If China plays it's cards with intelligence, it has the potential to be the capital of the world in car production. If China can produce an identical quality of car which costs £20k in Europe or America to produce say for example £15k, the world is it's oyster.
If you watch the US car commercial, you find the same. My father has a Peugeot 2008. He only paid 55% of the price of the same model in France. I live in Paris, and I had a Peugeot 308. So, yeah , like somebody said, cheap labour.

This cars are product for the china market only, I think. To sell in China, Renault must assembly cars in the country. Same rule for Peugeot/Citroën.
