Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.

After boring bore should be like glass with zig zag oil line no scratch should be there it ll leak.compressor after some time u should go wid more over size
1. That zigzag line is achieved by performing a process called honing which gives you that cross hatching pattern(x pattern) on cylinder walls. It is mainly done, so that the cylinder walls hold more oil for smooth piston movement and less chance of scratching/seizing. Probably the lathe where they rebored the cylinder did not have the honing equipment. Many mechanics use fine emery sheets or Scotch Brite pads to achieve the similar effect, but not recommended.
2. Here, the cylinder has been re-bored to the last size which is 1mm after .75mm. The issue is that it has been used up too much with the .75mm piston by the previous owner and the cylinder dia has become too big even for a 1mm piston. That's why, even after reboring, you are still seeing the scratch/seize mark on the intake side. You can't do much except to go for 1.25mm size, but you will not get 1.25mm pistons from named brands such as Goetz or Mahle.
In my rx135 also, we had to go from standard size piston to .5mm size instead of going for .25mm size piston, because the cylinder dia has become too big to fit .25mm piston.
I guess his cylinder will easily run for another 15k-20k kms with 1mm piston if he doesn't push it too hard all the time.

You have got all the original parts?? Because I doubt there are copy parts on market in Yamaha exact original packing and it's difficult to find out it's original or copy?? Unless you know the part number and quality identification.
all the performance parts are original and cosmetic parts are original as much as we can gather.
