great to have you back! These homemade, courtside views are in many ways more enjoyable than professionally broadcast tournaments where it's more difficult to appreciate ball spin and velocity, player footwork, line calls, etc.
Great to see this channel is back on business! I've been watching J10S videos on replay the past year because there are almost no other channels on CZcams that upload high-level college tennis
THAT . WAS . AN . AWESOME . MATCH! Too bad the match was abandoned. Both are fantastic collegiate players who I think would do very well in the pros. Thanks for capturing this match for us to enjoy, J10S! You rock!
“they would do very well in the pros”…not at this point they wouldn’t. Today they would get crushed in the qualifying of any ATP 250+ tourney. It’s the ball consistency really. With pros you see consistent 15-20 ball + rallies. How many 20 ball rallies did you see in this vid? It’s possible like I said but the difference between Pros and these guys is huge.
@@playbetter9194 I root for Arthur every time I see him. Uber talented. But do you really see him succeeding on the pro circuit? Possibly ..., I guess we'll see. I see him more likely working in Daddy's real estate empire or as a commodities broker or some similar enterprise. Just a feeling because I've never met the guy. Wish he had about 3 more inches in height. He'll be a fantastic tennis player for the rest of his life. But in 5 years I see him as 50 lbs overweight and playing club weekends at the swankiest club in the County.
looks like at the end Arthur wanted to continue and finish the match, but after Stefan's coach told him team match is decided, Stefan was happy to have the match not count as being played since he was in a losing situation anyways.
Should say 5-4 serving 40-0. Good update time on this video! This match just happened last week i believe. Great tennis from both of these guys. Seemed like USC player checked out the last 3/4 games.
@@LeoF30 Stanford had a 3-2 lead, and there are 2 singles matches remaining. The other singles match concluded with Stanford winning, so Stanford won the dual match at 4-2. When the dual match has concluded the players in the remaining matches can decide to stop their match since the team outcome has already been decided.
Love the video, great quality and angle, these guys are belting it. Stefan... is a massive tool. He is the kind of obnoxious gigachad "yelling C'MON after unforced errors" energy that I grew up playing against in high school and is the exact peen-measuring behavior that tennis, and humanity as a whole really, should be trying to do away with.
I saw him apologize for a mishit lop - also yelling "come on" can be a genuine way of keeping up intensity and trying ones best as a competitor to be in the right spirit and mindset...Sure, if it's coming after a double fault or unforced error that's probably not the best, but it didn't look like that was what was happening to me.
@@againsthegrainx7556 I agree and mostly what it felt like to me was he was yelling Come On so loudly because he had no supporters basically and was trying to keep himself pumped up. If I was playing against him I'd definitely find it obnoxious but at least he was respectful during the points which is all I care about. There was no excessive grunting and his calls seemed fair to me so the loud come ons are kind of no biggie.
Both players very fair on line calls, nice to see. Yelling come on rustles so many people, I don’t see the big deal. If you can’t handle it, don’t play or watch.
Can anyone explain how this match gets logged from an individual standpoint? For the collegiate singles rankings? Does Fery get the win since he was leading or do they treat the match like it was never played?
Since USC had already lost overall, the USC coach decided to terminate the matches. Terminated matches do not count towards the playing record of the athletes, so they waited until the last point of this one to abandon.

Arthur in this match is like that guy I hate to play against because he intends to make every point a 1 min long rally like we're training, just never goes for a risky move and always hits the ball back to the center of the court
thats not true tho. He hits it in the center for the first few shots and then when a ball shits up high he goes for the down the line or sets up for an approach. that is what you are suppose to do. wait for a weak ball instead of just smacking it at all times.
started rooting for the stanford player after i heard Stefan warcry for the 50th time. It's like those violinist that make hella weird faces for every other note they play. Chillll
What’s the point of the umpire if the players are already calling their own shots?? There were so many tight/close calls I would’ve definitely challenged (is that even allowed?).
How many times does Fery need a coach to run out on court in a single game to say nothing except "This is annoying the other dude, so I'm doing it. Go tree."
@@behameenk1000 Stanford already clinched so the USC coach abandoned the match so his player wouldn’t take the L on his record. Cowardly but legal in NCAA tennis.
Tennis, at least mainly on the men's side, has really become unenjoyable to watch. This match is between two of the premier college tennis schools and these guys are constantly shanking balls, missing returns of serve, and otherwise making a ton of errors.....oh but hey, they can knock the crap out of the ball. It's a no for dog.
Wtf does “it’s a no for dog” mean? Are you trying to sound like an American Idol judge but forgot the line ? I doubt you could hit half as good as either player.
Great playing. As arrogant as it sounds, I think i could roll with these guys. Anyone know where I can find quality competition? I’m willing to prove myself but it’s hard to find high level players outside of college…

Want to fix college tennis, start with that ending. Brutal.
7:28 was called out right? because it was quite out and i didn't hear a call
Dostanic has an excellent service motion

Never played.
30:17 LOL 😂😂😂 Epic voice crack or whatever that was!
What happened at the end? Distanic wanted to play but the other guy didn't?
Anyone know the name of the racket they are using
I saw they keep playing when serve hits the net and bounce inside the service box, is that the special rule for this tournament?
College rules because players cheat on aces, you play lets
Will you be at USC v UCLA?
what's good boss
What happened at the end? Dostanic retired? But why?
4:10 why wasn't the first serve be repeat? Wasn't it net?
Why are they not finishing matches ? it used to not be that way .....
why was the match abandoned?
Since USC had already lost overall, the USC coach decided to terminate the matches. Terminated matches do not count towards the playing record of the athletes, so they waited until the last point of this one to abandon.
What happened at the end?
What does it mean for a player/team to “abandon” a match? Is that a college tennis thing? Is it the same as a default?
Stanford had already won when the last game was going on, the coach can choose to call the match when the overall winner is already decided.
