Got this keyboard and it's probably the best fastest keyboard that i'm first using, the app is easy to use even though it has some features that are just not really needed but and the main apex pro mini is easy to configure and the quality of the build and sounds is really good. 10/10
This looks fine and your new headset too, but you need to adjust your prices, they are ridicoulessly high. Also, why is it that everything has to be "portable" now a days? nobody freakin games seriously "on-the-go". It's pointless.
theres a wired mini dont worry lol
I think u can play with wire for the wireless, so don't hate that wifi .. good to have.... At least for mices and headsets
Then don’t buy them there not for the cheep gamers
@@Jugerman2747zombies Did you just feel cool writing that? you are clearly a bot and it has nothing to do with not having money. It's simply about what things are worth and not worth.
Do try to act more mature in future responses to people, so you don't come off as such a huge loser.
@@Jugerman2747zombies uhhh, what a punch! 👊 😂
Wish it was 75%. Dedicated arrow and function keys are still important to me for gaming.
I imagine that Steelseries will soon offer that form factor, or at least %65 due to their large popularity.
Isn’t that just the Apex Pro TKL
@@EpicRobloxianReal The Pro TKL isn't wireless. This is.
0:01 What's the name of the 1800 keyboard?(RED ESC)
Will you make a apex pro tkl with the omnipoint 2.0
Looks great, but I prefer full size keyboards with a dedicated volume wheel and num pad. I'd love it if you guys made the full-sized Apex Pro in a wireless version. I'd definitely buy it.
same i have the apex 5 rn so it would be a upgrade but not a change
Wot, i mean u do u, but theres legit volume buttons if u press the function or steelseries key
@@dxlta3 I prefer a dedicated volume wheel, arrow keys, and a number pad. I have plenty of desk space and I need the ease of accessing various functions with a full size keyboard over unnecessarily saving space with a compact keyboard. It's less convenient for me having to press two keys at once to do the same function that I currently have with one keystroke, and I use the num pad all the time because it’s much faster for typing long digits.
@@Dagger_323 there is already a full sized Apex pro btw lol
@@dxlta3 If you'd read my initial comment thoroughly you'd notice that I clearly said _wireless._ The current full-sized Apex Pro is wired, not wireless.
Can you provide the 75% or 65% version pls!!!! The 60% version lost a lot of function keys is quite unconvenient.
Still no rapid trigger!?
Such a simple and effective name. No wire. Compact. Sleek design. I give it a 10/10 and I haven't even bought it
just got a critical firmware update
now the z key cant be selected to be illuminated ... lol
so its unlit on an rgb keyboard
or prism dosnt work when you pess the steelseries button half the keys turn orange ????
but this is uneditable ... lol
The wooting keyboard is faster xd
yeah
True
Fr
Ye
Not anymore since they just released rapid trigger
Can you swap out the keycaps for the prism keys? just bought my apex pro mini yesterday and I'd like to order some new keycaps for when it arrives, all I can find on the website is questions about swapping out the keycaps on the full size board
Yes, you probably can
I have a question because when I try to block windows so that I don't click it during the game, I can't block it when I click the function key, the buttons that have additional functions light up and it's the same with e.g. F1
whats the dongle extender for?
its very nice and pretty but the price is way too high and i just baught a other 60% keyboard with wirless function 2.4 ghz bluetooth etc for just 70
What keyboard bro?
@@eldmtrjs redragon k530 pro in white with red switches the pro is like 4 months on the markt i think and a better version as the non pro
It is about the fast switches bro , I mean like the reddragon keyboards have normal cherry MX or gateron switches or something like that ,and the omnipoints are way faster ,I mean that's the reason most people buy the apex pro
@@Henrik1505 idk fast switches arent that expensive when you only have a 60% board to fill
WHATABOUT THE LEKKER SWITCHES THEY HAVE 0.1
How are you trying to charge the same MSRP as the G915 TKL which is a better keyboard lol , TKL, Media Keys, Volume wheel and its currently on special for cheaper then this, smoking glue for the pricing on this keyboard
wooting 60 he has 0,1 mm
yessir
can this connect to the ps4
Will TKL layout be available with omnipoint 2.0?
No, the tkl keyboard have 4.0m
i hope someone responds but im using this keyboard and whenever i make the actuation higher that 0.6, when i type the keys become the function keys
Why is there no screen and scroll whell
I just don't understand why they discontinued the Merc. I'm still using the original (every day) since it was released. I replaced the usb cord 5 times and still it's the best keyboard I've ever used. Prices are insane on ebay. That should say something to SteelSeries. Windows 10 won't support it without a workaround, and they wont even update the driver. I have no need for the new stuff with gimmick lights.
Because it is a scrumy old keyboard
"might be the last keyboard I ever buy!" -me after buying every next keyboard (I own 11....)
I have about 40 keyboards and 6 numpads.
Do you have 60HE though?
Why tf is pheonix talking about the keyboard
why it costs as much as apex pro tkl?
Wooting 60he beat Steelseries 0.1 and rapid trigger. Time to step up Steelseries!
Where’s the oled screen?
I wait for it!
I just bought this and all the keys on the 4th row do not work
Steelseries why don't you bring out the apex pro mini in white?
Okay now liqer yhe pruve, make a hotswap tkl one with full optical :) or just make a got swap awx 7 wity, like led on da bottom of the switches and 5 pun itl probably sell very noice, anyway today i tested the ild apez pro, sounds and fewla amazing, definitely my next biard, uf you make it with thw new switches and keep the oled acrewn that is
tkl is the best form factor and it is truly the "last keyboard you will ever need' make this in the TKL and ill buy it
They do
@@placeholder3863 They don't make the TKL in a wireless version. This is wireless.
@@placeholder3863 not with the brand new switches moron
@@Dagger_323 why would someone get the wireless?
You're buying this for the speed, wireless will slow it down
@@placeholder3863 For the convenience of not having a cable? Lol the keyboard in this video is wireless for the same reason.
How to factory reset apex pro mini?
Can you guys make it in White?
I want a tkl not a mini if they created a tkl like apex pro tkl but with 2.0 switch I will buy it
How much is it? Would like to buy for my brother. Btw can i even buy it in finland yet?
i think it's 250 or something like that, if you want and a better keyboard though i would recommend the wooting 60he for 180. cheaper and faster. it also ships to finland
$240 is crazy, I like it and would love to pair with my Aerox 3 and Arctis Pro Wireless but that price needs to drop by $75-$100.
Also just ordered my first QCK, what happened to the 3.5 mm one?
$180 could be fair considering the switches, standard bottom row, and wireless.
$200 sounds better. That adjust you're calling for is way too cheap for what you get. Theres not many keyboards like this so you can't really compare it to anything besides the Wooting.
Going to go with the 60HE from Wooting, similar to this board but more customizable and better featurez
Hey don’t know if you will see this but right now it’s going for 140 on the website 👍
As a owner of this keyboard, i can say its the best keyboard i ever seen on my life
i just bought one!
Lmao bought my pro mini for damn near 200$ and when i go to the software the actuation doesn’t even work. Contacted support they didnt even help. ty steelseries
So where's the Apex Pro TKL Wireless version?
Very nice
sick
Wooting 60he...
Wait you showed someone using a numpad then said this keyboard without a numpad is suited to them? I'm confused.
Wooting 60he is faster.
Wooting One 60HE ;)
Now the gaming will be on top, ive waited enough for this. I used HyperX 60 and is enough for now. Time for this!
Even if its 200euros atm
Why though compared to wooting 60 HE? This steelseries kb lacks some software features
@@DepressedMusicEnjoyer because i own HYperX red Tkl and 60 and they got some issues too.
At macro keys HX 60 is more accurate than the TKL Version.
Razer mini huntsman was garbage also. I went to store and replaced with HX 60 and i am very satisfied. But as a gamer i love keyboards and mices. And until now, those expensive Steelseries made me happy. Also got Rival 3 and Aerox 3 wireless and i never had issues. So they are well made. Hope this keyboard will be ok. Never had one keyboard from this bramd cuz they are real expensive, but i told myself: " if a 60 or Keypad will appear, ill buy it no matter what"
@@svaeon but wooting 60 he is better than this and cheaper 😅
@@perpetual7940 idk if its better. Has some lag the HyperX 60, thats why i want to try Steelseries, cuz i own some mices and they dont have issues with software interference lag
@@svaeon I been looking forward for a new keyboard I currently have a razer mini and been wanting a new keyboard for some months but don’t know what to pick I was going for the apex pro tkl but I saw this and idk what go pick so could you give me any opinion
Release a white one then I’ll buy it.
oh ye boyy
I just bought the apex pro last month -_-
Wooting two he has 0.1mm actuation and rapid trigger lol
$250 for that wonder how much when the full size or the tkl comes out?!? Prefer tkl.
If you put a dedicated row of F keys on top, I would have considered it. Not many keyboards have it, and it would have stood out.
theres a function key, just hold it down and select the number u want and it will do what the function number would have, a lil annoying at times, but nice to keep the size down
@@dxlta3 I know 😃 just prefer the actual keys
Amusingly, Razer has already beat it with an 8khz TKL keyboard that is a quarter of the price for this
I mean that keyboard is not wireless like this one also they don’t have an adjustable switches also on the Razer the stabs suck this one have pretty good stabs for an gaming keyboard and the Razer switches are kind of mushy like cherry silent reds and the steelseries switches are much more smooth but 240 is way to much for a gaming keyboard
If you’re talking about the huntsman v2, I tried it and it was so bad that I returned and bought the apex pro back, losing 30$ in the process (I did get free prismcaps though)
@@Danstry but the only thing I like so much about that keyboard is the analog technology it is hard to learn and only a few games support it but the games that do I love it so much
Wooting beats both anyway
@@placeholder3863 wooting is bad build quality, no pro uses it
When is this coming to India though. 👀
The pricing on this is ridiculous, same price as the apex pro tkl and even more for the wireless for way less features. No one was using the entire 10 settings on the normal apex pro adding 27 more doesn't make a useful difference, you removed the screen and volume roller as well as the wrist wrest in replacement for the cheapest keycap puller known to man. This keyboard should be 150 for the wireless and 100 for the wired the pricing is atrocious, pretty disappointing and anyone justifying the purchase is out of their mind in my personal opinion.
poor
people have been asking for this for ages because they don't want the other stuff and really wanted a mini version, also its not just more actuation points. Its faster too with less latency.
@@evandyr368 yes but no one asked for a 240 dollar 60% keyboard. I think the 60% omnipoint design is great it's just priced so poorly for what it offers the other boards offer so much more value. You can get an origins 60 for less than a third of that and it's an amazing board.
@@carlosmr1722 and what keyboard do you have? I'd like to see you post a review when it releases if everyone is "poor" you are just underdeveloped and don't understand the concept of worth and value.
@@evandyr368 the facts are this; this board is overpriced for it's offering.
Also, stop talking in third person aka illeism (a sign of personality disorder)
@0:45 it's the last keyboard the guy bought bcuz he went broke after buying an expensive keeb that doesn't deliver the experience, also he went broke
I hate mini's with FN+directional... just too much stress to do all that FN stuff just to PageUp.
Introducing the world 10x higher price
Where Can I do This with csgo?
Hope you guys could make it cheaper, maybe releasing an Apex 7 Mini or something without the omnipoint switches. Might cut off some price
I was expecting the price to be lower cause it’s 60% but its too overpriced :(
apexpro 0.4mm〜3.6mm
apexpro mini 0.2mm〜3.8mm
It's expensive because it has a new key switch (OmniPoint 2.0).
@@_POPMAN_ but less keys, not aluminum, no wrist rest, no Oled display, only a .2mm difference? The fastest switch was 1mm and the Omni points brought out a .6mm difference which is a higher difference then what the new omnipoint 2.0 switches brought and what the lekker switches brought . Currently the lekker switches are the fastest but they’re only a .3mm faster than the regular switch and only .1mm faster than the new ones but even the wooting lekker cost less. I mean I get this keyboard is wireless but their are a lot of wireless keyboards with such a low price. And also what would the argument be for the mini to be as expensive as the TKL? Like on the tkl and full size you get a Oled display for software even on console you can use the software but on the mini you need a literal computer that probably some people don’t have. However I will say I’m glad we can change the actuation still without it.
@@venjustice6666 I didn't know there was a 0.1mm switch... Thank you for letting me know.
Wooting 60he fast
Dear consumers beware of purchasing Steelseries 2022 wireless keyboards and if you take a few moments to read this article, you will understand the theory that leads you to buy them and why you should avoid that at all costs so you don't find yourself in the same situation like me. Also, there is a message for Steelseries to take some notes for future untested releases launched in a hurry.
I recently purchased a keyboard from Steelseries, the Apex Pro Mini Wireless but I had to return it because I couldn't accept the software errors it came with, especially since the list price is much higher than other commercial keyboards on the market.
It's a shame because it's a well-balanced keyboard from a mechanical point of view, of the materials used, and it's a pleasure to use it for typing.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to test it on the entertainment side because of certain errors and I still regret that I couldn't reach a compromise to avoid the return.
I would like for them to solve the following issues from the software, which represent the reasons why I made the return:
- The battery, according to the software, lasts less than the specified time. The transition from 100% to 85% is done quickly, in less than an hour with the brightness kept at maximum, on the wireless function. It is not a factory defect or a software issue because I got a confirmation from 2 other people that tried this keyboard and stated that the battery fully depleted under 10h of usage. It's not designed to be used at maximum brightness!
PLEASE STEELSERIES, DO SPECIFY THE BATTERY CONDITIONS OF USAGE, AS THIS IS VERY MISLEADING!
- You cannot completely disable the "Escape" key light manually or through software while charging in wired mode so that it no longer flashes with a different color than the rest, green. Also, once it is fully charged, 100%, the key stays lit in the respective color (Green Lantern Mode). This is specified in the user manual, but it should be a choice for the consumer and should permit the option to disable it in the software. Below I have attached 2 official photos from Rtings.com with the keyboard at maximum and minimum brightness. It is a distracting feature and basically you cannot use it wired due to the intensity of the key that stays lit at maximum brightness. Don't think this feature will be removed since it's designed that way and nothing was done since it was released, a few months ago. Since the battery doesn't last that long (a lot less than 30h with max brightness) you will find yourself in need to often plug the cable. The battery charging indicator is really a troublesome feature.
It makes more sense for them to implement a 3 button press feature with the escape key included to indicate the battery level from F1 to F10 in 10% gradients without having to check the software and if they still want to keep the function of the blinking green color to include it there, but on press, to indicate that it's charging!

i.rtings.com/assets/products/GR7Ezkta/steelseries-apex-pro-mini-wireless/brightness-min-large.jpg
- Switching from idle to pairing on Bluetooth is not fast after entering the battery conservation mode, when the functions are closed.
- The color profiles for the lights do not remain set, if the connection with the dedicated software is lost. As long as the switch is made to another device where the software is not installed or supported, it will not allow them to be kept.
- To set the colors, the connection to the software is always necessary because only 5 light effects can be adjusted from the keyboard functions and it is not possible to select, for example, the color Orange or White (also recommended not to strain your eyes), reference colors associated with the Steelseries brand. Also, the effects cannot be set directly from the keyboard, present on previous models.
- For devices that come with IOS, the wake up function is not compatible, without the need to connect the USB-C receiver, for stability.
- Once one function on the key is replaced by another, from the software, the keyboard simply freezes and you have to switch it off and on.
Also, in the reviews made by the online promoters, for this model, these aspects were not discussed, mentioned, and i wish that the respective information was more transparent because, after all, we are the consumers. Everything they mentioned negatively was related to the high price, stating the obvious.
I would like Steelseries to do something about the user's choices in the software so that all settings can be saved on both Bluetooth / Wired / Wireless on a single profile and to be able to configure the effects and colors without depending entirely on the software.
In their defense, the company does make quality products, though i don’t think they proceeded in the right way with the wireless variant, especially on the marketing side since they weren’t that transparent nor tried to fix some of the mentioned issues, since it was released.
What's important is the action Steelseries should take after these constructive feedback. Also, I wish they offered a better support since I tried to contact them about this problems and got evasive responses.
If you are unsure about this keyboard, undecided to buy it and wondering if some mentioned features, software issues have been fixed, that information can be checked here techblog.steelseries.com/
UPDATE 1:
I bought another unit to test it more rigorously and after it was completely discharged it didn't want to charge overnight above 60%, it froze at that threshold! To fix this issue, I had to unplug and plug the wire! I want to mention that I had several keyboards from other manufacturers and so far I have not got my hands on any that had this many problems at once!
I ENCOURAGE YOU TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE WIRELESS VERSION! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL SINCE YOU WILL MOST LIKELY RETURN IT. ALSO, IF YOU FINALLY DECIDE TO GIVE IT A GO, DON'T THINK ABOUT TRYING YOUR LUCK WITH ANOTHER UNIT SINCE THEY ALL HAVE THESE PROBLEMS!
I'm "GLAD" that instead of focusing on fixing these issues for products already released in the market and taking into account what other consumers are saying, they did the exact opposite and rushed with the release of the TKL APEX PRO WIRELESS VERSION... If it will have the same problems, it will simply cause you to lose all trust and hope in the company.
HAVING AN AWESOME DESIGN, BEING COMPACT AND COMFORTABLE TO TYPE ON DOESN'T WORTH ALL THE OTHER HEADACHES IT COMES WITH!
BATTERY ISSUES + GREEN FLASHES (acute dizziness) = UNACCEPTABLE!
UPDATE 2:
It took 7 hours to charge from 60% to 80%, and after i plug out the cable, the battery immediately dropped from 80% to 70% and apart from that i experienced another issue with 2 keys ("enter" + "\" keys) that weren't responsive in terms of RGB colors. Those buttons were also deactivated from the GG software and they were grayed out, undetectable, impossible to select. Switched on and off the keyboard multiple times, switching between connectivity features, until they became responsive and I could again select them but that also reset the color selected for the other key lights.
GOT ALMOST HALF A BATTERY THAT WILL LAST 5 INSTEAD OF 10 HOURS, GG = GOOD GAME!
STEELSERIES THIS IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS! YOU ARE MESSING WITH YOUR CONSUMERS BIG TIME! FIX THE EXISTENT ISSUES BEFORE RELEASING OTHER PRODUCTS!
If you can't possibly fix them after 2 months do what's expected of you and arrange a mass recall.
Thanks this was very helpful. Is there another wireless keyboard you can recommend? I heard the Razor one is pretty good. Heard mixed stuff about the Logitech wireless.
65% please?
