On Day 18, Ying and I took a taxi from Thimphu to Paro where we’d spend our last few days in Bhutan. Taxi from Thimphu to Paro - 1,500 BTN ($22.46).
We checked into Tashi Namgay Resort to spend a couple nights.
Rinpung Dzong - One of the main things to do in Paro is visit the Rinpung Dzong, one of the main attractions and centers of Bhutan culture in Paro.
Sonam Trophel Restaurant - For lunch we ate at Sonam Trophel restaurant, one of the oldest restuarants in Bhutan, serving mainly Indian food and Bhutanese food. The pork momos were excellent and I also liked the Indian style egg curry. Total price - 690 BTN ($10.33)
For dinner, I ate back at the hotel, and had room service as we would be having a big day ahead of us tomorrow climbing to Tiger’s Nest!

I really love this Bhutan series. I rarely hear anything about Bhutan so its good to be able to see the beauty of this country through Mark's lenses.
Wow 18 days in Bhutan. This is a lifelong fantasy of mine. Your the luckiest man alive.
Mark, I'm glad your very kind and with thick skin. This is your video and majority of us like you video that way you do it. Negative and unkind remarks are from a small groups. They will always find bad things in people and places. Thanks for sharing your work and time doing this.
Another great video, thanks Mark. Even though you have had many of the same dishes a few times I've noticed there are subtle differences in ingredients and how they are prepared. A very beautiful and unspoiled country that we are lucky enough to have you share with us.
Thank you Mark and Ying! I have enjoyed watching the videos!
Looks like you invented a new verb: to ezay. "I'm about to ezay this momo"
Lao Tseu 😆
Mark, you owe Ying a lot of gratitude for enduring cold farm stays without being able to shower for days. I don't think many wives would put up with that. Be sure to thank her for the amazing support! If I ever get the chance to visit the Far East, Bhutan will be the first stop on my list!
SIR , YOU MAKE ME WANNA GO THERE AND ENJOY THE BEAUTY AND THE CULTURE AND THEIR FOOOOODDDDDDDDDDD ! PEACE , IDA
- You and me both!
APPLAUDING HARD !
trust me you can't really get bored with ezay and datsi...but can't argue that's all we eat most of the time.
I get why people think it's boring. The food looks pretty much the same and only slightly different, but seriously, I think he's saying at different homestays in which they cook home-cooked meals that they cook everyday. So, he can't really have a say. And I'm sure he stayed at like a rural area, not a city, so pardon him for that please, just don't watch the video instead of writing negative comments, cause Mark genuinely seems like a nice guy.
Yoan Hartono completely agree, people don't seem to understand that this a landlocked private country in asia...
I feel Mark should have realize there's something with this Bhutan series before releasing, Mark is known to venture out and trying street food, just too bad this series is censored by the Bhutan Tourism, hence its so repetitive....
Sure, I think we understand that. But was it necessary to release 18 videos? 18!!! Edit it down to 5 and let's move on. 5 videos of momos + ezay seems more than enough.
Then Go away and dont watch . Easy done. now go away
Yoan Hartono agree
Bhutan looks amazing!
I wanna go to Bhutan in someday. I love nature and simply foods. Thank you Mark.
LOVE THE VIDEO MARK AND YING BHUTAN IS AMAZING.....
My friends and I like to play a drinking game while watching Mark's videos.Every time he leans we take a drink or whenever he says hot and fresh etc.One video where he was about to eat a burger we decided to have a drink every time he said "juice" or "juices" The video was only around 8 minutes long but we had to pause it for a refill!😂
The food is great but seeing another land and people are even greater. I cannot travel and do so through Mark. He goes cheap or even more expensive. Mark is real in his travels and the restaurants he visits. I appreciate the fact he travels for me.
I love his reaction for food that smile tho😂😂😇
i think you can pretty much tell when Mark is enjoying the food and when he isn't without being rude to his hosts. When he is really enjoying the food, he tilts his head to the side and smiles and if it's an "okay dish" he nods his head only and makes few remarks about what he likes about the dish.
Keep on spreading the Ezzeeeehh! love your Videos Mark
Mark is showing what he ate in a day in Bhutan..n how he enjoying food in every single day ..I love volg ..n who cares repeat food ..that's every people does in life...enjoy ur holiday
Thanks for sharing Mark. I love all your videos.
Another great video.
I just love Bhutan for originality and authenticity of the food made from food grown in Bhutan. I would love to visit Bhutan for beautiful nature, fresh and clean air and its unique culture.
Look at all these people calling Mark fake and dishonest, yet they continue to watch his videos.
I enjoying every videos of Mark. So nice.

I love it videos bro....best of luck for ur channel👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the video!
ezay finally verbs itself
I am drooling at the food...looks tasty
Mark! How could you eat the same food again and again and you keep on saying everything taste good? He he! You must have a big heart!
Flower Misses your comment is far more profound than you realize.
You can't satisfy the human heart. Even though he's being fed mark is grateful for what he has. I'm sure the people living their are grateful for what they have.
And I'm sure the slightest change they have they are grateful for.
Why is it hard to please you people who have access to more??
Every body eat many food again and again and enjoyed what s a difference
that moment when you hear, "ae ae, hunxa madam hunxa hajur", coming out from cab driver feels so homely.. :D
Bhutan has some beautiful structures and homes. What a country. It is well kept too👍
great tour blog...m following your blog since the start of the trip and subscribed
Thankyou Mark I am really enjoying these videos of Bhutan. What an incredible country. So beautiful. Off to hunt out the recipes😁
Mark although I seriously can't stand your facial expressions most of the time ---- I still watch your blogs daily. I can't sleep until I have seen them. I must have watched each travel video 3 times.....my fave was the one day trip in indonesia where u guys sat on the floor & they put the rice on a long banana leaf plus diff curries alongside. I have seen that blog about 10 times. 2nd fave is Korean series where u & Ying were invited by the tourism ppl to promote North Korea. Loved it!! I dunno why ppl are whinging about Nepal ---- I absolutely loved it. It gave me a chance to visit Nepal without leaving home. The food may have been the same due to extreme weather conditions etc but the beautiful mountains, rivers etc were a delight for the sore eyes. Thanks for your great videos.
All i wait is for his head signature move haha
Essentials Videos yes thats a signal that he is hving an yummy dish.
Love the videos, Mark. I don't think you'll ever need to eat any of these dishes again.
Food and travel - my two favourite things!

Nice vid buddy......
The chicken and curry looked awesome....
Cheers Kim...
Omg just ate and this makes me hungry again haha. thanks Mark!
Really so homogeneous a nation Bhutan is, where the diet is consistent throughout the different region he's been to but as long as it taste good , who cares?
Brilliant videos Mark - so many of us may never make it to Bhutan... you made it possible though - it's like traveling there with you and ying!
I'm having a bowl of green bean soup now - it tastes like ezay!!!
Very beautiful place . Beautiful house and the people . Like to visit there . Thanks u .
I would loose my mind if for 20 days in such a beautiful country I couldn't have 2 days to myself to explore on my own. Mark is so patient.
I really love this man and his expressions :D
Mike and yim I'm obsessed with you video travel food videos can't eat a lot of those delicious plates for health issues but I just enjoy see it and for the way you enjoy it probably are very good greetings to you and you lovely wife from Indiana USA. keep travel and enjoying life.
every place/country has its unique culture, people, and food....authentic food/ or staple food, also location and weather contributes spicificaly on what kind of food the people adapt to produce, if you stay in a place long time enough you will also eat the same food, i think this bhutan series keep a good feature on how the people prepare, present thier food and stuffs but in varieties of ways according to each village, even to others they see as "all the same thing" but their is a distinc feature in each one,
Mark...I think there is a lot of FAST FOOD LOVERS watching your videos now ...don't worry!!! Is hard to please everyone!! I love my job but I think yours is much better!!! enjoy!!!❤😃
I like marks videos
hey Mark, can you please include in your videos which dates n months you were there....

KrispyChicken

He definitely love spices and pepper
Huge one bites are sophisticated, natural and healthy for digestion, please do more so the ignorance of viewers may be educated.
Hi Mark, You look so tired, probably like you said, no shower, too cold, hope you will fresh after the shower, so so beautiful, just simply amazing, Thank you Mark , Bee 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏻😍
I don't even really watch the videos anymore, just come for the comments. One man can only take so many momo's + ezays.
