I talked to everyone, regardless of age, gender, etc. I learned to smile and make eye contact. I said hello or made small talk. I acted as if I were a social, confident , successful, strong person. It was way out of my comfort zone AT FIRST. In time, I was no longer acting/masking, as it became effortless and then it was just who I was and what I did. I wasn’t trying to pick anyone up, as for me it was more of a desire to advance professionally and socially. I did a whole lot of inner work, too. I became the person who I had wanted to be before and had wished I were. Ask yourself, what would a man/woman who loves themselves do in this situation, and do that. Teal Swan has a book and videos describing her one year of self love challenge. Challenge yourself to act like a person who loves themself for one year. Hamza is essentially telling you to do the same thing, but in a different style of delivery. I don’t think he’s autistic, or realizes that this work, especially for those for whom it involves masking, is challenging.
