Thanks for posting. Collette passed away recently…may she R.I.P. and Freddie.. her son who built all the models .. closed up shop. I spent many days here talking to Collette and Freddie…I always paid cash and had a joke ready which made me one of Collette’s favorite customers. They will be greatly missed

I've been coming here for years. I'm very glad you talked to Colette. Very nice and interesting person. I was gonna head over there today, but it closes at 5 and it's 3 right now, and I always spend a very long time in there.

awww shes too cute. Its true fathers and moms need to expose their child to model making. Its teaches finesse , control and patience.

I LOVE to see a store like this and an owner WHO KNOWS HER STUFF!!! I think it's sad that kids don't build models as much as they used to. It's great that the hobby still thrives for those of us who are still involved, with all the great new super detailed kits and accessories. There's NEVER BEEN A BETTER TIME to be a modeler! Not even the SKY is the limit to what you can build today! I would love to see a resurgence in modeling , a kind of RENAISSANCE of the hobby. People who've never built a model don't know what their missing!!! Granted, it's not for EVERYONE . Nothing is, but I bet there's a WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE who'd HAVE A BLAST if they only gave it a try. I always wondered why there's never been commercials on T.V. advertising models. ??? Why not? Everyone's trying to SELL, SELL SELL. Why not advertise? I've only seen PRINT advertisement for models in and on MODELLING MAGAZINES! Isn't that the EPITOME of "Preaching to the Quire"? I would volunteer my time and effort (and skills if need be) to help make commercial ads to help sell model kits and accessories, and help bring this WONDERFUL pastime/hobby into a new GOLDEN AGE!!! LONG LIVE MODELS!!!

What kind of music I want played in the hobby store? Easy answer; I require you to play the 1980s new age techno music, not just the 1960s and 70s rock and roll music such as like 'Herman's Hermits.'

Dean Pitney's 'It Hurts to be in Love' had sounded really colorful to me.
