Thank you for creating and sharing this. Been seeing too many cars on the shoulder after the atmospheric rains that increased the number of potholes.
Can I file a claim for all the damage potholes have done to my car driving down E. 14th for 10 years ?
Hit a pothole several days ago (March 15, 2023 around 2pm) where I-280 north splits off to Junipero Serra Blvd and right before the Alemany Blvd overpass in San Francisco, after pulling off into a street, I was unable to take a picture of the pothole because of the amount of traffic coming off from I-280.
I've already ordered over $600 for the parts that I was able to visually see, but I know there's going to be more (hoping there isn't more) once the repairman from the repair shop I usually go to comes to my house and see what I missed, and as of March 17 some time in the afternoon, I barrowed my dad's truck and went to the same location of the pothole and noticed the pothole was already covered up.
PS. more than a dozen cars became victims to the same pothole that day.
I filed a claim with the city of bell, and the answer their adjuster gave me was that it all depends on how many people call. Which to me made no scene if I'm providing them with all the photos they asked me for as well as the mechanics receipt... almost a month and haven't heard from them
Anyone know how to file claim with support doc with videos?
I just don’t know why the city doesn’t just maintain the god damn streets and freeways! Cars get flat tires. Motorcyclist get seriously injured or die over them.
They can fix the pothole but the next rainstorm will undue all of that.

It’s crazy how made a whole video but the pothole you should in the video is still not fixed.
Happened to me this week. I didn't take a photo, but I had it fixed before I knew about this. Spent $560. The pothole was on the freeway. Please tell me I have a chance. 😢
Potholes are everywhere in SF Bay Area. Obviously getting worse in recent years. Wonder where the budget went

Hit a pothole coming out of the altamont and had a tire blowout causing suspension and wheel damage I filed the claim with caltrans and they denied it stating they were unaware of the pothole prior to my incident 😡
I think this happened to me. My back left tire blew out shortly after going through a pothole. I was driving back to Cameron Park from Granite Bay when I heard a loud “thunk”. I cringed, thinking “f*ck, my tires are gonna be ruined”. Turns out I’m psychic because I felt the back left end of my car sinking a bit. I drove to the closest gas station to fill up the tire, not knowing it was punctured because it was dark. It wasn’t until I got home that I truly saw the damage. Now, I’m driving on a spare tire that looks like a donut while waiting for a new tire. This f*cking state wants me to prove my car is roadworthy, when they should be proving if their roads are car-worthy. 😡

Your idea of potholes are a joke compared to what you'll find on the Schuylkill expressway in Philadelphia or any other road in Pennsylvania. They've got potholes that your car actually fit into. Oh and "repaired" is only marginally better. I'd pay good money to see some clown try to take a picture of the offending pothole. 😂🍻
