- Sonic Colors Ultimate will be releasing on September 7th, 2021! To Celebrate I have decided to replay the original Sonic Colors released on the Wii in 2010 to collect all of the Red Star Rings and obtain S Ranks on every single level! Hopefully this new series will help those who buy Sonic Colors Ultimate! Here's how you can get all red rings and s ranks in Planet Wisp Act 1-6!
Footage was recorded in 1080p 60fps on the Dolphin Emulator!

Why does the spike wisp controls sometimes goes inverted and sometimes not?
When jumping onto walls, you always face upwards, regardless of whetever you were jumping up or falling down while touching it.
When jumping to a ceiling while letting the stick reset to neutral, your horizontal direction from jumping gets inverted when touching the ceiling.
I think the latter has to do with the mechanic that when you hold the same direction, and transition between ground, wall and ceiling, you keep moving smoothly along the surface instead of bouncing back and forth, so your input is turned by 90° and 180° on the go. It should only happen when moving between ground and wall, or wall and ceiling, but apparently, it also happens between ground and ceiling for a bit before a different section of code detects and corrects it.
It can be avoided by moving a bit on the ceiling before reving up a Spin-Dash.
