I still haven't gotten around to fully arts boosting any unit, mainly because I'm farming all the required resources, but im going with Shallot as the first unit because he's the mascot of the game and I can't wait to see how they'll structure his Super Saiyan Blue transformation.

The max zenkai buff video basically affirmed to me he's lacking because he didnt do anything in that video at all. Here he had one good match against Uni Reps. The rest was just Kid Buu

i feel max arts boost works alot when you are lower star levels, it basically gets you more stars without needing to pull the units... my ultra kid buu is red 3 and fully boosted, has lived time skips from hit quite a few times with like 20k 30k hp... that would not happen if he was not boosted.
It doesn't really give you more stars tbh, art boost count as "boosted stats" while stars counts as "base stats" base stats can be multiplied by Z abilities, equips and zenkai abilities while boost stats cannot. Compared to stars, art boost is pretty crappy and doesn't even equate to 1 extra stars by the damage and reduction calculation
Arts boost is basically another soul boosting

Because he is good. Piccolo is a third wheel who farmed green cards for kid Buu while being rr fodder. When he went orange he did alot of damage. Piccolo's gauge ended combos so that goresh can get priority again

2nd match, Goresh got a rush in 22 counts, prior to his first rush. This team is lowkey insane given the characters that are available for it.

Finally fought some Orange Piccolos in ranked PvP man, free wins not a threat in the slightest so many other characters that are harder to fight. Fingers crossed for a buff.

Piccolo literary got one blue carded by ugb which didn't surprise me
Plus he did less damage than i expected on Blu zamas of all people

While I think Piccolo is good, this video highlights several issues:
As I stated since almost his released, his pre-revival form is mid. Once he uses his Main and Green, he’s RR fodder and him popping Greens off of Blues doesn’t make up for that.
Using his Green as Orange Piccolo to gain priority. In theory, this is a great combo and will kill most of the time. The issue, no one on Piccolo’s teams can force out Green cards outside of Piccolo’s himself pre-revival. So you’re left in a state begging for a Green. Also doesn’t help that Buu’s Green is straight up better, so he would get priority most of the time. For the most part, Goresh was playing sub-optimally trying to land Piccolo’s Green or trying to get a Green.
While the meta is Purple atm, Piccolos still has the best Yellow in the game protecting him, is a revival, and counters the Frieza side of G/F. It’s nowhere near as bad as when Revival Goku dropped and Gogeta was in almost every match and he was a Blast unit with the best Yellows on his team being Roshi and Zenkai SSBE. Both who were Blast. Heck, people are so bold that they aren’t running a Red so Buu has free rein. No one killed Buu once in this showcase and his Endurance was popped once off a Rush.
This is all to say, Piccolo feels like a third wheel.
All excellent points. He cant even say "so many double purples" when he barely fought any in this video. He just made every match around Kid Buu because thats just optimal. Piccolo is literally just the third wheel.

A Revival unit can have a good first life and not be complete fodder like Revival Frieza and Revival Goku. Not helping that Piccolo had timed buffs before he dies.

Arts boost only increases damage by 1.7%. Those 13k stat works like title boost stat meaning those 13k will be added after all the equips and Z abilities are factored in, thus not giving a massive increase. Hopefully players can stop saying that arts boosting will make a 2star character into 5 star because that’s just straight up false.
And yet we roll for 1% increases in equipment lol...

what's your source for this? Not denying or anything, it just seems more believable for the arts boost to work with Z abilities and equips, since the boost shows on the character stats screen, rather than it working like title boosts.
9:40 goresh gets a second rush (after the first one was SUCCESSFUL btw) in 20 counts...
First rush on jiren finishes at 111 counts (9:48) second rush on piccolo launches at 90 counts...

If I had a coin for each time Goresh had to defend a underrated GRN revive and run them every chance he gets...I would have two coins, which isn't a lot but this unoriginal meme does a good job at stating how niche things can happen more frequently than they should.

I think running Zamasu instead of Cell is a better variant since then you have 3 units that can’t be rushed (2 endurance, 1 Rev), and you have decent protection from red units as well. One of the best teams in the game imo.

That setup is too depended on Buu carrying the offense. You also want a Red more than a Blue rn because of Buu, Jiren, and the Gammas.

I think the arts boost really helps for me who doesn't have the highest starred units. The 13000 really helps

Max arts boost is basically 2 stars worth of stats buff, it’s definitely very good especially for low star units
Artes Boost os relevant for PvP? I ask this because, from what I can read on the game, it says it doesnt apply for PVPs or Tornament of Power

my take on the arts boost is it gives enough stat's that it's like getting at least 2 stars extra on the unit so if you say have a 2 star LF unit (maybe pitied) then a full arts boost will essentially act like you got them to 5 or 7 star
Gonna let you down a bit, they apparently (someone else did the math) increase average damage output by 1-5%. So I would say 1 extra star
Since those art boosts numbers are added after equipments and abilities are factored in

On regen he looks decent but on movies he’s just mediocre. He should have been a lot better when compared to the standards of other LF’s this celebration. Piccolo’s defensive neutral is so useless and GoFrieza going type neutral makes it hard for him to blue card frieza. Honestly on regen, his saving grace is kid Buu and cell, they’re a stronger core than movies
His LF is so janky looking. The transition from the stretchy arm to the Special Beam Cannon just looks like an lag skip, so seemless motions, goes from hand wide open and off centered to immediately hand on forehead charging.
Having only max boosted UGB and goku/frieza, it def makes a diff when combined with good equips, worth it if unit has longevity, piccolo def an amazing option hopefully the new ultra is worth it.
I'm loving this anniversary, I do wish I could see more of orange piccolo in my fights though

I max arts boosted Gofreeza and Jiren. Best choice ever.
Tip: if you don’t have enough resources the first part of the upgrade is the most valuable. For 30 of the 99 you get 6000 of the total 13000.

I summoned for orange piccolo and tried really hard to convince myself he was good. Ran him ok kid buu Jiren set up with zenki to piccolo and buu, and he was easily the weakest link. He one got shotted by frieza side of Goku/frieza… I went back to 17/kbuu/Jiren set up. Piccolo is sadly very underwhelming for me…
Orange Piccalo is the definiton of an undrpowered lf. I would have been happy if he was in contention for the top 5. I would say he needs a buff more than gofrieza.

Theyre lights out after the buff but before the buff they were just a good unit, nothing too crazy which piccolo is certainly better than. He certainly couldve been a bit better like maybe multiple unique gauge refills but hes still very good.

I consider him poorly designed because they knew of UGB and the mega buff they decided to give G/F and still didn’t give him more tools to sustain himself like vanish restore on his second main or on his counter green, cover null on main pre revive, his gauge should continue to disrupt like the card destruction, ki reduction and heal kinda like Ultra Broly instead of being a one time thing.
I been so pissed that one match you did a RR, then 15 counts later you got another RR and he didn’t even do 1 yet lmao

He’s already underrated but idg how it’s a purple meta. We have 3 insanely good yellows rn the only purple that’s thriving is goFrieza and that’s only because they go blue and the only broken green unit is rose who isn’t the most common

Piccolo did well in that full Uni Reps match, that was the ONLY match it felt like he had any kind of impact in. So better than the full Zenkai buff video, but still seems very underwhelming. Most of the matches in this video didnt even have double purples so thats no excuse

am I the only one wondering why Piccolo’s unique gauge is filled halfway by default? Like unless Ultra VB lowers enemy unique gauge (foreshadowing) there is really no reason for it to not just require 5 hits like Trunks

No it gives stat boosts for each arts boost(13k at 99 AB) so there is somewhat of a good reason
