Why I like this one better: “up here in the cold thin air, I finally can breathe. I know a left a life behind, but I’m too relieved to grieve!” I think this line tells Elsa’s story so much more than the whole song of let it go and it’s so relatable. She’s just so happy to finally be free she doesn’t see the consequences of her actions yet.

Okay everyone, I've been seeing some rude and / or insulting comments about Demi on this video and I would like to clear up some things.
First of all, this song is a more 'pop' version of Idina's. Demi's voice is very bright and clear and yes, ofcourse they added audio effects but it's not autune. People are saying she can't sing, but they shouldn't judge on just one video. Her voice is amazing so please don't assume things that aren't even true. Disney let Demi sing this song and they told her how to do it. Her voice sounds great in my opinion and she is an amazing singer. I don't get why people are commenting so many rude things.

Coming from an audio producer, I'm gonna clear some things up for you guys. 1) There is pitch correction done on this song. As on every signed professional recorded vocalist. Even if you have an incredible vocalist, whether it's slight or a good amount, pitch correction is done. 2) Autotune is a brand. They sell one of the most popular pitch correction plugins (effects) so people automatically assume it's Autotune.
they are jealous that Demi Lovato's as good as Idina Menzel. i really like this pop version.
i am a guy and since this version has fewer high pitch parts i tend to sing this more than Menzel's version.

You can have an opinion on who's voice is better, and my opinion is Demi. But you can't deny that when Demi hits those high notes at the end, its just overwhelmingly powerful. much more so than the original
I'd have to disagree. Idina is an experienced Broadway performer, and it shows in the original rendition of "Let It Go." She doesn't just sing her songs; she acts them. It's hard to emotionally compete with that.
Idina's has so much more emotion to it.
After taking more listens and seeing the movie, I have to say I love both versions equally and I do feel Idina's emotion.

yes but Broadway is completely different to film. She'd be fantastic on Broadway certainly; but she doesn't really have a 'recording studio' voice, which would have better suited the film.

The Movie version has loads of emotion about the characters past.
Demi's has more rhyme and I prefer to sing it to myself to the movie
I also love how (in the film), its not the Guy-Girl which saves the character from freezing, but the relationship between the 2 sisters instead

I almost prefer this version to the original. They're both brilliant, but I just prefer the way the lyrics have been changed in this version. It adds more meaning for me.

@abc.animal514 i think i like it better as i heard that demi lovato sang it in her way in themes she has been dealing in life. i like idina menzel as a singer heard a bunch of cover songs and her own songs. she's from broadway yes and i think she can belt out the best than any other musicals i have seen. how her throat doesn't hurt constantly idk

I will always love Idina as Elsa and i think her singing voice fits Elsa especially in the 2 Frozen movie.
But i perfer Demi's version of Let It Go. She fits Elsa's age, her voice is powerfull, beautiful, soft and really emotional too. Perfect for a Snow Queen. Also i perfer the Pop version's lyrics more.
I really love Elsa she's so kind, brave, shy, caring, cool, powerfull, cute, confident, fun and never gives up. Her powers are really pretty and she's the sweetest big sister you can have.

tbh i think each version really served each others purpose and contexts extremely well. indina has musical theatre experience and her voice works really well in the context of a movie, while demi's vocals are more 'pop-y,' basically i just really like both versions for different reasons lol
