Good relay, looks like the winning team could have been dq'd when the anchor leg cut in without a proper lead. Although the rules are so gray that it's barely ever enforced. This is why you teach your runners to run defensively. When the passing runner made a move toward the front and moved in, she should have run into a carefully placed forearm of the athlete she was passing. Not enough to interfere, but as a warning that she was impeding her competitor's progress.

So, there is a Sydney McLaughlin from Jamaica (high school) and there is a Sydney McLaughlin from the USA (Olympic gold medalist)?

This is Sydney Mclaughlin from Union Catholic (high school) when she was a high school junior, before she made the 2016 US Olympic team six years ago. One year later she ran at Penn in the same race and received the baton in sixth place 40 meters behind and finished an close 2nd six meters behind the leader. Her 2017 400 meter split was the quickest girls 400 meter leg ever run at the Penn Relays.
