This was my brother’s favorite song, the only song I’ve heard him listening all the time without getting tired till he passed away 3 years ago. Every time I hear this song I remember of my late brother.
He had released this about a year ago and it went absolutely nowhere, didn't even make it to the top 100. Then after the movie, it hit the top 40 and just sky rocketed. Funny what a Academy Award does to a person
Is it me......I have never seen his movie but here I am listening to him singing and tears just start flowing down my cheeks. POWERFUL! BEAUTIFUL voice and a beautiful man.🤗
In the film nashville.the women in the scene when he sings this beautiful song are mesmerized by it .and yet here looking at the ladies listening to Keith carridine sing ,are just as mesmerized.🌹
I had a crush on Keith Carradine WHEN l was a young girl... l am Black... l was very attractive then... l think j if l met him it would have been on . I like an easy going nice guy....and intelligent too. .
just man, his voiice and his guitar plus some mesmerized audience. it's like im still listening d radio, sounds d same. why can't artist of 2day make something like this? such a shame...
On this day in 1976 {August 24th} Keith Carradine was the guest co-host for the day on the Philadelphia-based syndicated weekkday television program 'The Mike Douglas Show'... At the time Mr. Carradine's "I'm Easy" was at #32 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart, three weeks earlier it had peaked at #17 {for 2 weeks} and it spent 19 weeks on the Top 100... "I'm Easy" was featured in the Robert Altman movie 'Nasville', and it won* the Academy Award for 'Best Original Song'... * Most critics predicted that the winner would be "Do You Know Where You're Going" by Diana Ross from the movie 'Mahogany'...
He looks like my honey in a thinner version. 😂 still one of my fave cuz I heard my dad listening to this song and whistling to this tune. Born in the 80s.
So grateful to see and hear this again. I watched Mr. Carradine perform this on the televised Oscars, and both the immediate and greater audience was spellbound. Is this the same Oscar performance, or a performance at the Golden Globes? I'm guessing the latter, but will stand corrected. If memory serves, his performance at the Oscars was done at a slightly slower tempo, and the crowd was mesmerized to the core. Thank you so much, Mr. Carradine. Thanks, Drugo960, for this treasure.
I have heard that KCarradine's voice is very similar to Cat Stevens and/or Jim Croce. All three are great. I like Cat Stevens voice and I prefer Carradine over Croce. 🤗
Curiously enough, Croce has the most conventionally beautiful voice of the three, more mellow and less tart. Anyway, the three of them are all "high tenors", a type of voice which has always been popular (and still is) in the US, especially for singer/songwriters

Keith Carradine won an Oscar for 'best original song' with this song! He's an amazing talent!

Keith has such a unique voice and style. It's weird that he didn't do a lot more music and touring.

One of my all time favorites!
A beautiful simple melody and a provocative lyric blend to create an Oscar-winning song for Carradine.
what a master
Canzone che amo moltissimo... Ciao Pas!
Always loved this. So hopeful and so hopeless at the same time. Appreciate the post
Great song. He was very good in 'Nashville' (a fantastic Altman movie), which is where I know this song from. His voice sounds a bit Axel Rose-ish.
I really love the song’s on 70’s and 80’s.
Me too.
Its how I feel love and honesty is. The words are beautiful and real.thank you for karaoke version.
