Genuinely insane, i expected this to be one of those videos i'd watch for a few minutes and leave shortly after but everything about this is perfected. Story telling, editing and voice over. You told such a strong point about everything. My favourite part is about the end of infinity level. You seemed more to focus on having a fun time and being creative then trying to perfect something in-order to please others. I Always stand by this but i find that things are only perfect if they're not perfect. This game always stood out to me as a creative canvas i could use for projects and you described it perfectly. This is hands down the best Geometry Dash video I’ve ever watched, this video essay outshines every other type of Geometry Dash video there is for me, absolutely outstanding work. 43:39 Though I might add that when an obstacle is freely rotated, it can only touch the secondary player hitbox that rotates with the player, whereas if it’s not, it can only interact with the primary stationary player hitbox.

This video was nothing short of fantastic, the 1 hour went by extremely quickly! I could even start feeling my heart beat towards the end, as it made me remember all the good times i had on this game, the hype when updates released, the adrenaline rush when finishing and releasing a level you worked on for so long, the meetup with friends, being on the edge of my seat for the GD awards, hoping my favourite level will win, ect.. I don’t know why this took so long to come into my recommended but I’m glad it did anyway. Probably one of the best video essays that I’ve watched I don’t regret a single minute. You put so many thoughts and feelings I’ve had for years into actual words. It’s so nice to hear what I’ve struggled to explain to people who think I’ve wasted all my time playing a ‘mobile game’. I relate to so much of this video, I got into the game in a similar way, participated in a botched megacollab, idolised players like cyclic and riot, and years later did what I thought was impossible for myself (also beating cataclysm). Like you, I struggle to stay into games but I’ve kept coming back to this game for the bear part of a decade now and I won’t be leaving any time soon. Thank you for making this love letter to Geometry Dash, this is why I love this community so much. ❤
I think the most relatable things you've said and the ones you said that is much more different than other gd appreciation videos is the way you talk about the game design. I've always find it hard to tell how good the game design is. Gd physics just have such a good flow than almost any game I've ever seen (maybe in some exceptions with Minecraft) and it's just absolutely amazing to synchronize the gameplay with the song. There's definitely a good reason why most gd players listen to a song and imagine a gd level more than an amazing aftereffects edit. While there's lots of bugs, that doesnt define literally every other millions of possible permutations of creating a gameplay style in gd. And I absolutely love that as a layout creator
Its always these random channels with a few hundred to a few thousand subscribers that release some of the best content on this platform, well done on this video i hope to see more like it :)
This game is the only game I come back to each and every time. Not even Minecraft, the first game I loved, can compete. It's addicting, satisfying, and in a way, cares for its players without doing more than giving infinite enjoyment for a very small price. Infinite creativity, and infinite opportunities to improve your mind and your physical skills. Part of me would not exist without it. Geometry Dash is the one game I will always play for the rest of my life when able, and I love it. No other game has the feelings that Geometry Dash does. It is the greatest game I've ever seen, heard of, and played. This game built parts of me as a person.

personally I have like a decent attention span myself although occasionally there's a video I click off half way in but goddamn this is a 1 hour vid that got me stting down and engaged with the content this is what I love to see I'd love more stuff like this.

This is an incredible essay video about Geometry Dash. For me, the only reason why I became so attached to it is so I can share my own levels to other people (with or without design lmao. I could even start feeling my heart beat towards the end, as it made me remember all the good times i had on this game, the hype when updates released, the adrenaline rush when finishing and releasing a level you worked on for so long, the meetup with friends, being on the edge of my seat for the GD awards, hoping my favourite level will win, ect..
GD will forever be my online family, no other games made me feel that community feeling that strongly

I don’t know why this took so long to come into my recommended but I’m glad it did anyway. Probably one of the best video essays that I’ve watched I don’t regret a single minute.
You put so many thoughts and feelings I’ve had for years into actual words. It’s so nice to hear what I’ve struggled to explain to people who think I’ve wasted all my time playing a ‘mobile game’.
I relate to so much of this video, I got into the game in a similar way, participated in a botched megacollab, idolised players like cyclic and riot, and years later did what I thought was impossible for myself (also beating cataclysm).
Like you, I struggle to stay into games but I’ve kept coming back to this game for the bear part of a decade now and I won’t be leaving any time soon. Thank you for making this love letter to Geometry Dash, this is why I love this community so much. ❤
I think the most relatable things you've said and the ones you said that is much more different than other gd appreciation videos is the way you talk about the game design. I've always find it hard to tell how good the game design is. Gd physics just have such a good flow than almost any game I've ever seen (maybe in some exceptions with Minecraft) and it's just absolutely amazing to synchronize the gameplay with the song. There's definitely a good reason why most gd players listen to a song and imagine a gd level more than an amazing aftereffects edit. While there's lots of bugs, that doesnt define literally every other millions of possible permutations of creating a gameplay style in gd. And I absolutely love that as a layout creator

This game is the only game I come back to each and every time. Not even Minecraft, the first game I loved, can compete. It's addicting, satisfying, and in a way, cares for its players without doing more than giving infinite enjoyment for a very small price. Infinite creativity, and infinite opportunities to improve your mind and your physical skills. Part of me would not exist without it. Geometry Dash is the one game I will always play for the rest of my life when able, and I love it. No other game has the feelings that Geometry Dash does. It is the greatest game I've ever seen, heard of, and played. This game built parts of me as a person.
