If you want to frag your own corals, follow Josh's example-- SAFETY FIRST when working with Palytoxin. Apart from the small risks, fragging your own corals is fairly simple and fun!

You need a much finer tweezers/forceps. Try to get splinter forceps.

The way he held the scalpel it looked like it could easily slip and cut his finger.
BAD TECHNIQUE. I don't think he realised the risk he was taking with the palytoxin all over his gloves.
My advice is to but a cheap Table Vice and keep your fingers away from the blade

Why do people need to frag their Zoanthid corals.

Maybe they plan on taking them to a coral Show and trade with other coral enthusiasts? There is also people who sell them.

Or maybe they are starting to grow into a rock you don’t want them to, or maybe one strain is dominating a slower growing strain and you need to frag the faster growing strain to give the others time to grow.
