In my candid opinion, giving the lady money may not be enough. The right thing needs to be done. The best she can do is to give her insurance cover. Are we aware she can also get reccuring problems because of the accident? Doing good is different from doing the right thing. please, if the car has been insured, the company pays for only the damages to the car, not the victim .. now if the victim insured her life, then the insurance company pays a designated beneficiary upon the death of the victim ( terminal illness may trigger this payment, in this case the accident to her could trigger it ) ...now all these depend on the contract, but in a case where only car was in sured, the company does not have to pay for injuries, just damages to the car.. if it is irrepairable, they buy you a new one with an equivalent price
