    On Day 18, Ying and I took a taxi from Thimphu to Paro where we’d spend our last few days in Bhutan. Taxi from Thimphu to Paro - 1,500 BTN ($22.46).
    We checked into Tashi Namgay Resort to spend a couple nights.
    Rinpung Dzong - One of the main things to do in Paro is visit the Rinpung Dzong, one of the main attractions and centers of Bhutan culture in Paro.
    Sonam Trophel Restaurant - For lunch we ate at Sonam Trophel restaurant, one of the oldest restuarants in Bhutan, serving mainly Indian food and Bhutanese food. The pork momos were excellent and I also liked the Indian style egg curry. Total price - 690 BTN ($10.33)
    For dinner, I ate back at the hotel, and had room service as we would be having a big day ahead of us tomorrow climbing to Tiger’s Nest!
    Disclosure:
    It was an honor to be invited by MyBhutan to visit Bhutan to explore Bhutanese food and culture. Thank you to MyBhutan Productions for making my trip and this video possible!

    Mark, I'm glad your very kind and with thick skin. This is your video and majority of us like you video that way you do it. Negative and unkind remarks are from a small groups. They will always find bad things in people and places. Thanks for sharing your work and time doing this.

    Another great video, thanks Mark. Even though you have had many of the same dishes a few times I've noticed there are subtle differences in ingredients and how they are prepared. A very beautiful and unspoiled country that we are lucky enough to have you share with us.

    Mark, you owe Ying a lot of gratitude for enduring cold farm stays without being able to shower for days. I don't think many wives would put up with that. Be sure to thank her for the amazing support! If I ever get the chance to visit the Far East, Bhutan will be the first stop on my list!

    @yoanhartono8691 Před 7 lety +153

    I get why people think it's boring. The food looks pretty much the same and only slightly different, but seriously, I think he's saying at different homestays in which they cook home-cooked meals that they cook everyday. So, he can't really have a say. And I'm sure he stayed at like a rural area, not a city, so pardon him for that please, just don't watch the video instead of writing negative comments, cause Mark genuinely seems like a nice guy.

      I feel Mark should have realize there's something with this Bhutan series before releasing, Mark is known to venture out and trying street food, just too bad this series is censored by the Bhutan Tourism, hence its so repetitive....

    • @Pinworms666
      @Pinworms666 Před 7 lety +9

      Sure, I think we understand that. But was it necessary to release 18 videos? 18!!! Edit it down to 5 and let's move on. 5 videos of momos + ezay seems more than enough.

    i think you can pretty much tell when Mark is enjoying the food and when he isn't without being rude to his hosts. When he is really enjoying the food, he tilts his head to the side and smiles and if it's an "okay dish" he nods his head only and makes few remarks about what he likes about the dish.

    Mark although I seriously can't stand your facial expressions most of the time ---- I still watch your blogs daily. I can't sleep until I have seen them. I must have watched each travel video 3 times.....my fave was the one day trip in indonesia where u guys sat on the floor & they put the rice on a long banana leaf plus diff curries alongside. I have seen that blog about 10 times. 2nd fave is Korean series where u & Ying were invited by the tourism ppl to promote North Korea. Loved it!! I dunno why ppl are whinging about Nepal ---- I absolutely loved it. It gave me a chance to visit Nepal without leaving home. The food may have been the same due to extreme weather conditions etc but the beautiful mountains, rivers etc were a delight for the sore eyes. Thanks for your great videos.

    every place/country has its unique culture, people, and food....authentic food/ or staple food, also location and weather contributes spicificaly on what kind of food the people adapt to produce, if you stay in a place long time enough you will also eat the same food, i think this bhutan series keep a good feature on how the people prepare, present thier food and stuffs but in varieties of ways according to each village, even to others they see as "all the same thing" but their is a distinc feature in each one,
