    Daula Hotel was not abandoned. It was operating as institute of tourism studies when you sell it out. Triumph was not abandoned as well. It was operating as institute of media studies when you close it down and sell it.. All the land you talk about were public buildings that you demolished and converted to private shopping plaza. You did not talk about Hasiya bayero hospital that you sold to state APC chairman. It was confiscated as well. The new government is taking back those properties to the public

    • @Aro_Gidigba
      @Aro_Gidigba Před rokem +2

      Ganduje didn't sack Sanusi because of criticism, but rather the emirate elite had lost patience with Sanusi who had been bitting more than he could chew.
      There were issue with the management of the emirate Treasury, the sharia court and some utterances he made publicly. Sanusi is Kwakawso friend and he made it publicly known he didn't have any support for Ganduje that was the final nail ony the coffin

    • @tivlumunaminde7911
      @tivlumunaminde7911 Před rokem +1

      Due process is universal principle, & must be followed at all times, be it about individual, group, or society. However, the case of Sanusi should not be compared to that which has affected a larger number of people. This is clearly a case of of personal vendetta by Kwankwaso, and Kwankwasiya movement.

This is not a good way to start for the new Governor as the Developer has institute a case of 10 billion naira for damages done.

Our political leaders must understand and put public good ahead of their personal interest. If governments begin to undo policies of previous administrations, and partnership legally entered in to, will erode Investor Confidence and, by extension, a blow to the PPP call by government. This is a road block to Nigeria progress which President Tinubu spoke about. A reverse gun barrel hole: Was the public properties ceded to private partners with the public knowledge and consultation? If so, the present administration should follow due process to reacquire if they so wish. Otherwise they should desist from destroying the private investments because Kano residents stand to suffer the consequences.

    The bane of Nigeria politics is corruption .We have corrupt and greedy leaders , who are very low on life philosophy, they fail to forget that what goes around comes around. It costs nothing to be humble , upright and wise . The monies we are talking about is the people's money , the power comes from the people , why not ponder over these and show some respect to God and the people . Also, why demolish, thats wasteful, you can renegotiate the existence of those buildings instead of pulling them down.

      How exactly is that relevant here? If he had benefits in it, so what? He is a politician after all. What is more important is how beneficial these projects have been to citizens of the state. Till this moment, I have not read or heard any convincing arguments from Abba's camp. It's largely been emotions and public shaming. Of course, emotions work well with the public. Hitler and Mussolini stayed in power for years because they were masters at manipulating public emotions. In this whole regrettable fiasco, I look at the number of people who have been rendered jobless, the investors whose confidence have been shattered and the ripple effects of these in the future, the hundreds of millions that the state government would spend fighting cases in the courts. Why would one want to incur these over personal vendetta? I am no fan of any politician in Nigeria or anywhere else (Theresa May is the only exception). Ganduje has his many flaws, some of them unforgivable but on this, he's got a more compelling case.

      @@AbdulmuminA Bro, when citizens by indolence or pro-activeness encourage Corrupt politicians in any form, it's a doomsday for the country. Accepted, politicians are commonly corrupt, but it shouldn't be the accepted norm for the citizens. Ganduje's outcry is not for the investors or the job opportunities lost, but, his own pocket and protection of his cronies.
      True investors will always find a way around the current situation.
