    This is very well done and thought through. I love the sliding pads. All the components properly built! Thanks for the mention, this is beautifully improved solution! I’m itchy to develop aluminum V2 roof ruck with the CNC in my shop. I might take few ideas from you! Cheers, Ladi

    This came out so clean and with great precision. I've got (2) 450w bifacial panels that i want to tilt and I'm going to build something similar to yours. I have a maxxfan that will be able to fully open while under the panels when they are down.
    I appreciate how clean everything looks with great wire management and i also like that you're antenna uses an actuator to keep the low profile.
    I wish i could understand the exact principals used at the hinges to allow the panels to slide before catching. Obviously the actuators would continue pushing the panels parallel to the rack until they were met with some type of stopping mechanism to hold them, making the panels rize but i couldn't make it out during the video.
    Anyways, great work and it was good also to see you give cudos to Ladi for his inspiration.
    Thanks!

      Thank you so much! Your plan sounds terrific! I wish I had found bifacial solar panels.. Well I could make a video to explain the hinges design but I need to figure out a software to record my laptop screen. So I can show the 3D model and explain it easier. Stay tuned!

  • @BrodeOne
    @BrodeOne Před 4 měsíci

    nice work, love that... hope i will be able to do similar roof rack, the different timing of the actuators, isn't that due the different length of the cabels? because then the resistance is different.

    • @diegosvan
      @diegosvan  Před 4 měsíci

      Thank you!! It could be the cable resistance! Didn’t had time to check it yet. I’m too busy with the build.🙈 I’ll check the voltage on the motors while they’re running to diagnose it.👍🏻 thanks!✌🏻

    Hello from Hamburg Germany, I think your solution with the set-up solar panels is great. But I still have one question about it... On one Side is the locking mechanism. How did you solve the problem on the other Side? The panels have to move horizontally a few centimeters before they move up. How is the guide released on the side opposite the locking mechanism. Greetings from the rainy Hamburg.... Peter....

    • @diegosvan
      @diegosvan  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Thank you Peter! I know I didn’t show that particular section in the video… I should make a video explaining it. You are not the only person asking this. Anyway everything slides on a block of Teflon or also known as PTFe. Inside a small piece of aluminum profile. Stay tuned maybe in the next video I’ll talk about it! 👍🏻

    Hi Diego, If you would not have shown the Idea came from Ladi I knew it was coming from him :-) very nice version 2 though! I think Ladi and Margret are the nr one in being open in the process of really fabricating on the fly. If I remember correctly Ladi even mentioned something making it in aluminium. But it is the mechanism he came up with that is top notch. But again nice version 2. Best regards, Albert 🇳🇱. P.S. the pp boxes you installed do they have a function?
