I was at the complete game in Detroit last Thursday. He's the best player I've ever seen in person. And I've seen guys like Bonds, Jeter, Rivera, and Ortiz play before.
If you're a fan of baseball in general, you have to be rooting for the Angels this year, if not for Shohei. Shohei's historic season deserves to be rewarded with a playoff appearance at the very least.
Yeah but if they are gonna be like this they should done it before the season 😢
I'm hoping Shohei continues to play well and the angels collapse. As much as I would like to see the team do well, they don't have trout (shocker) so they probably won't get far at all. Plus, I want there to be a 0% chance Shohei stays with this franchise who has done nothing but show they are incapable of building a contender. Get out of there asap Shohei.
Angels are only relevant because of Ohtani. 🤔
@@limitedbom2206 Trout will be back in two weeks max
No you don’t.
Ohtani cheerfully accepted a lot of media interviews between games.
He didn't rest.😅
He seems happier though.
Even with the amount of injuries this team has had and to stay that close in the WC is impressive asf.
The Angels failed him back in 21, he had an amazing season and didn’t make offs. Now the angels must go , they need to change everything in their power to push for an playoff appearence. We as baseball fans need to see Shohei Ohtani playing in october because his season has been unbelievable.
The problem is all the teams now are too chicken to pitch to Shohei and are walking him. Is more about the rest of the team than anything else. Even the best team of the league, the Braves are walking Shohei as we speak.
They're cowards. That's what they are.
It's upsetting how many people still don't know who Ohtani is.
What you talking about? Everybody knows who Showtime is.
@@monthrsun7094 everybody and they mama should know who he is by now 🤣💀
It's not even that Ohtani's unpopular, it's that baseball isn't popular enough to spread his name further. He's literally almost as famous as baseball itself is rn.
The angels have so many talented and good players injured rn. I'm confident that you can take all their injured players, make a team, and they'd be better than more than half the teams currently in the league (batting wise at least). That's part of the reason why the angels are still behind yankees and other teams despite looking decent at the start of the year. They have so many key players injured that I'm surprised they're still fighting for a wildcard spot and they're not that far behind either.
Never been so fast to a ohtani video 😂
And they just beat the Braves for game 1👌👌
The risk they took is incredible they demolished their farm system to the point their minor league needs position players to pitch even if they don't win it all and make it to the playoffs it's a story that will go down in their franchise history
At least they can say they are developing more 2-way players in the minors using position players to pitch. lol If that doesn't work out, it still inflates the BA of other minor league teams making them overachieving only to be shot when promoted too early to the majors.
How about that? At the end of the today, the Angels finally have a better record than the Yanks before the trade deadline.
They just handled the braves tonight. Can the Angels climb the mountain?
1/2 game above the Yankees today. 1/2 behinf Boston. 3 behind a wc spot, let go Shohei!!!
Incredibly said.
Rich is a good sport. I was expecting a rant eviscerating the Angels for not trading Ohtani. Rich had a measured response.
They were not under 500 for a long time. Maybe 2 weeks because they lost series they should have won.
This guy said “Angels were below .500 for a long time”
What?! This dude just talking smoke one ear out the other. Angels were only under .500 for 5 games. They been above .500 and back above for almost all season. Angels looking good and ready. I’m excited. Let’s go Angels! This team can now actually run it.
If the Angels can win the series against Atlanta that will be great.
Très bien
Yeh Rich and the boys , spinning truth
プレーオフで大谷が観れるといいんだけど
All of America wants to see that! Ohtani is the best
The 13L streak really fucked them. It’s so hard rn, but props to them for trying.
if he goes to the Yankees it should cost them a billion dollars
Angels, well done 😮
They should’ve tried this for Mike Trout earlier.
4 game sweep by the Mariners. Just deflated the Angel's hopes. Come to Seattle Shohei!!!
And now they are oakland
Rich: "Angels stink, they should release Ohtani"
Also Rich: "Angels are so great right now, such a genius decision to keep Ohtani"
Rich finally rooting for Angels sounds big deal lol
I'm pretty sure an NL pitcher had a multi-homer game and a shutout in the same game of the double-header.
Mariners just spoiled that dream
Ohtani chose the Angels when they had back to back losing seasons because he didnt want to go to teh East Coast and didnt want to play for a big market. All his talent and the team still won a regular season. I hope he now chose winning more than having a easy season and hope they make teh postseason.
The actual reason was because the Angels were one of the only teams willing to let him play both ways like he wanted. If he doesn't go back to the Angels I want to see him in Seattle or San Francisco tbh.
Um….Yankees and Mets are trash. I think Ohtani knows what is best for him, not you.
The teams that Shohei did not go to was they didn't believe in him doing both at the same time. Now that he has shown that he can do it at the highest level, all those teams that doubted him now wants him. Shohei has options now compared to before where the Angels was the only team that let him do it. With how much Shohei wants to win and how bad the Angels are, the result is obvious. Shohei is leaving in FA.
@@seekthao Yes go to a team like the Angels who haven't been over .500 even before Ohtani got their. Ohtani was too scared to handle NYC and the trash Angels who wasted two great talents as the Yanks have been way better than most franchises and the second most valuable team in the world. Only team Ohtani could handle( as I of course would have loved him) its Dodgers.
If Ohtani would be a Yank he would be bigger than any other team he chose as Yankees are teh biggest team in Japan. He wants teh West coast and easy team to handle.
@@SteveDave211 Yankees are trash themselves, big payroll and a average team
Historic seasons are generally right before a new contract. HR numbers don't magically double in a year unless you are Sosa, McGwire or Barry.
He's been doing this since 2021.😒
Just saying they need to be a better team then Toronto for get Yankees Toronto is a better team then all of them
We heard that last year too and Toronto did absolutely nothing. As they always do. Yawn.
@@173jaSon371where is the lie … Toronto ? Who ? Lol
Trade Boone for Nevin. It will make everybody very happy.
Rich is such a bandwagon baseball fan.
he wont be going to the Donkees, and the Donkees wont be going to the playoffs...
I'm not going to be following this podcast anymore. Rich, your takes are incredibly inconsistent. It doesn't feel like too ago you were essentially begging the Angels to cash out. Don't pretend to be a fan now.
