The prices of these fragrances are quite staggering, but all luxury goods are going crazy on pricing. Selling fewer items but with each item so expensive may result in the company having greater overall sales figures? E.g., selling 4 at $200 each compared with 3 at $300 each? Maybe that is their strategy? Your videos are the best!

I think the brands overpriced their leather goods and accessories, like shoes and small leather goods. Due to this high prices, their sales dropped. So they have to make their money somewhere else “fragrance” and “ Cosmetics”. That’s why so many brands are launching new fragrance lines and makeup and cosmetics.

@@vscents5674 I agree with your ideas. Some brands pre--pandemic stores were selling four purses at $4k each per month, but now they are selling two purses at $12k each per month. The brand is happy because gross sale $$$ are higher, but what about the supply chain? Half of what it was. And what do the brands do with excess product? With fragrance, some seem to immediately sell to discounters, while others do not seem to sell ever to discounters (Chanel?). It is a messy business and not very transparent.
