Greenlight FIRE & RESCUE Series 1 - Review

Here we have a brand new Greenlight 6 vehicle series named Fire and Rescue. This set of fire trucks features 6 different 1/64 scale castings of some very detailed and realistic service trucks from various States in the USA. There are many, many FDNY trucks and trailers.
As a tribute to this new series, I collected every single Greenlight and M2 fire vehicle casting from my huge collection for this review. I even built my Lego Fire Mech and brought it to the table as well, mainly to show relative scale of Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries battlemechs to road vehicles.
At the end of the video (about the last 10 minutes), I filmed an update on my 2021 Hot Wheels mainline collection. With all of the nice and helpful comments I received on my 2021 Hot Wheels Year in Review video, I was able to find twelve more cars to add to my collection, all thanks to you guys!

I truly enjoy these models and I think it's a dandy. I'm going to zonk the lack of functionality I think GreenLigbt could've added some functionality.

If you're looking for a tow truck that works, you're going to have to get on in larger scale or buy one rom most of the competition such as Naesto, Matchbox, Hot Wheels, or if you want to spend more get one from AutoArt because GreenLight isn't a company that will appease modelers on functionality compared to the competition.
@@wtffor If you were to work for GreenLight what would you do differently? Would you make a perfect model with functionality, quality and no mistakes?

i really like how greenlight does these series using state replica deco's. i will be looking for Vermont and New Hampshire for sure

They were a light bar that was available in the 1990s, so that’s what they might have used. The first time I saw one of those was in the early 1990s on a Pennsylvania State Police cruiser, but I’ve never seen that vehicle (the actual vehicle I mean, and by the time I went there, passing through it on the train, it was probably decommissioned by that point) in person, as I don’t live anywhere near Reno. I’ve mostly seen those on full size police cars like the Chevrolet Caprice and Ford Crown Victoria.
@@organrick I remember them being in a straight line. Not in the v formation. Red on the outside and white in the middle. Or blue for road service maintenance.

I almost thought the same thing about the lightbar on the Jeep but then I remember when I was a kid seeing that type of lightbar in the mid '90s appearing on the new police cars of the time. I distinctly remember because I thought it was cool that it looked like an arrow point

Awesome video. Nice to see some older cars to match the theme. Also good to know that half those new ones have a plastic base. I'll prob avoid those unless I'm in love with the casting. Nice to see the high quality control on these models. They are very capable of clean castings so fingers crossed the quality remains high. Happy you found more 2021 mainlines. You do have 8/10 in Muscle mania it's the 65 ford galaxie th you showed in the full year review. You are missing 10/10 the Shelby cobra 427 that also comes as a STH. It's a dark red. I think you are missing the red Nissan 35GT RR VER 2. The race team challenger drift car only comes in the blue. Happy hunting. Thanks for the great video.
Thank you for the help, I now now know what HW Mainlines I need to find! It is too bad about the plastic bases on the GL trucks, but it's good consumers show Greenlight what they want by not buying everything. I am frequently disappointed by GL, but happy to help other consumers and collectors make an educated buying decision. :)

6:39 I agree.. but like then again you see the NYPD get that type of light bar in the 1990s and even towns near me have police and fire units with that light bar
I think you're ready for a Canadian Fire Resque show after that intro! The '92 Ford F-350 and the '96 Chevy C20 Custom Deluxe are my favorites from this new set, but the others look good as well. Strange they used plastic bases for half of these models, maybe to keep the prices relatively low becuase of the extra details. Also, you have a really nice fire vehicle collection from Greenlight. Maybe we'll see new (and maybe bigger) fire vehicles from Greenlight in future 'Fire & Resque' sets. Thanks for the nice presentation!

Hi in uk a few different store groups had some stock caught in the back log of shipping containers in ports & on boats as found loads being arriving last 2 weeks that should of be out before christmas
The reno cherokee is accurate- maybe not exact, but the real deal does hav a vector style lightbar. Be nice if the brookfield forestry had the brush stuff too…
