I met Jimmy Saville early in 1999 at Roundhay Park when I was 29. He seemed and chatted like a nice person. Had I have known the horrible truth about him I wouldn,t have given him the time of day!

And I take it Pete Waterman wasn’t fond of family entertainment then. I wonder then if he didn’t like it how he would have produced any tv shows to do with variety acts, entertainment and comedy shows.
I love their voices but didn't like most of the music of the time period. Seems a pity they didn't come around in the 40s-60s when there were still good quality songs to be sung and their beautiful voices would have made the most of it.
THe Nolan's have wonderful voices, but what they sing is pablum. Cowell & co are watering down musicianship with their pop/idol /bland slop for the ears (Susan Boyle types excepted). When music has true emotion, not manufactured by-committee artifice, it withstands the test of time. I wish the Nolans get the chance to escape the factory of notes and do innovative and meaningful music. They deserve better than pop.

Berine had that amazing top line voice. One of the greatest singing voices I've ever heard.

I’ve also seen there’s no credits for Pete Waterman ever being a producer. This programme was a liar for that.
