she was too young to be pregnant, and still in college I completly understand why she got so scare. But Toby was a sweetheart in this scene, it broke my heart. I didn't blame any of them, though, that kind of think happen all the time in real life.

I think that Troian and Keegen should win a award for best scene they killed it it was emotional and sweet at the same time I want them to get back together so bad I wish it would off been true and she was pregnant that way it would off give it more tension

For me what Spencer says to Toby is perfect , this will not be a blessing for her, she is very young, just starting a career , they do not live in the same city , and she has expectations for their future that does not inluyen a baby and that does not make it be bad person ( for those who say that spencer treated badly Toby) , she told him what she thought. And if she did not think a future (married with children) it is not because she is a bad person , how old she was at the time? nor by chance I imagine married with children with my boyfriend at this age. And though she is of age when this happened , neither does bad not imagine that. Spencer was honest , toby delirious "you are talking like if we were ruining our lives , this is not what eventually plan ? " NO TOBY THIS IS NOT WHAT WE PLAN , I have 20 years, i don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow

I love spoby but I've always felt really sorry for Toby. It's just always seemed like Toby wants to talk things through with Spencer when they argue but she never feels the same. This scene made me so sad :(
That's because it wasn't up for discussion for Spencer. She did not want to have children, she's very driven and had a long education ahead of her and children would destroy all that she's worked for. There was nothing for her to discuss and he did not understand that

@@KP-ej7gc she wasn’t ready. She wanted to finish college. Just bc he donated half the so Erm doesn’t mean she should be forced to have a child she didn’t want. So Toby can be stuck raising the kid alone while she looked like the bad person? Why should she have to be forced to carry a kid she doesn’t want? The toll in would put on her body and ruin her college experience? At the end of the day it should be up to the person whose actually going to be the one to give birth. Toby isn’t even ready to raise a kid either. Toby had his own career path and like Spencer said, didn’t even live in this state. It would be so hard for both of them to raise a child in this world, whether alone or together. Besides, if you remember the episode correctly it wasn’t a real pregnancy it was a scare. She thought she was pregnant but she wasn’t. Nonetheless it scared her so she broke things off with Toby bc she learned that he was ready to have kids but she wasn’t

Troian really deserves an award for this show it wasn’t only this storyline she acted perfectly she also had Spencer’s battle with addiction and an eating disorder she’s an incredible actress 🥰
I love this scene not just for the acting by both actors but because this scare, a possible future with a baby being involved, brought up a lot of underlying problems the pair were having. Spencer wasn't sure about her future and Toby feels like being a cop was enough for him but felt that Spencer wanted him to have more even if he was content with where he was.

When I saw this on tv I thought she was pregnant and had an abortion. That's why they broke up!! But now I'm rewatching today.
She did say that they almost were in the same position as Yvonne (she had an abortion in high school). That means they had a pregnancy scare and would've had an abortion if she was, but she wasn't pregnant.
