I drive a truck for a living in the US I play ets2. It's fun and relaxing. The thing is what the sim does is removes all the boring aggravating things about trucking and leaves in the enjoyable parts. Ets2 does a great job of condensing the drive without the feeling of being an arcade game or missing the experience. Trucking is a tough life and it takes a certain type of person to be able to handle it. We're treated like 2nd class citizens by people and the government and wages aren't what they should be. We work hard in all kinds of conditions and in some really nasty environments because they don't build warehouses or factories in nice neighborhoods. I'm glad you guys have respect for us and I wish everyone would consider what we do. We make the economy work. Without trucks people in modern societies would have nothing. Everything you own has been on a truck at some point even if you thought you made or grew your stuff the materials you used were transported to you by truck at some point. Thanks for understanding.

guys im gonna be a trucker myself as soon as i can drive but in europe, maybe not the best place: some govs are 100% sure apparently wed all be better off without trucks and we can do it easily. id be better off crushing their expensive cars with a truck
is it fun to do this as a job?

I was driving about in my car in London on ets yesterday and a guy without a trailer was driving up the wrong side of the road towards me, I then stopped before he got close, he rammed me full speed and then said 'reported you're driving up the wrong side' I was driving on the left like wtf 😂 Trolls are everywhere lol

The reason why the UK drives on the left is because when a person jousts, they hold the lance in their right hand, so you would need to be on the left of your opponent.

Also, for most people, the right eye is dominant, and driving on
the left is better because the right eye can focus on traffic.
One time playing this, my buddy and I were on a nice trucking job around the UK, then we found a guy heading the wrong way (this was before the speed limiter was implemented). I managed to dodge him, but my friend was hit, at a relative speed of at least 160mph. 100% damage on the trailer and the cab.

I don't know why its so good but I love it!
Keralis has a very pleasant voice. He's easy to listen to. I think the truckers that do this for a living and come home to do this on the computer, are doin' it because in the game they can be the boss of their own empire without it costing real money.
Omg, when I saw the sign for Hull I was like OMG! You was in Linclonshire which is where I live!
Most of our trucks in Australia have a sign on them that say "without trucks Australia stops"

I love watching your ETS2 videos more than I like playing the game itself. Also, I would love to see more collaborations with Keralis, he's such a cool guy.
Just a random info: the "left hand driving" (or right for that matter) depends on where Napoleon manage to get his hands on. Basically the countries who "accepted" the Napoleonic way of doing stuff, are right hand driving by now (in the meaning of right side of the road), while the countries where Napoleon didn't manage to get to or those who did rebel to hem kept the left hand driving.

Same here Paul. I wanted to be a trucker and now I am one. Got my license just a couple of months ago and I enjoy trucking everywhere. The ETS (euro truck sim) is actually quite relaxing to be honest :)
just started playing this again after about 9 months break and all I can say is WOW they have done some real work with the sound in this game since last I played it i mean the trucks sound freaking amazing all the little engine noises the cab noises... Its like a whole new game for me again.

Thailand drives on the left as well. Right driving was introduced because of large merchant carriages, since the drivers sat on the left they drove on the right so they could make sure their wheels don’t clip the wheels of a passing carriage.

I love it, you dont fall over alot on motorways, people aren't zooming past you and smashing and blocking.
And the speed in Europe is 90km/h.. so its a simulator, Plesae don't hate just stating my opinion on why I love the new limit, at the same time I hate it, cause I love zooming on straight motorways, but life is full of disapoinments
I agree with you there. Some countries have higher speed limits like France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Sweden, Lithuania, Estonia, and Russia while some other countries have lower speed limits like The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, Latvia, and Finland.
What you two should do is a top gear type of race, if you both pick a destination to go to and both of you take different routes to see how wins
Love watching your videos, been trying the demo version of this game. Now I just got to get the full version of it. it's a little more expensive here in Canada, so hopfully soon I'll be driving the full version.

This game made me build a gaming pc and become a pc gamer, probably wouldn't have done it anyways. Its certainly giving me some driving education for when I take my test.
As one of those people with a truck licence we just have a passion for the trucking life
When you and Keralis was talking about value of ETS 2 I fought that I'm the best example for its value. I paid about 25 euro (ETS2+Going East DLC and it was just after DLC's release) for it and so far I played it for 254h, I'm now level 91 and I've done over 335,000km in it (btw 330,000km in one truck->MAN). I'm not using any mods but there is something in Euro Truck Simulator 2 that makes me to come back to it. My goal now in it is to reach level 100 ;)

Had a discussion with a corporate car driver about that sticker...
He was like:"Trucks they hold everything up, they should ban trucks altogether..."
I replied:"So Imagine there's no trucks driving, how long do you think you can drive your car?"

Yes Australia drives on the left and we have a saying "Without Trucks Australia Stops" and its been put on shirts stickers bumper stickers decals and we drive on the left because when Australia was first discovered it was called New England

Most countries which were British colonies still drive on the left hand side of the road including huge land masses such as India, Australia and Southern Africa as well as the Caribbean. Europe generally drives on the right hand side apart from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta and Cyprus.

I loved this video you have made me love trucks more than I did when I was 3 years old in nursery as soon as I was able to get on you tube I instantly saw your name and fell in love with your channel more than I had any thing else in my life but when I saw that you have done loads of videos on euro truck simulator I wanted a pc to get it and the day I got a pc i saw how much its was and it was on sale I was over whelmed and I just got it instantly with a second thought on it now I'm 12 years old and I've done about 3 nearly 400 hours on it (not nearly as much as you) so now I'm starting to download some more of your mods you have installed so I can keep playing it for years to come. But the good thing about euro truck simulator 2 is that you can never run out of gameplay with all the mods there are for it so i see haw you have put so many hours on it so yea thanks for being awesome and keep being awesome. Also sorry i'm a bit late to this video I've had collage taking up most of my time. so as I said before keep being awesome and stay awesome bye

I know this well out of date for the video but on the subject of "wrong side of the road" it started on the left side of the road even in Roman times. The French switched to the right side because Napoleon was an awkward prick who hated the English. The Americans started the right side of the road thing because of convenience for driving the giant cargo carts they drove that had six horses with most people being right-handed. So us English lot stuck with the whole "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" strategy, the Americans went for helpful, the French decided to hate the English to the bitter end and the Germans then copied the French and that's where it started

When that guy did the side and he went towards Squirrel and Keralis, I did that once, because I missed a turn and a open space wasnt till another town away, so I had to and I felt really bad.

basically napoleon decided to make a law that said everyone drives on the right because it's less chaotic and because the english were at war with the french but actually trhought it was a good idea they decided to say; drive on the left

I did the other way around, I started watching your videos because of Euro truck. I actually found this game because of this big channel Bluexephos. They played a 5 hours livestream of it for Christmas a couple years back.
Well I work in the HR department (managing employees, etc.) and when I come home, I sometimes play football manager. It's basically the same thing except it's football and it's simpler and there's no risk. I do this because I take my job seriously and I want to be among the best HR personnel in the industry (that's my career goal) and playing football manager has really helped me get into the "flow" and help me understand different behaviors and scenarios. I reckon truck drivers do the same with ETS 2.

Hi Paul by the way you can check how many people are on the server in game. All you have to do is go on the in game chat (by pressing y on keyboard) and type in /players and click enter then you will get a message telling you how many players there are on the server ;) by the way great video

Hi Squirrel a great way to watch your road trip with Keralis if you have w/screen is to open his road trip posting in a new window and sync your video with Keralis then watch both simultaneously (note turn off sound on one)
I’m watching in 2018, because of Brexit, we might drive on the right hand side of the road - I have no idea how that would work though with Britain linking to Scotland, but I’ve heard rumours that when we leave the EU, we will drive on the right!
