People say I'm so old school doesn't matter because I can never let this music go this is my generation of when music gave positive messages and good feelings.
What I love about old music is, they're so memorable you can't stop playing the song. Pop songs these days, I would listen to them for 6 months and then they fall out of my playlist, never to listen to them again. Old music however, they keep coming back to me like a note strung right in my ears. Plus the drum beat, holy smokes is it awesome compared to a drum machine.

🕺I was like the "Dancing King" at the time when this came on! Miss those days. Flashing lights, Physcedelec images swirling on the walls, and lasers spiraling all over that dark dance room. And floor lit up to the beat. Had friends getting high just sitting around listening to rock. All bored. I had too much energy to be sitting down all the time on Friday and Saturday nights in the mid 70's.. The place we went to then was called the Poison Apple in Park Forest South, ILL back in 75. I was out clubbin it if you want to call it that! Kids today will never get the chance to experience that. Oddly it kinda came back again as a revival in the year 2000 with Trance Music. I was out dancing again 25 years later. Older guy by then. Picking up young girls at the time. Traveled alot. Heck I loved that place they called "The Church" in Denver Colorado back in 2000. Turned a old massive city church into a dance club. That was wild. Bizarre! But so cool! Seeing lights from outside through the religious stianed glass windows on the inside. Scary. But a neat idea. They had another Trance club like that in Amsterdam. Old huge brick church. I mean big. With like a 70 foot ceiling. But this one had like moving towering gargoyles on the ceiling as you would get lost in the music, lights, and people dancing all over the place! Just grab any girl that's alone. And so many to chose from. LOL! Wild times for sure! Today I'm just an old guy watching KC and the Sunshine Band again, thinking about my past, and typing messages on CZcams videos here. LOL!
I had the opportunity to watch and listen to them rehearse before a concert in Los Angeles in the 70's. Vinyl records could not capture the sound of this band. They were so much better in concert than their recordings. Even their choreography while playing instruments was unbelievable. So glad I was able to experience that!
The movie "Roll Bounce" & Sweeeeeetneeeees brought me here. Man, KC & TSSB were the bomb 💣 back in the day. I am so glad that I was fortunate enough to have grow up during one of the greatest musical decades for all time.

I was 16 and had a membership to a disco club called the Showcase, and yes, the drinking age was 18 then but membership gave you full privileges 😉. And yes, it was awesome to dance to this song! Good for you for appreciating great feel good music!

they won't, you see folks when it came out if you weren't into it you have no idea what is was...it was the "disco era", Saturday Night Fever started it all, for 3 years it was the shi+, if you didn't hit the clubs and love it don't expect it again...those of those who were there, hit 8 for 1s and danced our asses off know this. It died as fast as it came up, same with 80's music, there is no such thing as 20s music., sad
