This idea is such a popular one, that we've even seen similar ideas in canon with characters like Goku Black. However, today we'll be exploring a scenario where Kakarot is found and raised by the Crane School, changing the entire course of his childhood. Instead of losing his Saiyan memories and growing up as a well-rounded student of the Turtle School, what happens when he goes down a much darker path? Let's discuss!

I love how this is going so far. None of the Saiyans being hostile immediately because there was no reason to be and Vegeta acknowledging Kakarot's potential was a nice touch.
I like it too. I hope Salad doesn't do something like randomly have Vegeta be a total dick to Kakarot and make him want to betray the squad for the sake of having conflict. I'd much rather have Salad talk about the planetary invasions the Sayians are sent on, and have him tell us about the battles the Sayian squad fight, rather than him just having the Sayians suddenly begin training non-stop to overthrow Frieza and skip over all of the stuff they're ordered to do as ACTUAL members of the Frieza Force. Hell, I hope he includes some inter-factional politics stuff, like the Sayian squad and the Ginyu Force grappling for the position of Frieza's elite squadron.

I feel like this should lean a bit more into the Oozaru form, since The sayians would presumably teach him to control it. Also it's a bit of a "evil" associated form.
The Super Saiyan canonically allows evil into your heart and even Goku isn’t pure when using it. Meaning that Super Saiyan is still a better form for him. Now if you mean Super Saiyan 4 then I fully support Ozzaru being used
I know it's not cannon but I would really like false super Saiyan being incorporated. Its from a DBZ movie and is a cool alternative to super Saiyan
@@TheUncivilizedNation Oh, he should 100% get SSJ eventually, but a goku with in control Oozaru is somewhat novel and could eventually lead to SSJ4 instead as well.
@@mikeosayawe4348 its not really an alternative, its more so an incomplete super saiyan, like ultra instinct omen, or in another way super saiyan in base like wrathful.

A True saiyan instead of frieza Evil level
Honestly once the Saiyans got involved I was ready to start seeing some parallels with "What if Freeza Raised Kakarot?" but with all the directions you've been going in recently, I have faith that Salad is probably gonna be going VERY very different with this one.
Now that Kakarot is in space too and away from Earth, he's basically no longer grounded by the main Dragon Ball story and Salad can kind of just do whatever the hell he wants now. Can't wait to see more!!

This definitely sets up for an interesting story. I could even see this Kakarot essentially becoming Universe 7's version of Hit from his influence with the Crane School and Mercenary Tao.

I kinda wish was we could see the Crane School Gi alongside Kakarot’s Saiyan Armor. Makes sense for his character.
We could see it in a later part. Thing is Salad has to draw/edit these custom characters so it’s gonna take some time before we see something like that
You know Karakot being raised under the crane school was actually a nice touch I would love to see Kakarot and Tien having some sort of rivalry and Tien being one of the main characters in the stories
Ah so this is more of Goku been trained/raised by the Crane School than him been "Evil" cool. 👍 Although now I'm wondering how they will defeat Frieza here, because they will not have any help like gravity training and the Dragon Balls are off the table too because they aren't know too here. Anyways another good start to this new series, and looking forward to the next part.

Could Tien and Chiaotzu factor more prominently in this series??? They almost always fall by the wayside. Tien has some cool techniques, like The Four Witches

I absolutely LOVE this what-if! What ifs that stray away from just reciting the evens of Dragon Ball Z but with a new character present are like crack cocaine to me. I love the fact that we get to see Goku join the Sayians instead of Nappa and Raditz just being cannon-fodder. I hope we get to see a lot of the adventures that the crew have, complete with detailed invasions of alien planets as the Sayians continue their conquest across the stars! I sincerely hope that this doesn't just turn into a "Goky teaches the Sayians about training, and in the course of one afternoon they all train enough to overthrow Frieza and then they do so." I would love to see you talk about the Sayian crew invading alien worlds, the adventures that they have in the Frieza army. This is a perfect opportunity to do some grade-A worldbuilding (or world destroying!) of the galaxy and the Frieza Force, as well as letting us see the Sayians in action!
That would be cool. Also we could see entirely custom "villains"? Heroes? Just other aliens? This story could go way off the original story, maybe even getting to a point where Frieza isn't even defeated until WAYYYY later, or maybe won't ever be defeated. And since there are only 5 pure blooded Saiyans, there might not even be Super Saiyan God in this what if.
@@SlayingSin Realistically, Frieza would be the only villain we see from the original story. Cell and the androids would never be developed because the Red Ribbon Army was never destroyed, and Majin Buu would never be revived because there aren't any powerful warriors on earth. That pretty much means that any antagonists are going to have to be brand new.

I like that a lot very interesting. I have to admit it's a little strange without King Piccolo and his demons. And I guess here Kakarrot is not getting married with Chi-Chi or anyone. So it means no Gohan and Goten.

It’s completely amazing how making a few tweaks here and there can completely change the story
Well, considering how Goku/Kakarot's power level when he originally met Raditz was significantly lower (Raditz was practically able to one-shot him), I see 1200 by the time he would have entered the 23rd WMAT as a significant improvement already. He'll have no trouble rising to future challenges. And who knows, maybe by the time of Namek, they'll all be strong enough to contend with Frieza.
This what if has a chance to be entirely different, maybe not even getting to Dragon Balls until WAYYY later, that would also mean Frieza doesn't get defeated until wayyyy later.
I can't wait for this to continue

Hey Salad! I have some suggestions you could use for your what-if:
With the Sayians still being rather weak at this point, and the goal of overthrowing Frieza still being a distant dream, I think it would be really cool if you had the Sayian squad interact a lot with the other Frieza Force members. Once the Sayians get a lot stronger, you could talk about the Sayians and the Ginyu Force developing a rivalry and grappling with each other over the title of "Frieza's elite special forces squadron." Since the Dragon Balls were never really mentioned, Frieza would never have heard about them, so the deadline to beat Frieza before he uses the Namekian dragon balls for immortality never comes into play, and neither will Vegeta see immortality as the way to beat Frieza instead of developing his Sayian squadron, meaning he won't treat his underlings like disposable garbage, because he still thinks he will need them to help overthrow Frieza.
Finally, Dokkan OSTs.
Edit: I really like this one! Definitely really unique! I am kinda surprised Tien didn't try to stop him from leaving though.
