I know what you mean about getting outta there... we drove several hours to an estate sale and once i purchased exactly what I wanted; I chose to leave. I didn't even look around the rest of the house. I was on such a high after my score that I couldn't think clearly anymore to browse the rest of the house. My husband couldn't believe it. Love your Mason's haul-- very lovely.
My grandmother's set had an oddly stained bowl with a nice lid that I thought was for butter rounds but I think she kept it by the stove for bacon drippings. Later they'd be used to cook greens or oil pans.
