Todd good to see your video's again. I think i would of tried fine tunning with ventures before or with Head shims as well. Venture's are easily over looked .some ppl don't even understand that air fuel mixture is so important on 2 strokes and 4 stroke Engine's. So when you throw combination of shims ventures and pipes that's taking a big swing to these lil Engine's. Might even need .5 mil shim..i think you gave up too Early bc you made a very good adjustment with Head shim already. Just an idea Bud TC later
Thanks for the videos. You have some pretty interesting engines. I've never heard of the OPS engine . Do you know anything else about it? I'm curious as to what factory it was made in. Have you ever run it ? Is it any good? Thanks again for all the videos
I'm not positive, but I think OPS manufactured their engines themselves in Italy. They were pretty popular in the 80s-90s, also made glow plugs. I have heard great things about them, and while it has great top end I was never able to be totally satisfied with the bottom end. After swapping carbs, adjusting head clearance, clutch tuning, etc. I got it darn close. Certainly good enough to race. But it just never felt the way I like.
And I don't feel bad my interest come back back and forth back and forth. At the moment I'm back into racing. I'm just trying to get everything back to like it needs to be. I spent a bunch of money trying to get everything backed up where it used to be. But I know the feeling sometimes you got to take a break and do something else. I also do the car audio thing as of late

Did you check the idle screw o-rings?
