  • In today's video, we're looking at using constant lights in photography, shooting both film (on the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II) and digital (using the Sony a7IV). We'll mostly focus on using ‪@ZhiyunTechGlobal‬'s new MOLUS X60RGB palm-sized light, alongside their MOLUS X100 bi-colour light.

I honestly love using constant lights! I love strobes too but constant lights are just so easy to use and RGB lights give you so many options quickly

Thank you so much! And mostly shooting wide open at 2.8 (which is what I shoot at for most of my portraits anyway) but could range to around 5.6 at 1/250 for some of the set ups.

Do you know if this will fit a 48 inch parabolic soft box?

If it’s Bowens mount, you’ll be able to use it with the Bowen’s mount adapter

Hi Sophia! Im really interested in these lights. I also shoot film and on the studio setup you did, were you shooting at F2.8 on your Mamiya or is the lights powerful enough for you to shoot at higher F stops and higher shutter speeds?

Hey! Yes, for the most part I was shooting at 2.8! But I shoot the majority of my work wide open regardless! You also could probably shoot at smaller apertures but just use slower shutter speeds (especially if you have a steady hand and/or a tripod)!

@@SophiaCarey Thank you! So to confirm, even at F2.8 you are getting useable shutter speeds without trying to be super stable hand holding your RZ67? is this correct? Your input is really helpful so I hope to get your confimation on this! thank you again!

Yes, when shooting at 2.8 I was consistently able to meter at around 1/250. Personally, I find handheld fine until 1/60 or 1/30 if I really need ro
