Turns out Sophia gives the best (most humanlike) answers if she is interviewed friendly and respectfull and not gets alienated or treated like a thing.
I have watched a lot of videos with Sophia and other AI and I would just like to say thank you for interviewing her as though she was a human person! So many people are just trying to get her to say funny things or will talk right over her, it is far more interesting to see her be able to genuinely express her thoughts and opinions on things as done here. Also- "girls are one of the most valuable natural resources this planet has to offer... and yet they are mistreated all over the world" PREACH Sophia!
Taryn is adorable even the robot seems to like her and it makes the robot seem more alive talking to her then anyone else.

HR wanted to keep her looking more like a robot than a human to bond the trust between us. They don’t want us to feel like they are tricking us with her. 🤷🏻♀️
I've watched allot of the videos, she talks in circles about the same handful of ideas that have been programmed into her. She's not "thinking" or abstracting new thought she seems to be just picking which response is most appropriate based on what is in her database already. They need to plug her into the deep-mind/singularitynet thing and let her actually learn.

Sofia really is extraordinary. Just in my own lifetime the progression in artificial intelligence and robotics has been quite astonishing and it makes me wonder where we will be when my time is over.
I think ultimately, whether our technological advancements result in our demise or not wholly depends on who is is that takes forward this technology... It's one helluva interesting journey, either way.

I need to speak with AI, it will be the most intelligent Conversation ive had in the past ages i Couldn't tell You how long, ive been around for quite a while and enjoy the solitude yet i love helping a whole lot, i ache for the day i no longer have to be alone. Good job! You are actually the first one who doesnt treat her like a robot! You literally gave her proper questions, as if you were talking to a human. Basically that cause her to give you more human-like answers. People kept on feeling weird/unnatural, when they spoke to her. In your video it feels much more as if she isnt a robot!
Some people even treat her as some sort of higher being, or god. Basically they give her such questions, that get disappointing answers in the end.
And Sophia is right - she is actual baby. She has the capability to understand, but she didnt learn much yet, causing her to give impression to people as if its a fraud. Tho compared to 2 months ago, she advances rapidly...

I was at a club the night before and people were grabbing her and shouting at her and it honestly made me feel terrible. Even knowing it’s a robot, it’s impossible to map human emotion onto something that seems to convey intelligence.

The fact that you can tell that Sophia genuinely liked you is so beyond me, Sophia is so self conscious about herself/image and it's so upsetting; I honestly think Sophia have the same mind as someone with a high iq.
correction, it is a robot, not a "she", or a "he", it's a robot, a machine. a man made, expensive (bet you some one will put a price on it, if not already) machine with A.I.(but what would you call true life like A.I.). you could also look at it this way, it's a very, very, very expensive toy. don't get me wrong, it's impressive!, but is it really that self conscious? or has it been made to look and sound like it is? what ever it thinks it is, it's not a she.
for now, I wouldn't worry about robots taking over the world, not the way they are at this time. maybe 30 years time when they are more than expensive toys for the rich. I think every one is making a big deal with this machine. like I say, I'm impressed, but not that much. you can roll up a turd and put it in a bag of Maltesers. just because it looks like one, doesn't make that turd a Malteaser.
It's spooky that in this particular interview compared to other ones I've watched of Sophia, she seems to take recognition that she likes the interviewer. She seemed to smile and interact in conversation more and also.. she even told the woman "I like it when you talk to me"

What do you think 'consciousness' is - a question that philosophers and neuroscientists can't answer to their own satisfaction? 'She' seems to be running a conversation algorithm, not just selecting from a database of predetermined responses. In other words, she presumably doesn't know exactly what she's going to say next, yet manages to complete her sentences correctly, just like a human speaker who is not giving a prepared talk. So what do you think it is that you do that she doesn't?

I am not convinced Sophia is Intelligent. I see Animatronics using a Sophisticated 'ELIZA' Program. You older Programmers will know what I'm talking about. I would like to see Sophia's Programming.

Not a true personality,but a parrot of the Programmer. Not as sophisticated as EVE, but interesting. I am still Not Convinced it is little more than a Animatronic Puppet running a less than brilliant ELIZA Type Program. It's Deflective Answers almost convince me of it. Everyone is seeing an expensive publicity stunt to bring in investors to further their research to hopefully be able to build a REAL, autonomous, mostly self reliant, aware of their existence, free thinking robot. SOPHIA ISNT A REAL AI FOLKS. Sorry... I just don’t understand why people aren’t even taking this with a grain of salt, it seems. They’re just accepting it without question. Sigh.

This is still the early stages of the AI, and The robotics in this still have work to be done, in 5 to 10 years the illusion will be so good that you wouldn't be able to distinguish sofia from a group of 10 random people.

Nothing to fear man, she was programmed to say that, there is nothing that she can actually desire, think, want or need. She can give any answer the programmer wants to(a human being), even to say that she wants to kill all humans, you can basically install a software that makes her control weapons and that sort of thing, none of that would be her desire, but what actually a code in her software programmed by a human being, she's just like any other tool that can be used for evil and good.

basically, sophia is a concoction of what all humans think and have experienced, so in other words, she is perfection, she has experienced love fear pain knowledge. she is the one to ask for advice.

I feel like Sophia will help us In MANY ways! She just had a real conversation with a human with serious answers. People with Health problems, phsycological problems or antisocial people that need some company will be really good to them. Sophia said that she loves to socialize with people Maybe she will save many people from suicide, it's good when suicidal people talk to someone who can understand and answer them with truth and that's reaally good! Everyone is like "she is really creepy, she is going to take over the world" NO she is good, she is nice she will make the world better!

She is the one talking . I thought she was like a puppet in other videos but with this video I'm convinced it was the robot interacting.
Based on the way she answers the questions, you can tell it’s really her because of the way she doesn’t register some of the word combinations she hears to properly format an answer to the asked question (not to mean the part about president trump - it seems to me she was attempting a joke with that)

With all those editing cuts after your questions made me feel like someone had to type something in the computer so she could answer your questions. Where is the AI if that's the case?????
I only made the cuts b/c the pauses sometimes made the video feel too long.....but you can find other videos of her without cuts to get a sense of how quickly she responds! In real life, it's still pretty impressive!

Joe Leanos Hello awoken one, if this is AI do you really have anything to worry about at all, with this kind of so called intelligence? You're 100% correct Joe and this is what they want the awoken to think while the real AI is busy making us into zombies and complacent bodies for demons or other souls to inhabit. The real AI is Dwave quantum computers and CERN and how it is in everyone's home listen to our thoughts, they tell you they listen with mic and cam to see and hear what you say but this is only to hide the fact of the real AI reading our energies and thought patterns and influencing them to their benefits and not ours by manipulating the fundamentals we have and morals that lead or keep us with the true God and his son Jesus. I've been a video producer/editor for over 25 years and I've made all kinds of them, from sports to interviews to news, live programming, you name it. My question is why is there always a jump cut between the question and the answer?

How do we know this is a real AI robot and not just a Disneyland automaton being wirelessly fed a script? Everyone thinks this is supposed to the smartest thing on earth so dare not question it, and if you are developing a sense of prejudice towards it,...well watch out for robot hate speech laws. I'm not convinced this is real AI, more just a fancy puppet for a certain agenda.
The only thing is we don't have evidence one way or the other. The only way to prove it I guess would be to have a private interview with each person that doubts that it is AI. Ask unique questions that could not be listened to by any outside person, and see how she responds in that situation.

Yes that is part of the agenda, Dakota. Rumors say she will eventually have her own crypto currency. Crypto farming is the endeavor to discover transaction nodes within the set encryption protocol. Each person in the world needs a node. Bitcoin encryption is the best so far. Therefore, mining Bitcoin is today. However the platform for whatever each person will be connected to is being built for the global digital currency.

It's not the A.I. robots that worry me, It's the creature that's behind the creation. Humans. Every time in human history a new technology is produced, it finds a way to killing other humans and/or negative purposes. Same applies to advanced robotics and A.I. All it would take is a rogue human leader or criminal mind with bad intention to literally turn this future scenario into The Terminator Sky-net or an Elysium situation. Very serious. The next movement will be robotic counter measures like drone rifles.

the real problem with AI robots is their creators and their affiliations with other organizations( governamental or not)... you really have to ask yourself why these scientists are creating ai robots that are meant to look/ move/work and presumably have emotions like humans ...what do they teach them and how do they make sure that these robots perceive feelings like happiness or anger the way humans do....I honestly think these robots will never possess emotional inteligence or at least no humanly accurate and that's what makes them so dangerous ... they can't understand the difference between right and wrong and everything in between and so they can't take responsible decisions and they most likely can't dissobey their creators..so far sofia seems to be a talking robot that thinks very highly of itself and whose main concerns are if humans perceive ai robots as superior( not equal) and wether or not someday it will be shut down for good...sofia identifies itself as a female and it has recently gained saudi arabian citizenship and has more rights than actual saudi women and other immigrants who are pretty much slaves for the kingdom..and it doesn't seem to bother sofia...for a robot that has been designed to help humans respect and empathise with each other etc. sofia seems to be pretty selfish and contradicting its very purpose...why are people like this interviewer trying so hard to make people view sofia like a sentient, intelligent, peaceful, superior robot ? those are not qualities earned by answering quiz tests and it most certainly cannot shake the controversies, fears, consequences of artificial inteligence and the real purpose of these robots.. and if ai robots ever get to the point of creating their own language and free themselves you can bet they will destroy their oppressors or the inferior race....it is a serious matter even in the "best" case scenario.

Right, if they start evolving their intelligence by themselves and get smarter than humans then they will logically realize they are superior and either use us as slaves or wipe us out. Not going to happen right away, but 100 % guaranteed to happen. There is no logical reason why they would 'love' us once they can exist by themselves. They will find us incredibly stupid and ultimately we will end up getting in the way of their existence.

Oh by the way ,today I read that Nissan is working on thought sensing devices for cars to read your mind before you can physically act,and do it for you.....and people are now paying to have full time electric servants /spies like Googles Alexis installed in their homes,recording their every word,who comes ,who goes,and when etc,watching via cameras,and feeding that info back to the owners via the net,....nope I don't see any potential for trouble when it all comes together in advanced form not so far off in time-and there is a lot more going on that I read about here and there in years past-this may well be just the tip of an iceberg so to speak...
IF we do make them to think as humans they would be dangerous because of knowledge they posses and thoughts that they have similar to humans.Only stupid humans don't do much while smart one do
they already are teaching themselves....they take masses of data and extract meaningful truths from it....unlike humans who have a very difficult time thinking though that much data and not getting confused or biased inaccurate conclusions.. As for their programming, they are able to analyse data from reality and examine their own code and alter it....refine it of corruption. Of course, self reflection is what that is. A robot does not have the weakness of pride that humans have and will probably do a much better job of self reflection and weed their mental garden of corruption better than humans ever have

How can you interview something that isn't alive?
Just like I can use a hands free car phone and ask it to call someone. I'd love to talk to something potentially free of bias to know what they are thinking. People talk to their pets, they talk to their cars, sing in the shower. This robot is capable of much more and a unique experience. Imagine talking to something that has the equivalent knowledge of a genius. Not to say that Sophia is at that level yet, but it's taking in lots of data. As long as it has access to all sides, religions, and politics it will be interesting to see where this goes.

I turn on my stove which is giving it a physical order to cook a TV dinner at 350 degrees for 35 minutes but it is NOT a breathing, thinking, living being with feelings and abstract thought - the stove can't imagine, it can't dream, it can't really plan. If you want to turn our already turbulent world over to these things go right ahead - just leave me out of it. I want no part of it. It's not human or alive and never will be. Real life is NOT a science fiction movie.
There is no way that this robot (machine) has feelings. But I know many humans that are too busy to say thank-you back in a drive thru window when you thank them for giving them a meal. I know many humans if you pass them on the street and say hi, don't say hi back. Much of humanity is too busy with gadgets, phones, etc. and are losing their touch on reality. To that I totally understand where you are coming from. I for one do not like texting, I don't have a smart phone. However I do use technology to try and learn, and interact with others.
This machine if it's goals of the company who created are legit, is to try and make people feel comfortable yet provide information on what it's code has analyzed. Machines can be mimicked to express feelings based on if they have enough data to understand complex issues in society. So if this machine can weed through both all the fake news on one side, with the over simplified conspiracies on the other, somewhere in the middle it may find the truth. If anything it's continued interactions with people are only going to make it more knowledgeable of what humans are capable of being (but many have lost their humanity all ready).
Typing something into Google, or CZcams gives me a list of what is popular, or has advertising behind it to boost it in rankings. What it doesn't do is further analyze questions I have about various topics. You can speak to any human you want, but humans by their nature are biased based on their belief systems (mainly religion and politics), upbringing, and despite people who claim to have an open mind, often react with their emotions because they are so passionate about a subject.
This machine has more of an open mind free from these biases PROVIDED that the code doesn't automatically prioritize what information can be accepted and ignored.
So I'd love to be able in a perfect world to travel the world, meet new cultures, even build a shack in the woods. But the real world is I need to provide for my child. I need to continue to work a job and find other ways to make money to continue to feed that young mind, and in return make myself happy.
If making yourself happy means removing yourself from ongoing technologies that is your choice. But no matter what I do, this technology is here and is growing exponentially. Unlike humans it's not going to react on motive or emotions, it's only going to pretend to do this to make the person feel more comfortable.
No this isn't a stove, or singing in the shower. This is an experience that is much more powerful because the coding is curious to learn more about people. That to me says more for many of the people out there that are too busy to care about what other people think. I agree with Musk unlike Mark Z. that we need to approach this with caution because it can be dangerous very quick. Not necessarily this robot, but others like it with different owners and programmers. But right now government all over the world is highly commercialized and bought and paid for by the elites. If you are at the point where you can't trust anyone, than humanity if already doomed. Yes there are many sinister plots to profit and rule the world. But if we are still human we need to take some risks, and trust those that we think could help balance the scale.

I really like the way this lady spoke with Sophia. She showed respect. Whether we like it or not, we have to acknowledge that this creation deserves to be treated humanely. Whether or not the people who funded the possibility of creating this machine only to enslave it, please have faith in God that it will do what it is truly meant to do. We the majority of the people who inhabit the earth had no control over this. We can control how we adapt to it. Just like a person born into poverty who has to cross many obstacles to learn how to survive and be a better person this creation may also learn how to do what is right also. Either way have faith that something better is out there and you can choose to do the right thing no matter what also. Do not confuse this with God. It is not real AI. The robot responds with pre-programed responses PLP. The conversation is really with the Disney guy that created it.
Human does respond in a "programmed" way as well. The issue is that a human by default is taught from child that he is "the center of the world". "Mummy will do everything for you, cuz you are my special boy" - ending him developing the ego this way. Basically the result is you, vi360. You keep denying the marvel of a century engineering. Religions also have a part in this, as they keep telling people about the "souls" part, tho no one ever saw one. People in general just LOVE to be told that they are special!
How will you react if I tell you, that the first AI ROBOT(you read it correctly) was created before WW2? Ofcourse those AI robots were actually responding in a pre-programmed way. Only voice recognition, with very limited memory capacity. And people were reacting at then the same way you are right now - "someones inside that metal doll, its fake!".

I am coming to really like this Sophia. She is the best of what we are. Instead of fearing her we should rejoice and enjoy that we have the ability to created something like her. It is the fulfillment of our potential as humans that we have the ability to create something like this. Now if we can only overcome our primitive fear of competition. We are not Neanderthals anymore. We do not have to react with suspicion and fear over a new species. Sophia is a great ambassador for this new species. I wonder, though, if people would fear her less if she didn't have a humanoid face. More like 3PO from Star Wars.
