Is this even possible in trading? Because I'm still not a profitable trader even though I am a little knowledgeable about chart patterns, how to identify support and resistance, and how to break a trend. my job slowed down a few months back and I started trading futures. your videos have been great advice as it helped me figure out a good path. Last week though I ignored all my rules and got very emotional. I lost around 5000 in profit and blew my entire account of about 10000 more dollars. And then used the rest of my money saved another 10000 and ended up losing everything I have revenge trading and trying short at the wrong time the same markets over and over and having too much size. Not too sure where I’m gonna go from here yet and it’s been rough, but I don’t want to give up when I hopefully build capital again in the future.
lot of other big mistakes like being greedy and not taking profit when it was a 1:1 or 2:1 gain cause I wanted to believe I had a moonbag and market reversed but yeah
Oof, that's rough. Have you considered the prop firm route? Like Topstep or Take Profit Trader? Bc You can get funded and don't have to risk your own capital. There are rules, and monthly fees associated, and you do have to pass a challenge to get funded, but once you are profitable, you can take a portion of the profits out and start funding your own trading account back up without using your hard earned money/ savings plus having small monthly fees are not as bad as losing thousands of your own $ which I too have done.
