Let's be clear on that

i mean that is pretty obvious, not all that smart esp from a supposed grandmaster
Hikarus energy in the opening is so addictive and i love it.

Yeah, I was like "wait, isn't this a draw? How is he going to win this?" And then Hikaru moved his rook, and I realized he had an extra rook. My WTF moment!
I'll never forget the pain that i felt when i was playing against Mittens
Is it bad if the game review tells u that mittens was 92% correct and u were 83% considering that i have been playing just for a month chess only 40 games and i am rated 680 Elo ?

Oh guys he canât fork at 9:26 the two rooks because mittens can just take Hikarus room with check then Hilary will recapture, and then mittens can protect his rook. Hope this helps!

Hikaru in an untimed game against a cat: "I don't wanna spend too much time here"
People who think they are big brain at 9:07 knight fork it losses on the spot because u dont want a rook exchange
damn I thought the same, thinking its winning
Big brain
Why tho? You keep a pawn advantage and either a rook or a knight, that's a winning or draw position no?
â@@teddylegroux1298 after the knight fork the rook on f8 can take hikaru's rook with check
Hikaru is so freaking good at playing closed positions. He brutalized the bot in that last game.
true, I remember him playing a game vs komodo in a closed position like this and I think he won
The closed position technique was masterfully executed. Hikaru has special strategies against engines and though others might get lucky in a blind spot, he methodically out plays these lofty opponents. My feeling is he preps for everything far beyond appreciated. Even his speedruns. True chess professional. Heroic content.
shut up george
Hikaru, You must be crazy energetic in your childhood, you have unmatched energy!
Good for you, Hikaru, for finally finding someone or something against whom you can play a game of chess for fun.
The switch from Hikaru in CZcams mode to Hikaru in Twitch mode happens at around 3:32
That was a really interesting last game, with the very closed position. Seems like with no obvious options for the bot, Hikaru's human ability to have a long strategy like that is simply superior to what this bot could figure out.
Although he's a GM, Hikaru's ability to analyze every single move, in-depth, to the 't', is absolutely awe-inspiring. Truly inspirational and can be learnt a lot by the first game alone
What do u mean by 'Although'?
@@farishakim6759 I meant, being a GM it's expected out of him but he's brilliant. Poorly worded, I guess đ
@@nirmalshah9947 nah..you're good..just want to confirm
What amazes me, is not the fact that he considers and calculates these moves, but the speed at which he can come to a decision. Really impressive
@@THEpicND Not only years and years of practice but he's a natural. It takes a lot to not only reach this level of play but more to beat someone like him
That Botez Gambit remark had never dying đđ
this is why I never forget that this man is a mind boggly insane player at the game of chess and way more than one of my hiperfixations to watch on CZcams bc watching this high as shit im perplexed rnđ
You played so well, great video!
OMG, the satisfaction in the end. You can feel it through the screen
Hikaru as a 600 I can't describe how much I wish I knew what I was doing even a quarter as much as you do, watching you deal with these bots boggles the mind! Please send prayers for my poor little puzzle brain!
Pleasure to watch as always sir.
Also wasnât there a fork by the knight at 9:50, I think itâs a good move since It is a fork between the two black rooks
The rook can be taken forcing you to move the king and only having a knight against a rook.
This is so useful the way he explains everything wow
A determined stare, showing your resolve to keep this trend going. The start of a great adventure. 9/10.
10/10
I'm a simple man. I see an annoying Gotham enjoyer on Hikaru video comments. I dislike.

Hikaru is such a genius. Whatâs crazy tho is Hikaru always ends up worse after a mittens move that he deems incorrect. Which just goes to show you how deep a chess bot can calculate
Your stream of thought is so satisfyingly refined!
Really like these videos where you calculate the lines out loud, very instructional
The only big drawback is that in a "game" mode I can't show the analysis of what I am saying ala all the "fork" comments.
@@GMHikaru I'm 580 and i figured out it was a bad move the moment i saw that your rook can be taken with check and you'll end up in a knight vs rook. Of course im bad but i even saw that
Hikaru sacrificing the rook with all his energy HAHA
Beautiful last game Hikaru and nice video overall, 9.8/10

Really like the way you play and your funny it s always fun watching your videos continue like this đđ
NOOOOO the return of mittens, time for pain, gain and the weirdest games
I love when he explain every move
at 10:21 hikaru could fork the rooks with knight to d7 and if rook f8 took rook f2 he could simply take the rook on e5 with his knight
3:12 "sacrifice the rook!"
Hikaru's raw calculation is absolutely insane.
I love how all the chess players I watched speak so clear. I never have to use subtitles
This was beautiful game and victory
I'm curious and also terrified if Hikaru Mittens actually exist
how you can be this good at chess is unbeliveable crazy
that confidence as soon as the posittion closed in the last game
such a great way of explaining, its so mesmorising! also missed a fork 10:13

Didn't he miss a fork on rooks at 9:31?
@@user-bx3jq3jz6o it will be a trade
@@user-bx3jq3jz6o yeah it was a trade not a fork and plus it wouldn't be a good position for hikaru
9:20 why wouldnât forking the rooks work? Yea Iâm low ELO itâs a genuine question đąđ
Knight moves he just take the rook below it and its just a rook trade and rook vs knight is a losing endgame
EXACTLY! AND TWICE!!
10:17 "Hikaru: what could the miracle possibly be?" IT IS FORKING THE ROOKS DAMNIT!
I'm low elo as well, I guess this is the most we can come up with đ
bcz there is rook f3 check, then king has to take and then the bot can move the other rook to safety
Mittens rook on F8 would simply take Hikarus rook on F3. The king would have to take it, and mittens could just move the rook on C5. Then it would be a knight vs a rook, clearly losing for Hikaru.
I was waiting for this vid since Monday cuz hikaru uploads every 6 hours
Hikaru has like 3 different personalities: 1) Interview Hikaru 2) CZcams Hikaru 3) Stream Hikaru
Not being a native English speaker, at first it was harder for me to follow Hikaru, but once I got used to it he's become my favorite even better than Levy, and whether he slows down for us to follow him better or I became more attuned to his speech, in any case his content is very educational and entertaining. đ

10:36 Kd7 if rook takes the rook on f3 you take back the rook with the king and u are winning tho?
@@dany9007 link of ur game?
@@dany9007 The best I can think of is
Nd7, Re3+, Kg2, Rxf2+, Kxf2, Rb3, Ke1, he wins the b2 pawn and promotion --> b4, axb4, a3, Nd3, Rb1+
Not saying I know better but at 9:22 there was a fork of the rooks. Knight D7, Rook F3 check, King F3, and then its black to play whilst white has pressure on the black rook on c5. After black moves (anywhere, wouldn't matter), the Knight can go to B6 and help or sacrifice itself for the pawns
Was looking for this comment đ is there a reason why that's a bad move?
They can trade rooks with a check- after knight d7 there is rxf3+ (check), forcing a trade. After the rook on e5 can move away and obviously the rook will beet the knight in the endgame.
â@@AUBEP2 My bad, didnt notice he only has 1 rook. My fault
â@@veerbatra2727 â My bad, didnt notice he only has 1 rook. My fault. Its a bad move cause its a knight vs rook endgame and rook would obv win

hi hikaru i was wondering if you think you would be able to find moves like nh5 and a5 in a classical game, great video!

3:20 hikaru saying the rooook doesnât feel the same as when levy says it
Sacking the rook and it being the best move at that moment is so was funny to me
Great job, man!

9:17 you overlooked a fork with your horse. (knight to d7)
No he didn't
@@Baru_boy d7 then the towers are forked right?
@@Baru_boy they are literally forked.
@@matrix88918 sigh are you blind the knight is pinned to the rook if knight moves Rook takes rook by also putting the king under the check after kings takes other rook just escapes after which it will be a rook vs knight endgame

3:15 AND HIKARU SACRIFICED THE ROOOK
10:12 look at that beautiful knight fork on the rooksđ
9:08 yu shuld ve forked da roks
Basically if Knight D7, rook takes F3 check, King takes F3, a rook vs Knight endgame is a win for mittens.
