Me and my mom have been a Bible study on how to mature in Christ and then the word on Sunday was about growing up In Christ and now this message. It’s time to grow up. I did all these things back in the day. But over time have gotten complacent. Thank you for living a surrendered life

New Testament only speaks of singing not instruments
Thank you for your comment S Crow. In response I will say: All throughout the Old Testament we see the use of instruments used to worship God. No where does it say that instruments as a form of worship became forbidden or sinful in the New Testament. That would seem to be straining a gnat.
In Ephesians 5:19, the phrase “making melody” is the Greek word, psallo which means, “1) to pluck off, pull out, 2) to cause to vibrate by touching, 2a) to touch or strike the chord, to twang the strings of a musical instrument so that they vibrate, 2b) to play on a stringed instrument, to play, the harp, etc. 2c) to sing to the music of the harp.
We can see that the making melody to the Lord involves the use of musical instruments.
In addition, the book of Revelation clearly depicts the use of harps in heaven. See Revelation 5:8 and 15:2. A harp is an instrument that is used in heaven to worship our God.
Worship is a matter of Spirit and Truth. Such is what the Lord is looking for.
Now if you have a matter of preference with singing over the use of instruments and you feel convicted by that, then walk in the light of the truth that you know.
Be blessed🤍🙏
