So hard to accept this. And only came across her videos today. ....was she in acoma after the stroke? They should have never taken off the life support.
@@pointonelectronics she was in a coma after she got sepsis. She was in a medically induced coma after the stroke (after her lung transplant).. People who have massive strokes get medically induced and don't normally come back from that. They put them into a coma to reduce the pressure to their brain from swelling. Had she survived she would have been a completely different person (dependant on others to live and do everyday things) basically a vegetable. Her mother said it was in her advance directive that she didn't want to live like that. They honored Claires wishea and removed her from life support. She never woke up after surgery so she went peacefully..

I'm 46 and have lived in constant chronic pain for the past 13 years and whenever I needed a pick-me-up I would watch one of Claire's videos and I'm actually crying because I'm heartbroken she's gone after a successful lung transplant but I'm so glad that she donated her organs. I hope that if anything, this will inspire others to become organ donors and it's not always as easy as ticking the box on your driver's license. I'm in a state where I actually had to send in a special form I printed off of our state's website and had to have witnesses sign it. So please make sure you're doing everything you can do help others once you're gone. And I hope that Claire's family is surrounded by love in in this truly sad moment.

I'm lucky that way. I've only lived in stated where signing up as an organ donor was easy. I've always volunteered my organs, in spite of the savage personal attacks from both sides of my family. Luckily, I didn't die before age 18, so my organ can go where they're needed, if anyone still wants them.

I started yelling no no no as I clicked on the video... despite following her for such a long time it felt like she was never going to die... at least not this sudden, it seems like just yesterday she was thanking us and now she is truly gone, I send her prayers to the family and I know that despite what little time she had she made the biggest impact

The thing with Claire is, despite knowing her time on this earth was more temporary than most, she strived. She was more comfortable in her skin and proud than most of us with another 60 years on our belt will ever be. I could not begin to imagine the depth of living with her illness, or any other kind for that matter. But I would like to thank her for standing up in stride, and living her life to the fullest, inspiring us all to believe in whatever it is we stand for. Claire you are always in my thought. Claire Wineland is indeed a brave, curious, and a strong human being. I was on my way to work and man, died at a very young age of 23 after battling a serious disease after doctors trying to save her life from a lung transplant she has during birth. But she was a true inspiration and my condolences goes to the Wineland family on this sad loss. I’ll do whatever I can donating in regards to cancer research and other charities.

It's been awhile. Just a brief post to let everyone know that she's still on many of our minds, and STILL having a positive impact.
Personally, her empathy, bravery and tenacity were life changing. In the past 6 years, I've seen nearly every sunset, literally stop and smell the roses, and place far more value on helping others than material things.
I'm 49 now, and I still haven't lived half the life, or loved it half as well, as Claire. She's my hero. No s***.
We'll miss you so much, Claire. Thank you so much for everything. Sending all of our love and strength to your family ♡

She was so thankful for the money that people donated and she was so excited that she had a chance to get rid of cystic fibrosis. I love her and she will remembered. She was loving and funny and inspirational and caring and just amazing.😭😕
Im so sad i just cant believe shes gone how she handle this disease like a warrior kept fighting even at her worst you will be miss claire we lost one amazing woman with such a way to describe life
