Good review, however, how well does it grind coffee? Does the vortex make a difference instead of having to shake it? You bought one. Obviously. you must like it. Nonetheless, I gave you a Thumbs Up for a real review, even though it was just comparing sounds. From what I've seen so far, the new grinder is better in many areas. You can pick one of these up now for about $40. Thanks for the video 👍
Ya it does grind very well without picking it up. I use it only for coffee and it grinds really well to different levels of fineness depending on preference. I think most people don’t need to dial speed model that I reviewed. There’s a cheaper one for $30 that is basically just one speed.
@@logdoggybrown could you link to the cheaper one?
@@Frosty-cg8xf Why? That cheaper one is a piece of crap
Did you watch the review??? He’s literally grinding coffee!
ur like the only one reviewing this that's a human LOL
Lol I guess I’m a savage that way review all the useless stuff lol
*Have had 3 of these units in the past 20+ years. They are good grinders **MyBest.Kitchen** what most if not all the complaints are about concerns a small pop-up switch in the bottom of the unit where the clear plastic hopper slides in. Please don't throw the unit away when nothing happens after pressing the start button. Just take the hopper out, clean @ the pop-up switch or vacuum the area around the switch and I think you'll find that it turns on. Hope this helps....have read reviews where the unit only worked for one grinding, then mysteriously quit working. Again, clean the switch it will most likely solve the issue.*
I saw the same comment for a different grinder
What an amazing and thorough review. Thank you.
I be wouldn’t call any of my content amazing but hopefully it helps!
Very well done and Excellent review !! - bought one
Thank you 😊. Exactly what I was looking for.
This is a great and very helpful review! Thank you! Our 2 cats get scared every day with the sound of the coffee grinder and I can't stand tipping the whole thing to get the grinds out which results in spills 2+% of the time which are a PIA to cleanup. Getting the silent vortex!
Exactily what I was looking for, thanks!
I have a similar model and I thought the blades being loose was because it was a defective model. My primary use of this is for fine grinding of spices and sometimes I prepare dipping sauces. My concern with the loose blades is the mix will seep out the bottom.
great review - very helpful!!
Wow that's a significant amount of quiet difference
I just bought 1 for 20 dol only difference it didn’t come with a high or low setting the box did say quiet I will see once I try but that doesn’t matter to me as long as it does what I’m needing it to do 😊 thanks for your video & review
Can you show us what is the finest you can get the coffee grinded
If I need to grind for 2 minutes, does It need a break after the 1rst minute or would be ok to continue? I think If you hold It when grinding It sounds even quiter?
I think it's definitely quieter than the cheaper one and I like that it comes out to clean.
What size motor does it have? How strong is it?
How do you feel about burr-mill versus blade? I can honestly taste the difference, between them. Now l just gotta decide if the that is more important then the quieter, grinder.
If you can taste the difference, it’s maybe a matter of what you prefer tastes better. I don’t think this grinder is quiet enough to really make it a selling point. That’s my bottom line of this video.
@@logdoggybrown Thanks for your honest opinion, and review. I’m sure it’s better then your other one, because it’s quieter. I think I’ll stick with burr mill, and get one that’s rated low on Db’s!
Out of the bag from Amazon, the body has a rattle from inside the body. Problem?
The one at 6:03 sounds like the one my American mom has. You can hear it from an upstairs bedroom! I particularly like the one at 6:16. I'd looooooooooooooove to purchase one of those grinders, since my American sister recommended it to me. As I am sight challenged, I hope it's a safe and mess-free way to grind herbs and spices for home style ranch dressing. I wonder, can it also grind grains? Or would I need a different machine for grain grinding? Better yet, I wonder if I could make instant coffee with a coffee grinder. If so, how would I do it?
My stainless cup is suddenly getting stuck after using the grinder... it doesn't want to easily release. It's fairly new and hasn't been used often. Anyone else have this issue and how to correct it?
What's the difference between this one (orange accents) and the completely grey one?
Sorry wrong comment, the difference is the orange accented one has low and high speed for slightly quieter grinding and slightly faster on high setting
Update: as far as I can tell the orange one has a high and low setting. Aside from that and the color, it’s the same as the $32 gray one from Walmart. I went with the cheaper one and am satisfied. Disclaimer - it’s definitely NOT silent. Far from it. But it is quieter. Lower frequency. That combined with the removable grinder cup which makes it easier to pour the grounds in the coffee pot, etc makes it a keeper and worth the upgrade from the basic entry level Krups.
Agreed, only SLIGHLTY quieter, speed settings aren’t useful for coffee, but possibly certain spices. Not worth the price mark up.
Thank you. I thought there was a pretty big sound difference myself.
The one with the higher tone was a bit louder.
Excellent Review! exactly what I was wondering.... the noise level is a huge factor for us. Just wondering...is it possible to just grind 1-2 cups worth of coffee beans? What is minimum amount needed? Thanks!
Yes you can definitely grind smaller amounts, the fewer the beans the louder it is though
The loud brand cup comes out also
All right. a sold me :)
The issue I’ve had so far is when cleaning the grinder top, water gets stuck in the bits by the button, since there is a void in the plastics (for fitting reasons). Can’t seem to get it out, and it worries me having water just sit in there. Have you run in to this? If so, Amy tips?
I've had the similar problem when I take the lid and the stainless steel cup out of the dishwasher I find that I have to shake them, to shake the water out. Also the orange inner lining always has extra bits of coffee which I use a toothbrush to remove.
Does It grind fine enough for espresso?
Yes, I’ve used it for that before
Bought one!! The black one for $34
Will this work for herb?
Not sure what herb is?
@@logdoggybrown weed sir :D
Will this work for cilantro
Absolutely, it’s built for herbs as well, and the way the blade sucks in to the center I’d say it would work great
Best part of this review is when you said that you were going to stop talking. Damn. The “weird “ things “ that you mentioned.. . It’s called engineering.
In Italy on Amazon the cost of this coffee grinder is 277 euros, you have excellent prices in the USA
thisd is 50 bucks in germany as well
60 US Dollars in Australia
Yes yes, it's the beans hitting plastic that drives me nuts. thanks.
Logan, Write down what you plan to say and do in your video before you record it. This video should be about 4 minutes long based on what you did/said. It will help you do a better video. As far as the grinders, if you get a pad under it, like a heavy mouse pad or maybe a hot pad for pans, it will help quiet the grinder. I use a hand grinder as the noise drives me crazy and everyone is sleeping when I make coffee. I like the review, you just need to condense it a bit.
Alright thanks for the tips David
Mine came today. NO 2 SPEEDS BUTTON. Just 1.
Looks solid. Instruction book tells you Nothing!
I hear they have a good job on the corner selling pencils
We haven't been able to take the cup off lol
Counterclockwise twist should do it if you have the same model as me
I'm having trouble taking the cup off too. Turning counter clockwise just loosens it but it seems like it's stuck on something.
I’m really sorry! I haven’t had or heard this issue before! Wonder if it’s a faulty unit? Maybe reach out to the manufacturer for a replacement. Otherwise I will look into it.
@@nicolebright6665 yes, we have the same problem. Worked well for several months, but today can't remove the cup.
Aw man, that sucks. If it happens to mine I’ll make a video of a possible fix
been flew into your rad at 5:07
Ahah I’ll be smelling that as the weeks go on
Maybe gently turn it over in your hands a few times to collect the coffee in the cup, instead of shaking. I do not like the "safety" switch of these kinds of devices, which requires that I lift the lid to turn it off and let some of the powder escape. The lid is also loose in storage. The button is a nicer version. I wish the blades would unscrew for cleaning.
Just wrap them in a thick bath towel and hold them. That will reduce lots of noise.
Lol!
At 6:04 he finally stops talking and actually uses the grinder. Just some FYI for you so you can fast forward. You’re welcome.
When they get into mass production, the price will come down
This man does not need to be doing a review on a new product. I want to see the good features and he’s showing me what he thinks and he doesn’t know the bad features a loose plate so you can clean around it a cup that you can remove from the electrical parts and wash it properly this man does it belong giving a product report
If u really wanted a silent operation, should've considered a timemore hand grinder. Also the the coffee will be 200x better minimum
Aw man you are right!
Looks very flimsy.
The Amazon review videos are useless.
