- A 4k Toronto walk along the boarded in the Beaches neighbourhood. There was a heat warning effect when this was recorded. I start in front of the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant and head west across the beaches to Woodbine Park. Recorded in the afternoon of Sunday, June 6, 2021.
Recorded in 4K at 60 FPS with a DJI Pocket 2.

This vid brought back a forgotten memory of going smelt fishing one night with a friend and his father, back in the early 70's at the water treatment plant. Wonder if that still goes on?
I always appreciate a tour of the Beaches JS. First 2 years of my life my parents lived at Queen and Beach. My ma had pictures of me eating the sand at Balmy Beach before I was a toddler.

toronto's water treatment plant that's where they filmed a scene from "in the mouth of madness" that's so cool. i think that every movie that's filmed in toronto must film or use that location from what i heard,not sure if that's true
It was also used in the Bob and Doug McKenzie movie Strange Brew, and the Dave Chappelle stoner comedy Half Baked.

I tend to walk on the bike path or skating path, as it is in the shade , I do make way for the bikers etc

Looks almost the same as 30 years ago, except 10 times the people -especially near the water works (it used to be so quiet there), and for some reason I just keep hearing English accents everywhere?
One of my favorite beach areas is the section from the RC Harris and Silverbirch Ave and does not have a boardwalk. The reason i liked that beach so much because it is officially -Off Leash area for Dogs. I had a run in with a women there years ago when she yelled at me to put my dog on a leach because her children might be affraid of it... My rebutal to her was "This is an off leash area for dog, but not children, so put your kids on a leash" She called the local councilor at the time and he somehow knew it was me (Maybe because i was quite vocal about having off leeash areas along the beach)and called me to ask if i said that.... I said yes and then we both laughed
You didn't mention Cherry Beach and the Leslie Spit, is it because they're on the West some of Woodbine, not included in this walk?
They're quite far from here... I've covered those areas in the past and will be back again, this one was just through The Beaches neighbourhood.

if you go to like lake erie or lake heron the water is 20 plus degrees in those lakes the beaches are full and same with the water since like mid may

I cant blame people for walking the side path, its way too busy and its not safe to get that close (on the boardwalk itself).
I dont know how you dont become terrified as people walk past you up close.
Been watching videos the entire pandemic, i have health issues so ive been in isolation since the start. Just got my 2nd dose last week!
Anyways thanks for all the videos, its useful to see whether or not others are taking covid seriously (masking, distance). Its helped inform and confirm my decision to just stay inside. Looking forward to more people getting vaccinated so i can go out again. Beautiful day.

Swimming in front of the water treatment plant not cool
The intake and outgoing pipes are not on the shoreline. People appear to be sitting on the shore; the beaches along the lakefront are all rated for cleanliness.
It has no impact on anything...
