Exactly how I think about the potential of AI, the collaborative approach is always going to be the leader in exponential growth. I got a degree in Computer Games Programming years ago, the thing that left the biggest impression on me was my research for my final year project on AI generation for computer games - I learnt how using AI could be cost-effective and quality-driven by using the mixed approach, i.e. having both human and AI work together to produce a result that is exponentially better than what either could come up with individually. Corporations cannot simply replace the artists with AI to get the best results, they must employ the best artists with the best knowledge of the AI which can lead us into the future of exponential growth. Artists must seize the power that they deserve by harnessing the new tools which are given to us.

I'm sending this to every A.I. alarmist in the art community that I encounter. Which is A LOT, lately, I'm noticing on Threads, in particular. We have been fed data since we were born and, to this day, our brain computes a response to current data based on all the previous data we've collected. Intelligence is Intelligence. The only difference is the artificial one is an invalid and needs to be hand-fed data. The way humans collect data and extrapolate creative ideas from it and the way a.i. collects data extrapolates creative ideas from it is the same process. The only difference is a.i. can't feel emotion. If we can call what A.I. does, "plagiarism" or "theft", which is literally what everyone claims it is, then we have to apply that judgement to ourself as well. We look at paintings and later make our own art using the same kinds of brush strokes, colors, subject matter, perspectives etc. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes unconsciously. That is EXACTLY what a.i. is programmed to do. Imagine tossing a gallery full of paintings into a woodchipper then piecing together that data into another arrangement based on text prompts. Text prompts are like the thoughts we have. Only a.i. doesn't have "thoughts" . We have to whisper OUR thoughts in its ear to create what WE want. Same/same.
