So does Catan. I only made this up. Catan: Ancient Egypt, a cursed board game which releases Egyptian creatures & hazards after every roll dice just like Jumanji & also like Zathura when a card 💳 also pops out. It takes four players to play. The first player to reach the pyramid in the middle wins. Any cheating & the game makes u suffer physical pain in ur body e.g. headache, backache, toothache, etc for one hour. There r also turns in which u move forward or back several spaces pending on the card. This is only an element of my imagination. Jumanji is jungle-based. Zathura us Space-based. I just thought there could've been a third theme like I've already suggested, Catan is Egypt-based. So what do u think?
@@paulmacartney8266 not bad! In fact, I have my own idea:
Anima, a board game that has features of designs and characters from these twelve anime: redo of healer, cross ange, reborn as a vending machine now I wonder the dungeon, reincarnated as a sword, chronicles of an aristocrat reborn in another world, in another world with my smartphone, dragon crisis, frame arms girls, I’m quitting heroing, saving 80,000 gold in another world for my retirement, reborn to master the blade, and that time I got reincarnated as a slime. The tokens are designed to resemble stick figure. You roll the dice to make the tokens move on their own. Like jumanji, anima sets up the game pieces on it’s own and they remain stuck until the game ends. The player who reaches checkered spot in the middle wins. Once players make a move, the screen at the bottom displays a message that can transform reality into anime background or unleash characters from the ten anime, who will either aid you or be a nuisance depending on whether they are protagonists or antagonists. Unlike jumanji, anima doesn’t suck people into its dimension. Anima dislikes cheaters and will “anime-fy” them (turn them into an anime character) as punishment. Once the game is beaten, transformed reality and players return to normal and all released anime characters will turn to dust and will be sent back into the game in the form of a tornado, just like jumanji.
I love how much Danny cares for Walter despite being treated poorly.
Sorta like the phrase “I still love you!”
Sounds like me because I’m like that. I was with my ex.
Danny was really hoping that he could play with Walter. He wanted a brother to play with.
so what's the point in the astronaut suit if u can survive without it..
There's probably some sort of air bubble around the house that's keeping them save (By the game's standards it would be unfair if the house and surrounding area could not survive the vacuum of space). I'm sure if someone got far out enough, they would suffocate or something. On a second note, it's been said that an actual astronaut can survive 15 seconds without a spacesuit, so take that into consideration if they were out of the air pocket.
It's not like authentic science. They're in a game set with some aspects that aren't true for the players to have a chance of survival (like oxygen being in outer space).

Omg that was funny when he dropped the lamp
TRUE AAHHAHAHAH
“Don’t worry. I’ll get another lamp”
To anyone wondering if Danny cheated or not. He did, when Walter realises something is wrong with the board, Danny looks at him because he realises he got caught.
Also later on in the movie when Danny is going down the elevator to get the game from the Zorgons, he apologises to Walter for cheating.
We also see that Danny’s piece landed under the bridge on his previous turn when he spun the astronaut. And then in his next turn in this scene it mysteriously had moved ahead.
As to why the game didn’t punish Danny? I don’t know. Maybe it decided to only punish Walter because it wasn’t paying attention when Danny cheated but it was when Walter moved it back, so it thought he cheated when he moved Danny’s piece back.
Random Commenter the only reason why Walter was punished is because he cheated in front of others, so he was caught. Danny cheated while nobody was around, so he wasn't caught
Joseph Venegas Yeah I also thought that but I forgot to write it, thanks for adding
But how did he move the piece if it can't move unless it's his turn
I think the card he go may have been for Danny and not walter. And that since Danny cheated at the end of his turn. It didnt apply to him maybe🤷♂️
There’s also the belief that maybe the game was messing with them. Right after this clip ends, when Danny spins, the rocket ship moves right back to where it was before Walter forced it back.
People are calling jumanji a rip off but the movies are alike but different in it's own way
AJ The RPG gamer Well neither of these movies are rip offs or anything. They are both based off of books created by Chris Van Allsburg. And people shouldn't even be calling Jumanji a rip off, that movie was made first before Zathura. Jumanji became a movie in 1995 while Zathura was released in 2005, 10 years later.
I always thought Zathura was a spin off.
It isn't really a rip off because it's a spinoff of Jumanji. It was made by the same people.
Plus they're both created by the same guy.
You mean people are calling Zathura a ripoff because Jimjanji came out in the 90s before Zathura. Zathura came out in the 2000s and was inspired by Jimanji.
I thought that scene was weird. I thought their only priority was for one of them to win as quickly as possible so they can go home. Why did Walter all of the sudden care that Danny was cheating?
Sheldon Cooper It’s a brother thing, Me and my bro scream like this 24/7.
Red Sibling rivalry is one hell of thing. I may not have had a brother, but my father is the middle child of three brothers and one sister (so he's had his fair share of disputes with them). Me on the other hand, I have a sister who is quite literally the opposite of me so we butted heads a lot when we were younger.
How the hell are they breathing if there's no oxygen in space and no oxygen in the house

“I’ll save you”
Me: “he’s so cute!” 😍😍😍
“He’s the one who cheated.”
Zathura: *And I just started ejecting*
One thing that bugged me about this scene is there's never a just explanation as to how the hell the piece moved. You'd think that would've come up at some point.
It did, later on in the movie when Danny is going down the elevator to get the game, he apologises to Walter for cheating.
We also see that Danny’s piece landed under the bridge on his previous turn when he spun the astronaut. And then in his next turn in this scene it mysteriously had moved ahead.
As to why the game didn’t punish Danny? I don’t know. Maybe it decided to only punish Walter because it wasn’t paying attention when Danny cheated but it was when Walter moved it back, so it thought he cheated by moving Danny’s piece back.
Would've thought the ejection card would've come out as soon as Danny cheated.
@@SJMJ91 i think it was because it wasn't Danny's turn anymore, therefore the game pays a attention to Walter during his turn
@@417Owsy It also said "caught cheating" which implies that witnesses needed to be present. So if he never got caught cheating is indeed allowed as long as you where not caught.

GEEZ IT WON'T STOP PLEASE!!! LOL!!
What he said.
If Danny said he was sorry that's because he did cheat
My theory on the whole cheating thing,
I think it was from Walter and Astronaut flashing the fleet admiral cards (move forward 4 spaces) before Walter spun, making Danny move 8 spaces forward since his turn wasn't over yet. Hence Walter moving him back 8 spaces.
And the whole Danny apologizing about "cheating" was just to make Walter feel better about the whole incident, not that he actually cheated and Walter got punished.
Or it was just the game playing tricks on them, it could summon meteor showers, killer robots, Zorgons, etc., why couldn't it move the piece automatically to provoke the brothers into a flame war?
Yeah I’m thinking Zathura moved Danny’s piece by itself and Danny just didn’t remember where he was because a lot happened between turns. You can hear the gears in the game breaking and being shifted in a way they’re not supposed to when Walter moves the piece manually so if Danny did move the piece Walter and Astronaut Guy would’ve heard him doing it
There's one mentioned before so: the game punished Danny by pushing Walter out, because Walter is Danny brother and without Walter, Danny cant play the game anymore
Danny was so cute oml 😂💗
This movie was my favorite as a kid.
I just realized why Danny cheated. He thought he could end the game without having to go through all that stuff
When my little sibling and I play UNO
The way I see it, Danny never cheated, otherwise he would have gotten ejected on his next turn like Walter did... and the fact that Walter wasn’t paying attention to the game and let his jealousy and pride cloud his judgement that he thought Danny was cheating...
At least that’s how I see it.
@@shekinahdadizon Probably Late, But I think he apologizes for cheating because he thought he did. He thinks that Walter was right and that he may have cheated on accident. That's why when it was Danny's turn again, he landed on the space that Walter thought Danny cheated and put in.
@@shekinahdadizon he can't cheat tho. The piece won't move if it's not your turn
He did cheat but not intentionally it was by mistake. I think the zorgons blowing everything up made the pieces move. Idk its never really stated but his piece was under the bridge
The card clearly says caught cheating.
Implying cheating is allowed as long as the game doesn’t notice.
Somehow maybe Danny cheated in a way the game didn’t catch.
No Danny did cheat cause before his piece was under the bridge and also he looked at Walter liked he got caught and he apologized to Walter for cheating when he was about to go to the basement to stop the zorgots so yeah Danny did cheat you idiot
Walter: "This is all your fault! If you hadn't pushed the button & started the game in the first place, we wouldn't be in this mess!"
They really know how to write kids' dialogue
The writers musta had kids of their own
I always thought that danny’s piece moved itself when the astronaut came in the game. Since he is Walter older, he must’ve been stuck in this game(similar to Allan Parish in Jumanji) for 15 years. At that point, he became part of the game, and there were no players to keep going, so the game reset in time. When he explained how he played the game with his brother before, Danny’s must’ve been where it was before Walter in this time moved it back. The game was resuming itself from when it was first played. Danny’s piece would’ve moved up to where it was based on the last game that was played. That’s why the game didn’t remove Danny. He never moved his piece. It did itself.
Fun fact: Jonah Bobo voice Austin from The Backyardigans
It confuses me because Danny did in fact cheat but didn’t get ejected when Walter did from moving the piece where it should be.
I think the game didn't ejected him because it wasn't his turn if it was his turn then the game would've ejected him
It was probably going to eject Danny in his next turn. But since Walter moved to Danny's piece back thus putting his in the front, the game probably recognized that as cheating and then forgot about Danny.
It said caught cheating meaning there were witnesses to when he did it unlike Danny
Danny acts like buzz lightyear and walter acts like woody

But Buzz _is_ a toy though
This is why cheaters never win

1:00 walter was not the imposter
Walter deserve that punishment
On the contrary, it's Danny who deserved the punishment. That's due to the fact that he really did cheat. The card from Danny's most recent turn at this point said, "Rescue Stranded Astronaut". His rocket ship piece was under the bridge at that point. Thus, Danny did cheat. The game was inaccurate to blame Walter for cheating.
Just when you didn't see Peeta Mellark complaining about cheating in The Hunger Games.

My sister fancies the astronaut 👨🚀😋 licky licky
Yet, it turns out the astronaut was Walter from the future.
Love this movie
0:26 [ Astronaut ] Please! It won't stop! Please?!
This Astronaut's story closely mimics that of Emperor Zurg (the future Buzz Lightyear) from the Lightyear movie:
Even the astronaut (future Walter) reached space with the help of the game as well. He and his brothers did not respect each other as heroes. Walter was angry about why Danny was so annoying all the time and when he possibly cheated too but somehow Walter still got away with it and he continued the game and got the wishing star card and wished his brother hadn't existed but not in the way that his brother had never even been born (then the game would never have been started and Walter would have thus perhaps created a time paradox in this way which would have therefore taken him back to Earth) but in such a way that his brother would just disappear into non-existence.
After that he was sorry and he couldn't continue the game and he was trapped in space and somehow he survived in space, the house probably drifted in space and Walter probably ended up in the Space Academy that was in the story of that game, almost like an alternative future imitating the future vision of the world in the 50s that young Walter wouldn't have recognized it himself, full of indescribable 50s sci-fi technology (i.e. the same as that robot was, it was a 50s sci-fi model) and after becoming 15 years older, having only eaten its food reserves (paste from a tube) at the space academy after completing astronaut training, after receiving the spacesuit, he realized that:
If we can use wormholes in sci-fi movies to move through time, why not the same in real life, whether it's going forward in time or going back, so he went through the time slot, that is, the wormhole when he arrived at that point in time, 15 years ago in the past to help his younger self and Danny get rid of the Zorgons and to correct his own mistake.
So, like Zurg-Buzz, the Astronaut broke time, and so what (just because of his presence) happened to young Walter never happened to the Astronaut. This moment in the movie was a new moment with never be lived. So they were able to change things.
So if the Astronaut could go back in time, he could stop his younger self from wishing Danny away, from continuing their bickering, so they could continue playing the game, progressing and thus making it home. And nothing like that happened.
And it worked out great. So this was a very similar event to the meeting between Buzz and his future self, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if this movie had served as an inspiration for that time travel and thus the birth of Emperor Zurg from the Lightyear movie.

Could you yell a little louder Danny? I think there’s a Zeta mothership a couple klicks away from your position that couldn’t hear you.

Shaggy: SCOOBY!!!
How did Danny cheat?
He moved the piece while nobody else was looking. But he did it after his turn was over, so he didn't get the "Caught Cheating" card. Walter moved the piece back while everyone _was_ looking, and by then it couldn't be verified whether or not Danny had cheated, so the game decided to punish Walter since his moving the piece happened on his turn and was seen by everyone. But Danny did cheat.
@@BTTFMovie Maybe Danny would've been ejected on his turn if Walter hadn't done it first.
@@BTTFMovie Ohhh so are u saying bro that all eyes was on Walter when he cheated therefore he was punished for it, or was it because Danny cheated after his turn and Walter moved the piece before Danny's turn again and ended up taking the flack?
Isa the Rebel I think it may be a bit of both. Because the card says “Caught Cheating,” and when Danny moves the piece, he wasn’t caught doing it. But on the other hand, if the card had been meant for Danny, ejecting Walter punishes him because losing Walter means he’d never be able to take another turn and Danny would be stuck in the game forever.

I still don’t know why Walter was punished for Danny cheating. Then again, the game really seemed to hate him: Wouldn’t let another him undo his mistake of wishing his brother away, sent that older version of him to pretty much haunt him and threw a killer robot at him.
