Storyline&Why I insist on the rape hotlines:
So, Lydia's a showgirl, she's sexy and Dean noticed it. He has the hots for her and maybe she kinda liked him too. But in this AU, Dean's an alcoholic psychopath and would do anything for her to be his. Now I guess the only dance she does is led by Dean, and she sure doesn't enjoy it.
The music wasn't probably talking about rape or anything, it's just how I interpreted it.
I just thought it's good to remind everyone that, it's never, NEVER, the victim's fault (I see the bridge of the song as a moment where the victim would convince herself she deserved it), whatever she wears, whatever she does, whaterver their job is. Yeah I write "their" because even if it mostly touches women, men can also be victims. It's just good to say it in a society where 'Rape Culture' is still a thing.
I like to watch these kind of AUs, I like to make them too, as long as they stay fictionals.
