- 1-CARD EXODIA COMBO Pendulum Exodia Jeffrey L. YCS Indianapolis 2023 Exodia deck
PLEASE READ:
This is my recreation of Jeffrey L.'s Pendulum Exodia deck he played at YCS Indianapolis 2023.
I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS STRATEGY.
This deck is not a perfect 1:1 with Jeffrey's deck, there are probably a few tech cards that are missing in my build. The basic combo is there though and I wanted to make this to share with others how freaking sweet searching out Exodia is, and so players can see the step by step
Basic Combo:
Get 2 warriors on board - Link summon Isolde
Isolde effect 1 adds vanilla Igknight scale (7 or 2). Isolde effect 2 sends Durendal to summon Renaud from Deck
Renaud adds back Durendal. Equip Durendal and use effect to search Ignis Phoenix
Scale Phoenix and Igknight. Activate Igknight effect to destroy scales and add higher or lower Igknight scale from deck (2 or 7. Depends on what was searched with Isolde effect 1)
Phoenix special summons Gallant from deck and makes it a tuner (lvl 6)
Synchro Summon Warrior Rockks (7) using Renaud (1) and Gallant (6)
Warrior Rockks adds back the first Igknight scale from face-up extra deck
Link summon Beyond the Pendulum using Isolde and Rockks
Activate on-summon effect to pay 1200 to add Harmonizing Magician from deck to hand
Reset scales and Pendulum Summon Harmonizing, Gallant, and Phoenix (Optional Pop 2 using Beyond the Pend. if going 2nd)
Activate Harmonizing Magician effect to special summon Purple Poison from the deck
XYZ Summon Timestar Magician with Purple Poison and Harmonizing
Detach 1 material to add Exodia The Forbidden One from deck to hand
Attempt to activate Igknight effect to destroy scales. Activate Timestar in response to send Blue Dragon Summoner from Deck to GY instead
Link Summon Selene using Beyond the Pend. and Timestar Magician. Activate effect to place 3 spell counters on Selene.
Activate Selene effect to remove 3 spell counters to special summon Blue Dragon Summoner from GY.
Link Summon Cross-Sheep using Summoner and Selene. Activate Summoner effect to add Exodia limb from deck to hand
Summon Dinoster Power using Phoenix and Gallant to a zone that Cross-Sheep points to. Activate effect to special summon Summoner from GY
Link Summon Selene 2 using Cross-Sheep and Summoner. Activate Selene effect chain 1. Summoner effect chain 2. Add Exodia limb. Place spell counters
Activate Selene effect to remove 3 spell counters to special summon Summoner from GY
Link summon Selene 3 using Dinoster Power, Selene 2, and Summoner. Activate Selene effect. Activate Summoner effect. Add Exodia limb. Place spell counters.
Activate Selene effect to remove 3 spell counters to special summon Summoner from GY
Link summon Apollousa using Selene and Summoner.
Activate Summoner effect to add final Exodia limb to hand
GG.
Again. NOT MY STRATEGY. All credit goes to Jeffrey L (Jeff W). This is simply for educational purposes before this deck inevitably gets banned.

I love how it’s just accepted that Jeff is allowed to play whatever he wants and it’s impossible to get mad at him like it’s almost a badge of honor to be mystic mine locked or exodia ftkd by the legend
Crl meno.... O cara fez mesmo isso.
I like how made the combos. My deck is a little different but the principle is the same.
Remember when Yugioh was a 2 player game?
Magical Scientist, Magical Library, Tempest Magician, Magical Explosion, and Exodia all send their regards. 😂
according to modern yugioh players, if a yugioh game that you plays is a 2 players game, you suck at yugioh... period...
They were all slower than modern stuff. Yugioh always had a speed/combo problem, but it wasn't the status quo like it is now. @@Mirai8
back in 2012, I placed 4th in regionals. half my games were kids scooping because the game "took too long" I had one guy flip the table and escorted out by security when the judges ruled against his claim of slow play against me. (I was running a stall/control deck) and in 2012 the game was still at least maybe 2-4 turns on average. so one could almost argue it was still a game at that time.@@zerocalvin
@@11thDC They were all FTKs that had no interaction going first because there were no good handtraps back then except DD Crow. The meta has always been degenerate, the less your opponent plays, the better.
I actually played back then, certain formats like DAD Returns was so expensive, you literally couldn't even compete due to price. If you managed to have the money to play during Tele-DAD, you were at the mercy of your opponent trying to stardust oppression lock you backed up with solemn judgment. Playground Yu-Gi-Oh isn't meta, it's never been a 2 person game.
What's the name of the game?
