Winning mentality is a fact, but it is overused by everyone (pundits and fans) because they just can't see tactical and technical differences and matchups. Besides, winning mentality is an individual thing. One doesn't become a winner just because one joined a team that won titles. The culture and the pressure accompanying playing for a great team would definitely help but it won't make a complete transformation.

No, Real Madrid win when they have a great coach and have the right players, with some luck of course. They were a joke from 2004 till Mourinho took over, but he wasn't good enough + wasn't lucky. Then Ancelotti and Zidane brought them 4 titles in five years using the same players who couldn't get to the final with Mourinho. Then the same players were humiliated by Ajax when an average coach managed them.
Winning mentality plays only a small role. Great coaches put great tactics, modify tactics based on opponents, ensure that their players stay fit, disciplined, and motivated most of the season (I'd take an average player who is fit over a talented one who isn't), and bring in the suitable players.

When you’re losing a game, you can’t sit back in a defensive posture as France did. Especially with the ongoing looming threat of Mbappe, especially while missing your key defensive player on that side of the pitch, it would be a tremendous tactical blunder for Spain to continue pushing forward on every play. No, France has to come out of their defensive posture, press Spain’s back line and midfield to force passing errors and not allow Spain’s passing patterns to dictate the game. France did not do that. Nacho sat on the ball at times and France refused to give up the midfield and press forward . They have to chase the game at that point with a coordinated press, not the other way around.

Rodri, Fabián, and Olmo are demonstrating they are better players than Kanté, Tchouaméni, and especially Rabiot. If Griezmann is absent and/or not in form, none of France's midfielders have the technical ability to create and filter accurate passes through the lines, zero creativity, just muscle, and in the semis not even. What's written in the stars is that England are about to face a Spanish team that is playing the way the world feared England would develop into playing and were terrified of as they saw the potential of Saka improving to what he is today on one England wing and Raheem Sterling, the highest scoring winger in Premier League history, if you exclude penalties, with still at least 3 seasons of his career still to play, playing on the other. A terrifying prospect they quickly went and emulated to devastating effect with their new wingers as we can see in this tournament playing like Sterling clones, while England blessed with the original thing threw the two terrifying wingers, fast, dribbling, one on one threatening, assist providing, relentless and able to score as many goals as strikers idea to the scrap bin. Spains football looks like the future, with a new type of winger designed by Pep executed by Sterling to change what is expected of wingers forever, as we see Mbappe, Junior, Salah, Doku and now this Spanish 16 year old all expected to score as many goals as strikers and often the most lethal weapons of attack in their teams. A weapon that is the future and was introduced to the world by an English player in Raheem Sterling guide by Pep, but a weapon that was cast aside by Southgate for these European Championships only to be facing a team in the final that has won all their games using this very weapon. The irony. I can barely watch. Peace and love

New type of winger Pep executed? Are you mad , Henry and Pires were coming in off the wing for Arsenal in the Prem long before Pep was doing it (never mind Ronaldo at UTD) . You are a clown that has been brainwashed by a media that has harassed Sterling for racial reasons since the age of 17 and throughout his career promoting negativity about him and trying to stop his England career. And don't forget, not a single England fan after brainwashing from the racist media wanted him to be in the England team at the last Euros where he almost single handedly dragged England to our first final in over half a century. All the confidence the England team has started from what he did in that Euros. He is a legend breaking a 50 year cycle of failure through what he did at the last Euros and ironically Engla are about to face a Spain team with 2 terrifying wingers molded on Sterling's game, style of play and new demands of a winger he has set as the standard that in which a winger must have multiple weapons and score as much as the striker. He sets the standard in being the highest scoring winger in Premier league history, if you exclude penalties. He is the by far the best winger England have ever had. As for his misses of big chances, Kane and Salah have missed more big chances, but nobody ever doubts them because the media do not use those misses too manipulate the public into looking at those players negatively in what is clearly an orchestrated relentless attack on Sterling led by racism to get him out of the England team which succeeded, but now England will face Sterling clones in the final that have led to their team to winning every game they have played in this tournament. FIFA rule
“Playing in a dangerous manner involves no physical contact between the players. If there is physical contact, the action becomes an offence punishable with a direct free kick or penalty kick.”
It continued: “In the case of physical contact, the referee should carefully consider the high probability that misconduct has also been committed.”

The trick for Spain and similar teams (like Portugal) is to have skillful players who can keep possession of the ball. When you have 10 (or even 11 if we count the goalkeeper), you are going to have a formidable team regardless of the individuals being superstars or just good players.

Spain v France is an interesting rivalry with not many matches. I remember when I thought Spain could beat France in 2006 with young David villa, Torres, fabregas and Xavi, but France turned out to be far too good with zidane viera henry and Ribery bossing the match. Then Spain got them back in 2012 knockout stages with a x. Alonso double, and now this win for Spain is even bigger! Agree France has the more star players now but Olmo Yamal and Nico are becoming star players in this tournament. Also I find it crazy France has quality players like Pavard and Thuram who for inter are superstars but hardly get a sniff into the France team
