For anyone wondering, it's actual signing, but considering speed and very smooth transition between signs, a person who doesn't know ASL would see a mess. Even if it's ordinary speed, a beginner would see it like a jutsu nevertheless.

I may be wrong here, but couldn’t it be the same as people who can hear not being able to understand Eminem at the start? You could always slow it down so that you can understand, but you probably won’t understand it at the first listen at normal speed, is it the same for ASL?
