2:30 the height of the quadrants are about the same not because they all have about the same amount of data necessarily in my opinion. They are the same because the same amount of data is spread over approximately same ranges below and above the median in the box and within the whiskers , hence uniformity may be assumed. The amount of data in each quadrant is fixed: 50% below median, 50% above, 50% data in box etc. The quantiles which determine the boundaries of the heights will always ensure each quadrant contains 25% of data. Still great explanation 👍

Hi, question: is the upper end (whisker) which is the maximum non unusual observation and upper bound the same thing? On my excel sheet for example I have a B/W plot diagram. The value of that line is not the same as the upper bound value (calculation: Q3 +1.5*IQR). Any comments please?

Please give your view on my answer.
#1 Skew. MAY shows right skew, June, relative symmetrical. JULY, AUGUST SEPTEMER are all right skew. Background: Asymmetrical or longer whisker in bottom or smaller than 25th percentile means the distribution has left tail. JULY has the most outliers of 2.
#2 Hours slept. I get the most sleep on Friday in general considering the highest median, 9 hours. I could say I get the least sleep in Thurs. as Thurs has the smallest median,6.2? hours

Female actresses receive Oscar at an early age than male …34 is the median age of a female Oscar for men is the age 43 … without the outliers ..at the age of 48 and above females do not receive oscars… while men do up to 62 ..If we consider the outliers it is the reverse 🔄
