ABOUT THIS VLOG:
➡ We have been to both semifinales of Sporting CP vs Benfica in the Taça de Portugal, where Sporting CP were able to advance to the final against FC Porto.
This is one of the most epic experiences to have, if you love football and the atmosphere that always follows. We've heard stories of the pregame atmosphere that is basically like a festival with music and relatively big artists playing on the scenes. It was a lot of fun to explore both the Sporting CP and FC Porto zone, where you would find happy people all over the place drinking tons of Super Bock and barbecuing like it was an actual picnic.
The highlight of the entire final da Taça de Portugal was of course that Joen's twin, Bas Dost, scored to 2-1. Bas Dost forever!!!

Joen, the National Stadium (Estádio Nacional) is the only neutral stadium in Portugal, that's why the Cup Final is played there. No way it could've been played at Estádio da Luz, let alone on one of the finalist teams' stadiums. ; )

It´s probably only gonna be renovated for it´s 100th anniversary, in 25 years.... (or if some tragedy happens in the meantime, which we all hope doesn´t occur...).

As a Sporting supporter I just feel sad you couldn’t get tickets for the Sporting side and be able to show us the atmosphere and the celebration of all the Sporting fans after this great and dramatic win. Now I ask you for a Vlog of the Nations League semifinals game Portugal -Switzerland in Porto on June 5 if possible and the final if Portugal get there. You could try to watch the Futsal finals between Sporting and Benfica also ( intense games ). In August 4 , I think , you have the Super Cup between Sporting and Benfica , another good game for a great football vlog !

The historical rival since the beggining was always Sporting, but for the last 30 years the dominance of Porto it's been so great that most Benfica fans probably hate Porto the most now. Very good video and a big hug for your Liverpool fan friend who was always betting on Porto lol
PS: You have to go to the Supercup which will be held probably in the end of August and most likely in Estádio Algarve. It will be Benfica vs Sporting and you can come and visit the south which is known for it's amazing beaches and great weather.

Thanks for posting this (and investing that much money on something you obviously had no understanding of). It's awesome to see it all unfold from a different perspective, I was up at early hours in the morning just so I could watch my Sporting finally win that cup that slipped us last year, all the way from Australia. This is by far the video with the most swearing, especially because you decided to sit next to the Porto fans hahaha
so guys, I can explain what happened. You most likely bought your tickets on the black market. This a match that only happens 1 time in 10 years (two big teams in the final of the Taça de Portugal). A regular fan won't sell you a ticket for a kidney, even less for 150€. The guys that sold you the tickets were from one of the organized supporter groups, they usually have plenty of tickets. Thats why you ended up in the middle of a tifo with not that polite people. I'm even surprised how they let you record any video. Among the organized supporter groups, you ended up in the least likable ones. Sorry about that. Next time, do what you did. Move around. Usually the areas around the organized supporter groups are more crowded, leaving open seats in the rest of the stadium.
Why do we play in this stadium?
The Federation doesn't want to play there, the clubs also don't like it that much. It's mainly for the tradition and space around the stadium. This is like a Superbowl day. You go to the middle of the parks surrounding the stadium and you just spend your entire day there. Drinking (that's why you have that many drunk people in the video) and eating, spending time with your friends. It's just an unforgertable day.
We definitively humble a little bit seeing ourselves through your eyes! That is good.

Sporting should honored you with the title "lucky charm fans" the last 2 games you guys watched live of Sporting we won and those were against both of our bitter rivals. What a game. Sporting played from the heart knowing its own limitations. Victory for the underdog but certainly a well deserved title after the hell that the club went through last year. Remember when i recomend you to go to Madeira? I have a new recomendation to you. Go to the futsal final playoffs between Sporting and Benfica at pavilhão João Rocha and you'll see the best fan atmosphere in Portugal for sure. There is nothing like it, you'll see true love for the club on a final that can go both ways. Guys i know there is a big temptation to become just another Benfica fan after all they have twice the number of fans of Sporting, the peer pressure alone is unbearable, but Sporting values suits you better, the respect for sports and the unconditional love and support for our team is one of the more classy things one can have, classy like you guys, you see? Stay classy especially that Bas Dost guy Amelie is dating.

That's our National Stadium, that makes 75 years old this year, it's like our very small Wembley. It has a big mean for Portuguese football fans. It's where all go to realy live football as it should be lived. So it's more than a stadium, it's a tradition and that's why everyone would be against playing the final at another stadium. Although we can all agree that it needs some big improvements, but not sacrificing the simbiose with the nature around, that's what turns it so beautiful.

You're actually lucky you didn't get into serious trouble in the stands. I can't believe you sat in an ultras section asking them to sit down to watch the game, while calling them idiots and filming their faces. You really got away with it.
I am not criticising you for wanting to watch the game and having fun because you were not rooting for any team in particular. But next time you really have to be mindful of where you are because things can easily turn bad really quickly. And this is coming from a Benfica fan, btw.

Let me tell you, you were very brave to go to the Porto fans and say Bas Dost! Unfortunately, going to the stadium is still very danger, specially in big games like these! But if you are careful, it’s worthy! It’s the best futebol shows! About the stadium, yes, it’s not the best stadium, but the finals are never in the house of the teams. And people never sit. Last year I went to the game. Me, my father and my brother had tickets, and we saw the game, sitting on the floor, because the tension was to big, and they don’t let us get to our sits. On these days, you better stay out of any kind of confusion! Loved the vlog, laugh so hard with “ Bas Dost” 😂😂😂😂😂
