What did rand say that was not factually true? Putin has said he wants to bring back the old Soviet union. He should’ve also said under Obama Biden and Clinton Putin took Crimea Georgia and Ukraine. Under Trump crickets. Peace through strength works. Democrats are weak and Putin sees that every time

@@babblo1389, going back to the 8th century Georgia consisted of two kingdoms up to 1008. It was unified into one realm until the middle of the 15th century but internal upheavals caused the creation of three kingdoms until it was conquered by the Russian Empire in 1801. It was an Orthodox Christian state like Russia and frequently sought help from Russia against Islam Iran and Turkey. Following the Russian revolution it became an independent state but was conquered by the Red Army in 1921. It became an independent state again in 1991 after the collapse of the Soviet Union. If Russia thinks it’s entitled to Georgia then Poland and Sweden are entitled to parts of Russia based on their empires of the 17th and 18th centuries.

      Peace be unto you…
Rand Paul made excellent points on this topic and there is more to the story...
While sharing information & trying to find ways around the Restrictions of Free Speech by Social Media Platforms; these factual and historical aspects about current events does not mean that I support one side over the other, yet, the truth is important to me…
Western nations are providing a type of Propagandistic Rhetoric inciting people in the world to support Foreign Policy agendas for an international trade war and blocking media that provides any information that negates their propaganda, although the other side is showing a factual, Investigative Journalism…
Putting fear into the people with food and oil/natural gas scarcity and increase of prices and stock market influences and inflated prices in everything that is connected with this incident like gold, oil, natural gas, grains, fertilizer ingredients, uranium etc; another nuclear arms race and international weaponry trading has become more transparent…
Electricity plants run on oil and would need to use dirty, polluting coal instead, which there are not many nuclear electric facilities nor those powered by water sources and hardly enough green energy production nor enough financial funding for these types of infrastructural developments and especially since Western nations prefer to spend more money on weaponry than what is good for the world...
Western nations imposed severe Sanctions against the Russian Government and private entities that have negatively affected the world, already suffering since the 2020 world's economies shut down and reduced exports and imports…
We are paying more for fuel in our cars and heating, gas for heating and cooking, and prices of grain has increased while supplies have been reduced, which will become worse in the next few months, as well as, issues with farming worldwide since the main ingredients used for fertilizers comes from Russia, which will increase the prices and reduce supplies…
With knowledge and research it is easy to learn about natural gas and oil fields and coal mines that exist in the Eastern and Northeastern areas of Ukraine…
The Russian Government's warfare tactics and the regions intended have been to control the areas with gas/oil/coal deposits…
Yet, also to protect the Russian population who have been tortured and abused by the Ukranian Government for many years...
Pertaining to the gas deposits in Ukraine, where detailed information is being blocked by CZcams's algorithmic process; which is a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc/Google/CZcams corporate conglomerate that have contracts with the American Government…
When the American Government uses this kind of military support and force it has always been in countries with oil and natural gas and gold, otherwise, the American Government does not get much involved…
The American Government has been threatening the Eastern region for decades with its growing presence of approximately 800 bases in various countries, as well as, 336 biological research labs and diseases that afflict the communities surrounding those laboratories...
The American Navy has been increasingly threatening the Eastern region for some years now by funding terrorist (rebel) groups under the guise of the democratic human rights programs of the American State Department and American warships have increased in the region and it is preparing to block trade routes, etc…
It would have been in the best interests of NATO and the EU to keep Ukraine neutral, but their continued expansion is a National Security risk to the Russian Government...
The Georgian Government has become a NATO ally and there is an American military base in Akhalkalaki and Vaziani; close presence to Syria and Russia, as well as, there are several American Government biological research labs in Georgia...
There are several or more American military bases and Government biological research labs spread all over Central Asia that are a threat to the Russian Government...
How many Russian Government military bases are in Canada, Mexico, South America, the Caribbean, etc?
It's not only the Russian Government that would benefit from this action they have taken; the American Government and the Elitists, Capitalists, etc are benefitting more than anyone in the world from this Ukraine-Russia conflict...
The agenda was never to capture Kiev, but to spread out Ukrainian forces while the agenda to take the south and eastern parts of Ukraine was made easier to achieve, which we already have seen as the success of that original agenda...
I do understand that the Russian Government is an Authoritarian type of Autocracy having Imperialist interests, yet, the American Imperialist Capitalism Regime is stronger than ever & their Authoritarian Totalitarianism is quite evident…
Here in America our taxes pay for the politicians' salaries and high lifestyles and the corporations are run by the Oligarchs, who receive massive tax subsidies which the regular taxpayer ends up paying for...
High inflation in America is caused by the American Oligarchy Capitalists and the sanctions that the American Government imposes on nations that provide the world's resources, which the American Oligarchy influences to increase/decrease stocks, bonds, funds, etc in the market...
There is not much difference between the Imperialistic, Capitalism Regimes of America and Russia, yet, the American Government is the only nation with 800 military bases and 336 biological research labs around the world and many of them are surrounding Russia and China, which threatens their national security...
Oligarchs run the nation's industries and GDP for any nation, which the corporations and companies support the politicians and the president, prime minister, etc and wars are supported through what Americans call the "Military Industrial Complex"...
Yet, the American and British Governments work together to subjugate the world into its fake democracy and human rights programs that provide this illusion to uninformed and under-educated people…
Our Government easily provides money for war, yet, provides hardly any money for infrastructural development projects desperately needed in our own country and is currently selling our strategic oil reserves that helps our personal economic situation of providing lower gas prices and how long will that last, until we have no more oil left in our emergency oil reserves?
Middle America hardly has Internet or even 3G and transportation services are below 30% and there are hardly any economical opportunities and there are problems with sewage systems being available and electricity is not easily provided to all the population...
Why is our government providing money to a country that has nothing to do with our national interests?
Not a NATO affiliate nor a member of the EU...
This Russia-Ukraine conflict has nothing to do with Americans and does not benefit us at all and has only caused problems for the world and our own American people and anyone living in America...
      There are no conspiracy theories...
Historical and factual information shared to inform the unknowing, yet, videos and articles are being blocked by CZcams's algorithmic process from being shared with any personal commentary…
      To be continued…

The USSR was a union of different socialist republics that included the Ukrainian Socialist Republic (SR), Belarus SR, Latvian SR, Lithuanian SR, Estonian SR, etc including the Georgian SR.
The main member of the USSR was of course the Russian Federation.
Not all of the members joined without force as both Georgia and also Ukraine fought against the Bolsheviks (the USR didn't want to be full communist but rather just socialist for example and was invaded twice by the Bolsheviks).
This is also why the baltic states (Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia) joining NATO was crossing the line for Putin.
Lastly, sure Russia has a "reason" to invade Ukraine, but its a stupid reason based on old and obsolete imperialist views combined with a declining economy looking to "rejuvenate" and "re-masculinize" itself through military adventurism.

Let me remind you all, especially Senator Rand Paul, that Georgia was an independent state long before 1991. In fact, Georgia was captured and occupied by Soviet Russia on February 25, 1921, 3 years after Georgia became independent from the Russian Empire, specifically, on May 26, 1918. Georgia was forcibly incorporated into the USSR in 1922, and finally we regained our sovereignty and became independent again from the Russian Soviet Empire on April 9, 1991. Therefore, any talks by Senator Rand Paul about countries like Georgia and Ukraine, that they were once part of the Soviet Union ("part of Russia" as he stupidly let it slip!!!) and, therefore, Russia may have “justified” or “reasonable” territorial ambitions towards our countries, is extremely outrageous and show Rand Paul's incompetence in international politics. I would advise him to continue "fighting" with Dr. Anthony Fauci and keep his nose out of the discussion of the current war in Ukraine, as well as the war in Georgia that took place in 2008.

@Johnny Mill differently than Ukraine, they were not democracies, and many of them did dirty things to deserve an invasion. Not saying that all the US invasions were right (see Iraq), but at least you can change a government in the US. In Russia you can't, and this makes the US morally superior. This in itself would be already sufficient to terminate any discussion but today I'm feeling generous and I'll bestow you with further enlightened considerations from which you can learn something.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine: Ukraine is a democracy, and Russia's attack, i.e., the attack of a dictatorship, is absolutely unjustified. If I were NATO I'd just drop 2000 atomic bombs over Russia. Indeed, it is not admissible to let a delusional psychopath like Putin go completely unchecked. This psycho clown must be dealt with swiftly and as soon as possible.
We, the West, are morally superior to Russia and we'd be absolutely justified to completely destroy the corrupt totalitarian dictatorship that this country represents.

Think about when Russia wanted to add weapons pointing to the USA from Cuba. Would the USA have the right to defend itself and attack Cuba even if it’s a sovereign nation? What the hell? As a Georgian I feel insulted. There were 17 other countries in soviet union, should we watch Russia rebuild Soviet Union by attacking all of them?? This is appalling from a congressman. We lost a lot of people fighting for our independence for the past 200 years, starting from Tzarist Russia, even before USSSR, never stopped and settled of been someone else’s backyard and after all the wars we fought, he is telling us reasons why they attack? Shame on you for leaning towards power and not truth and justice!

He literally says the invasion IS NOT JUSTIFIED.
According to Paul's logic, the man claims he has a reason to force her back, and that reason is not justification for forcing her back.

His point of view is that he denounced Putin and the invasion.
Hopefully that's the same side you're on.
Rand also wants to discuss the reasons Putin gives for the invasion and whether we could have handled him better before he decided to invade.
      Because...
Putin seems to be getting closer to nuclear retaliation over the crossing of his red lines, REGARDLESS of whether you or I or Rand thinks the reasons are valid. Rand said he doesn't think the reasons are valid.

The French, Spanish and Russians also have a stake with parts on the US. That Rand is such a caution.

Somehow I think he'd have a problem with the UK attacking the US on the premise that the US was apart of the British Empire.
    Just a hunch.
