I saw this book in hands of students from all over the World when I travelled Europe and lived in two of the most diverse cities of it, Brussels and London. I saw a young boy from Ghana, girls from French, and yes, Londoners too who used this book as their best tool to understand The Language. Mr. Murphy, you created the universal English grammar book. We all appreciate your efforts. Thank you.
Yes, he is a genius. I am a student from a university in a course to graduate English teachers and we have as a reference his books, which it is the best by the way.

Dear Sir,
English is and was always a second language in my country Nepal. I tried improving English by reading and going through many grammar books but those reading never helped me. And one find day I came across this book "Intermediate English Grammar" by Reymond Murphy and my whole life become changed. Its been more than 20 years since I first read this book. He has explained the idea of grammar so clearly in the book that any body can master the language, so did I. At last, I would like to say that your book changed my whole life, if you had not thought of writing I would not been able to write my word of gratitude to you in ENGLISH language. Thank you for thinking about the problem of a student like us.

These books are one of the reasons I enjoy teaching grammar. I always get excited when I recommend them to whoever needs a grammar review because they are amazingly clear and succinct, with logical explanations and well thought out practice. They are a joy to hold and use for both the teacher and the student.
In my 20 years of teaching I have not encountered a grammar book that would be on a par with the two English Grammar in Use books by R. Murphy!
This is the best book for learning English, trust me I have read many grammar book but this one is different. May god bless this wonderful teacher.

I'm a Senegalese geographer. Your book, which I practiced with in 2017, has been such a helpful material. The money I gave for the English Grammar in Use is trifling compared to what I gained in language acquisition, and I still use it as a reference.

Finally, I've seen and heard this great scholar of time! You changed the field of teaching the English Language. All other books are too much academic and their exercises are not realistic. You are my hero, Mr. Murphy! I teach English to private corporate students in New York, and your Intermediate Grammar in Use is the one I use or recommend to everyone. I like the layout -- the relatively simple explanations on one side and the exercises on the other. Your book has taught me so much about English -- the way you use your linguistic knowledge to explain certain points, like how to use "will" when making a decision at the time you say it; and more. All my grammatical best to you!
I am really grateful for the opportunity to see the author at last. So nice to listen to the person who not only knows and loves his native language, but makes the other people know and love it as well. An amazing story that how organically those books were developed. Many many years ago, I learned English with one of that book series and now my kids are using them as well. Thank you so much Mr. Murphy! Your books are the best for learning English grammar. I speak Korean and Spanish. I wish there're grammar books for other languages like his.

His work has given me an enormous support for me as a language teacher.
It has been my most-used teaching resource in 30 years teaching here in Thailand. It also taught me a lot about grammar myself, to the extent that I was able to get a job in the media here. Hats off to this guy.

I'm from Pakistan and I have been completely defected in English since I learnt English from the books Which I used to ,but one day I challenged myself that I will do a lot more in my life. As days wore on,I got confused what to do. So I opened Google search and wrote which is the best book of English grammar ? Anon got treasure which was Mr. Murphy's best English grammar book.The same time I went to market and bought that book and I was really feeling better and better to see that treasure in my hand and now I'm feeling that I'm able to speak and talk in English language without any hesitation ....
