I just want to thank 034 for the support they showed me and are continuing to show me when I lost my S5 the same way they lost their S4. They help me figure out the issue and help me with locating my new S5. STAND UP COMPANY!
It was an honor joining you all on the drag strip with my SQ5, and seeing the new B9 S4 running a 10.0 within 24 hours of it being dead stock. I was horrified to hear about Phoenix burning down. Props to the entire 034 team on taking a horrible situation and turning it 180 degrees around. Just goes to show how hard they are willing to work to make things happen. Either that being in the tuning, hardware, or marketing departments, they will put in the effort above and beyond. Good work guys. See you in the 9’s.

This made me walk out to my B9 S4 and check my oil cap to see if it was loose. It's solid. I did recently replace my PVC valve because that is what actually leaks.
Same.. I was in the garage on the treadmill and thought I smelled something. I came back inside and this was the first YT vid after the treadmill. 15 seconds in I paused and went back to my garage lol.
This is the answer. Blow by making it past. Motor runs in vacuum. Pressurize the crankcase... I banged my head against a wall for a month trying to figure out what in the hell. A quality smoke machine is worth its weight in gold.
This reminded me of Porsche’s Journey to LeMans series. Ups and downs but you and the team came out strong. Keep up the great content.

Installed your sister company’s PCV/Catch Can combo to mitigate this issue after replacing my oem cap and hose. Racingline’s solution seems to be a good option for the time being.

Failed PCV? Out of an abundance of caution I just ordered a new PCV for my B9 SQ5 after I saw a video story of someone losing their Stage 3 S5 in a similar fashion. Well done on the replacement build!!!

Feeling lucky to have avoid a fire myself when my own oil cap blew off due to the PVC valve getting clogged. Definitely looking forward to how 034 solves this problem and glad everyone is safe!

I did the same thing sorta, so the inspiration behind this video is really appreciated. I totaled my car being a dumbass. Rebuilt my car and my life in 3 months time and now have one of fastest suvs in world, with an engine torn apart in the shed ready to push the limits 😂 friends and hobbies are 👌
Rock on ! Turning a perceived Liability to an Asset is the core to solid engineering and fantastic business leadership. I’m almost inspired to rapid prototype to the oil cap issues, whip up a 3d model and print it in PA12-CF. You guys should hold competitions for parts engineering lol

We will work on releasing something in the coming few months, for the time being check the factory hose and be sure the check valve is functioning.

@@kxram7304 If you have oil seeping out of the cap, just go ahead and replace the part. It’s the breather hose between the inlet and PCV. Here’s the revised part # 06M-103-217-CT

It is currently in development. We do not have an ETA at this time.
Have you heard of the oil cap coming off a b8/8.5? Would definitely be interested in a 034 oil cap for that extra insurance!
We have not observed this same issue on the B8 platform.

What kind of wheels and tires are you using? I want to get the same setup but not have to downgrade on brake size
For the drag strip runs, Enkei RPF1 17x8 wheels wrapped in 225/40/17 Hoosier DR2 tires. This required some shaving of the factory front calipers to ensure proper clearance.
What rpm do u launch the car ?
The RPM varies based on whatever is required to build the requested torque.
So with the oil cap issue, how was it resolved? Unless I missed it, I wish that would have been mentioned within the video.
It’s not 100% resolved, at the time of the filling I’d the video we didn’t fully understand it but it now appears to be an issue with a failed factory PCV check valve that pressurizes the crankcase, first step is to check the factory hose to ensure it hasn’t failed, see our Live #139 where we discuss this more.

Where is the the P34 intake for the SQ5???,
We are not developing a P34 for the SQ5 at this time. While we'd love to offer a plastic version of the X34 intake system, the mold fees involved would land the intake near the price of the X34 system.
We are developing a sub $400 intake system that will be a competitive option! This will utilize a massive filter and a carbon fiber heat shield!

My new Audi A4 40 Tfsi 2023 suddenly coght fire in the middle of the night 🌙. It's seems that the engine computer management sent a wrong signals even the engine was off.
