I have been traveling through East Asia in specific Indonesia for about 18 days. I have had such an experience here and apparently getting my hair done is one out of the many things I have gone through while being here..

Why would you go somewhere where you don't feel that these people are here professional don't know about your hair you set yourself up I have natural hair and I would not go to korean salon unless they dealt with African American hey so you set yourself up looking bad cuz I'm looking at you and it's like it's not good enough it's not good enough I give him a plus what effort you have a stank attitude and you should have never made this video

Heat damage doesn't come from one visit to Professional Beauty Parlour it comes from overtime hair breakage doesn't come from going to a hair stylist one time it comes from not taking care of the hip for several months or years and I am so embarrassed for you you had the stankus attitude like you had to show him what to do why didn't you stay at home and do your own hair I just didn't like what I saw on the video
Sheila Orangd Wrong! You can get heat damage one time depending on how much heat is used. Doesn’t have to be the whole head also. It could be one piece that has heat damage.
@@sheilaorangd1967 I actually got my whole head of new hair growth burnt in one session at a African slaon. The woman didn't dry my hair correct and burn the crap out of my hair. I didnt know it was that bad until I got home and had blisters on my scalp and my head felt like it was burning and the smell was nasty. She also blamed me getting burnt on my flinching 🤦♀️ Never went back and shaved it all off
I've watched quite a few of these salon experience vids from black women who go to get their hair done in Asian countries. All they have to do is wash and condition our hair. Put some heat protectant on it and put the hair on large rollers. Let the hair dry under a hooded dryer until it's completely dry. Then oil their hands to take down the rollers. It can either stay in curls and fluff or if the person wants the hair straightened then you can go in with a flat iron. This way is so easy plus your not putting a whole lot of heat on the hair and you're making your job easier for yourself. They are really making this more harder than it needs to be. Our hair can be very easy to manipulate with the proper knowledge.

@@sheilaorangd1967 i agree with you. i'm amazed that people are celebrating her and applauding her in the comments, when she was being rude, the stereotypical american chick with the attitude, making faces. it's just very unbecoming of her. If she already knew from jump that the man wasn't gonna do a good job, and also after he showed in several instances that he was out of his depth, then why stay in the chair? Why bother at all? Why proceed to do his job for him? That's also humiliating to him as a stylist. some americans give us all a bad rep, and she's definitely one of them.
@@Adriftinasea there's nothing wrong with helping somebody who doesn't know what they're doing. Everyday there's something new to learn, and gaining knowledge, even if it's from the person in your chair, is still knowledge that's worth having, in case another African-American were to come to the salon. I'm a cosmetologist, and I've learned that every day there's something new that you can gain, including from the clients in my chair.

Of time using too much heat on the head not by one application at a beauty salon I feel so sickened by looking at this video and her arrogant way why didn't she go to someone who knows about her head even though I know there's a lot of Asian stores now a beauty salon that cater to African American hair or curly hair I was embarrassed for her and I hope that no one else does this because it's not a learning experience for anybody is just sad degrading of herself and the person that was doing her head

Every black person who has had their hair done in China says that the shampoo process is amazing. So we know that's a plus across the board. But the other stuff got to be worked on to show versatility

I'm glad you didn't just sit there and tried to instruct him on what to do. You gotta pay for it so might as well get the best results. I know that these Asian salons from all over are not use to doing our type of hair, but they are stylist and seeing as there are more African Americans that are now visiting and living in these countries, I do think they should try and learn the basics. I think it turned out nice and than you for uploading.
This is definitely one of the better outcomes. He was willing to learn and that's the main thing! One or two passes would have been better .... I lost count after pass number 5!!!!!

Reading these comments doesn't surprise me! Of course you can only judge this base on what you see and my reaction . First of all Yall didn't once see me being disrespectful or rude to the hair dresser and secondly he was doing two other black girls hair before he did mines! The end results was awesome. I loved it and I wasn't complaining! I thanked him plus give a 200 rupiahs tip . My hair didn't break or anything of that nature ! The title of the video and the thumbnail was indeed intended to get people to click and watch the video ! I even went back a second time to the salon and had the same guy do my hair before I left Indonesia! I also had my hair washed and blown out by two others salons ! Not complaining! Yes it was sure an experience and I know people of another ethnic background , as black people we assume that they can't do our hair , in some cases they simply can't but that is why it's also important to ask before doing anything ! If you know Mary Jane byram, she also did this on her channel!

It was nothing to laugh at it was sad and sickening to see that this girl walked into a Asian shop and expected them to do her head you number one you ask them do they specialize and African-American head and she sat there and she gloated like she knew more stay-at-home do your own hair and it was very sad that's what makes the relationship with different races of people strained by people like her and I am a African-American I have never gone to a beautician because I do my own here not that a black beautician or Asian beautician on white beautician don't know how to do my hair I just like doing my own hair weather is coloring it because I am a natural person my hair is natural and yes I do use cool heat on my hair from a blow dryer but I also use plant-based coloring and I just cried for that man and I shook my head for that young girl that was disrespectful very disrespectful and I hope she looks at her own video and I hope that no one else is gloating over what she did and said no she went in there to humiliate that man

Missy Yes it was straight, but it was most likely damaged. when I went to a hairdressers in China they couldnt even do my hair even thought I have natural straight hair they said its “because I have European hair” even though I am half Chinese so it made no sense, and my hair ended up all greasy and horrible

If her hair was damaged it wasn't damaged from that one episode with that man it was damaged because when she came in there it was damaged so don't think I want to the one time and they damaged my hair didn't put any chemicals that I could see in her hair and if there was something that she wanted him to do or some hair protective that she wanted him to use she should have bought it with her and ask him could he use that in her hair as a heat protectant I didn't even see him using Heat Protector so no one visit to his beauty shop did not damage her hair her hair was damaged when she went in there
