If you knew _anything_ about goalkeeping you'd know that the ones close to your body are 10x harder to deal with than the ones where you have to stretch. Stretchy ones look shit hot, but that's schoolboy stuff, the real keepers need to learn strong hands (you have no idea just how hard professionals actually kick the ball). Not just to deal with, but to parry into a safe position instead of straight back at the striker while you're sitting on your arse. Note the guys trying to push them behind the post or out wide and not back into play.
The save at 1:18 from Ruddy (I think it's Ruddy) always make me cringe. I've lost count of the amount of times I've shifted one of my legs to save the ball with my feet and studded my own ankle (I do manage to keep the ball out though). Incredibly painful indeed. But top marks to all three guys - some great reflexes.
3 Great keepers. As a tic fan I'd like to see bit Fraser get some game time but Joe Hart is current no.1 and a great keeper too....hell they're all great keepers...must be something in scottish water with all those great ex-SPL keepers you got in the EPL too....6 I think.
If this is how good England's keepers are, think of how amazing Germany's training sessions are. After all, they have four world class keepers who can easily compete with the likes of Hart, including the world's best goalkeeper, Neuer.
nick jbg Neuer definitely isn't overrated. He makes fantastic saves on a regular basis that most other keepers could not reach, and on top of that, he plays as a sweeper to help out his defense. He's also relatively fast for a keeper and has better ball control that most outfield players. And he can throw and kick the ball farther than the vast majority of goalkeepers. He is definitely the world's best keeper, and if people were not so biased towards offensive players, he might have even won the Ballon d'Or.
I must say, we have some great talents in our squad, I just hope that one they will be able to play at their best when it matters - World Cup 2014! #England #WC2014
Doubtful. England probably won't even make it out of the group stage. Besides, what great talents are you talking about? You have no keeper at the level of Neuer, Casillas, or Buffon. You have no midfielder who can create chances and distribute the ball well, like Xavi or Schweinstieger. You have no world class striker, like Messi, Neymar, or Ibrahimovic. Not even as good Suarez, Balotelli, or Lewandowski. As a matter of fact, England has practically no playmaking stars that can compete with the likes of Ronaldo, Ribéry, or any of the players mentioned above.
Those are all good players, but they are not difference makers. They do not turn a losing situation to a winning one. To be a World Cup winner (or even semifinalist), you need at least some sort of star player. And players like Rooney and Gerrard cannot compete with the best in the world. Rooney is aging, and he wasn't too good to begin with. I think England will have better luck with Welbeck, even though he lacks experience. Gerrard can do the basics, but not much more. Neither can singlehandedly carry their team to victory, and the team as a whole can't compete with the likes of Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Germany, and Italy. Like I said, England's players aren't terrible, they just aren't great, world class, five star talents like Messi, Ronaldo, or Ribéry. So tell me, are any of England's players really as good as the top players in the world? Does the team have exceptional chemistry, like Spain or Germany? No! And I heard that from fans of England. They hope their team will succeed, but they are being realistic. Without some sort of miracle, England will not win this World Cup, nor will they even get close to the title.
Brett Davey Oh yeah? Then why did the German B team beat them in the actual game that they were preparing for in this video? When was the last time England actually played as if they were a world class side? I certainly can't remember a recent World Cup in which England performed better than expected.
Brett Davey What? Did you just ask if I personally played in a World Cup? If so, none. How many have you played in? Also, what are you talking about? If England's players don't perform well when it actually counts, then like FC BAYERN said, they can't do it in real games.
This video shows English goalkeepers making good saves. And all I was saying, in response to FC Bayern, is that they do do this in actual games. I've seen Joe Hart do it with my very own two eyes. Has nothing to do with outfield players and the failings of the English National Team. So please, calm down. Are you a German? Or are you just up their arse?
Because Germany is a lot better than England. Even their B team has several players who are better. Gomez, Podolski, Schürrle, Khedira, Badstuber, Weidenfeller. All great German players who probably won't start in the World Cup, and all of them are easily as good as the English starters. Remember, Germany is a team where players like Özil, Götze, Kroos, and Müller have a hard time getting a starting spot, while any of them would be stars on England.
manuone oneuman I wouldn't say the worst. He's not particularly good if you compare him to real goalkeepers like Neuer, Casillas, and Buffon, but England hasn't had great keepers historically either, so it's not like they set the bar very high.
TheLordoftheRavens Nope, but he did have the best player who ever lived, plus a legendary Brazil team as well as a amazing German team Casillas is a brilliant keeper, but not as good as you're hyping him up to be Yashin is 100x the player casillas or banks was
How can people blame joes performance vs Germany? He did nothing wrong and made a good saves, the performance vs Germany was just terrible play from the entire team...
Because we love a scapegoat in this country. We love pointing the finger at _one thing_ when all of it is/was shit. We always blame keepers (ever since Seaman vs. Ronaldinho). I personally blame our shitty strikers, because goals win games. It doesn't matter if your keeper lets in 3 goals if you've got a strike force that can bang in 4, y'know what I mean?
What a coach, very disciplined and great coaching techniques.
Ruddy looks incredible.
Ruddy looks in some serious form there.
Great coaching!!!
Fraser Forster is so underrated
I fu*ken LOVE this stuff!! Good coaching, great keeping!!
Nice to see john ruddy playing for England
Fire!!!!
john ruddy is nice goalkeeper :)
"It's worth the grimace, don't worry" haha love it! Keep up the good work
Ruddy easily looked the best out of the 3
For a big guy Forster is very agile.
All great goalkeepers
All the shots are straight into them!!!!

@TragiiiKz - Yeah, because it could be painful.
@TragiiiKz - Yes?
FIRE!!
Those last two saves from Hart were superb. Forster is a great no.2 for us to have as well. Just a shame neither of them are at Liverpool!
Haaaaaaa
Mate he will at Manchester City and not join ur team
no one cares about liverpool
What a saves
that was so fuckin intense! all my muscles were clenching

0:38 was beast...

snaily w hes neither of those... so fucking stupid and over rated

Fraser Forster could be the first choice for England.
good thing he had a ball this time
Is it just me or all I can hear is great save john from Joe 😂😂
i must say this is cool
And they say England haven't got any decent keepers!!
If you compare them to the best, like Neuer, Cech, Casillas, and Buffon, England's keepers look bad. That's why they say England has no good keepers.
Instructions to shoot the ball "fire" XD
I must say, we have some great talents in our squad, I just hope that one they will be able to play at their best when it matters - World Cup 2014! #England #WC2014

Anyone know what jacket they are wearing?
Joe Hart should be at Liverpool
This is my Radko Kiss
And not a single goal was conceded that day.
Actually, they lost 1-0. But they were playing Germany. What do you expect? In that game, the German B team even beat them.
-_-
TheLordoftheRavens no because we beat the German b team lost to england b team actually
Yes then James!!!!! ;)

Joe Hart. Saves. Don't be stupid!
England has great goalkeeping!
The problem is that the other players suck
its a shame they cant do it in real games
Pretty sure they do.

Probably 1990 or 96 Euros lol. But that isn't what I'm talking about. How many World Cups have you played in anyway?
Brett Davey What? Did you just ask if I personally played in a World Cup? If so, none. How many have you played in? Also, what are you talking about? If England's players don't perform well when it actually counts, then like FC BAYERN said, they can't do it in real games.

THE WALL! \o/
why couldn't joe do this vs germany

True but I'm saying that Joe Hart is the worst keeper to play for england.get butland

England goalkeeping school is so bad :))
Lol "Thats the improvised save" its almost as if Goalkeeping is fake.
How can people blame joes performance vs Germany? He did nothing wrong and made a good saves, the performance vs Germany was just terrible play from the entire team...

Camberwell86 completely agree....
All of it is scripted
Joe Hart is a bad kicker
Great coaching!!!
