    Love your art! First off a 3 year old could NOT do what you do. This is beautiful. When I get negative comments I usually thank them for their input and move on. That way I’ve acknowledged them but don’t feel like I have to defend myself. YES! This is our artistic journey and we don’t need to be validated by anyone. Keep doing what you do!!!!

    I wonder how you became so wise. There is nothing wrong with well-meant criticism. I absolutely agree with your three points regarding criticism. If it comes from a positive point of view, it’s worth considering. It’s easy to see if a person is being mean OR being truthful. Sometimes the truth is hard to take, but I would always prefer truth. If everyone says/writes only positive, uncritical comments, how would we learn? Now that I am old, I really wonder what people thought of me. I’ll never know. I’ll never know. Anita, your drawing is beautiful. It makes me wonder what I’m seeing. I saw corn on the cob. I saw highway traffic and street signs. I saw seeds and beans. It felt happy. Thanks!

      Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful message. I appreciate your feedback and agree with your sentiments about well-meant criticism. As you mentioned, criticism that comes from a positive perspective can be beneficial and help us learn and grow.Truth can be difficult to hear, but it is ultimately more valuable than sugar-coated praise. It's important to be able to recognize when someone is being mean or truthful in their criticism, and to take the latter to heart.I'm glad that my drawing resonated with you and that it brought you a feeling of happiness. It's always interesting to hear how different people interpret art in their own unique way. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me.As for what others may have thought of you in the past, I think it's natural to wonder, but ultimately what matters most is how we see ourselves and the actions we take to improve ourselves every day. And I don’t think I’m wise ))) I like to listen to psychological podcasts or motivational CZcams videos while I’m drawing to help me deal with my demons. And I guess it just sets in my mind (firing and wiring neurones).Thank you again for your kind words and for taking the time to reach out to me.

    Constructive criticism is helpful at times this is true. Cruel criticism is as you say, the person is projecting personal misery. I have lived by a set of rules, and one is that misery needs company. Don’t be swayed by someone else’s misery, you don’t need to join them. Art is very personal, and only we know our feelings as we do intuitive art. It is so individual. We are not trying to be Picasso we’re just trying to be us and express ourselves. Thank You for this video. Like I say you could be a motivational speaker. You are heading in the right direction. Love your videos and your art, and the more I listen to you I love you to

      @anitawinterz  Před rokem +1

      Thank you for your message! I completely agree with you that constructive criticism can be helpful, but cruel criticism is not productive and often comes from the person's own personal issues. It's important to remember that we should not be swayed by someone else's negativity, and instead focus on expressing ourselves through our art in a way that feels authentic to us.I appreciate your kind words about my videos and art, and I'm glad that they have resonated with you. It means a lot to hear that my message is being received positively, and I will continue to strive to be a source of inspiration and motivation for others. Thank you for your support!

      Anita you are the only person that I have found on utube that speaks about things like this and shows how intuitive art can help ,like almost a meditative and relaxing art form. You have a soothing voice and it is relaxing to watch your videos while you speak about important life things. This is pretty original, I hope you keep going.

    I've watched almost all of your videos now, but haven't commented yet. I think your art is just brilliant--I love it so much. I also create abstract/intuitive art from time to time, but definitely not as a regular practice like you do or with such a strong sense of personal style. You've inspired me to keep going and make this kind of art more often, because I love it. I think your channel is going to be big someday; just keep going and making the same amazing art. Of course maybe that's not why you're here, but I just have that feeling. Big fan here! ❤

    My rule is to only give objective, constructive, critiques, and only if an artist ASKS for opinions. Unsolicited and personal insults are not okay.
    I think your paintings are lovely,. To say something looks like a child's doodle is not necessarily a bad thing; children often are naturally good at intuitive drawing.

    • @anitawinterz
      @anitawinterz  Před rokem +1

      Thank you so much for your kind feedback! It seems like you have a clear and respectful rule in place for giving critiques to artists. Providing objective and constructive feedback can be helpful for artists looking to improve their craft!Unsolicited personal insults are never appropriate, and can be hurtful to anyone. As for the comment about the paintings looking like a child's doodle, it is true that children often have a natural talent for intuitive drawing, and this can be seen as a compliment, but I don’t think this is what people usually mean, as they don’t evaluate it further. However, it is important to remember that every artist has their own style and technique, and what may look like a child's drawing to one person may be a deliberate artistic choice by the artist like me 😅

    @sibelxo7228 Před rokem +3

    Anita your art is amazing and beautiful 💛 ... i really wish someone would tell me "is it a child doing these doodles?" 😂 because kids make the most beautiful and expresive art works, they are not afraid to express themselves with a thousand colors and mark making, and I would love to be like them lol Keep going! 🙌🙏

    • @anitawinterz
      @anitawinterz  Před rokem +1

      Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad that you enjoy my art! I totally agree that children can create some of the most beautiful and expressive artwork because they are unencumbered by self-consciousness and fear of judgment. Although I don’t think this is exactly what people mean when leaving me such a comment))) However, it's never too late to tap into that childlike creativity and let go of inhibitions. So, keep exploring and expressing yourself through art, and I'm sure you'll create some amazing pieces too!

    I’d love to know how your whites are so white. Even after I dry my page and then use white ,my whites don’t look that white. What could I be doing wrong?

    • @anitawinterz
      @anitawinterz  Před rokem

      Im using POSCA white bullet nib marker. What are you using? If you are using it over watercolours or ink - yeah it might come through. To achieve the “white look” I either apply a few layers of white or (!) I use black POSCA marker first and white over it. It works perfectly. You can check out the affiliate links for the pens I’m using in description of my videos ❤️
